We had a wonderful stay. Amy was terrific- gave us all the info we needed and kept in touch the entire trip. The house was cute and cozy and well stocked not only with essentials but also extras like games and kayaks and wood for the fire pit. The property was well maintained and the view was amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed staying at this wonderful cottage located right on the ocean’s edge. Cottage is fully equipped with all you need to enjoy your stay. Best of all is the wonderful deck with 2 Adirondack rocking chairs overlooking the beautiful ocean’s edge. Also enjoyed reading the book on the history of Friendship. Cottage is close to many wonderful hikes that we took our dog on. Perfect in my book! Friendship is a very special town. Hope to return soon!

The views from the deck were absolutely stunning. The sunsets were vibrant and amazing over the ocean. We saw eagles, seals playing, and lots of wildlife. House was very cozy, and relaxing. If your trying to find a super relaxing, peaceful, getaway look no further this is the place for you! Owner was incredibly nice, upfront, and helpful. I would definitely rent from her again. The house has tons of information on places to visit, and sites to see.

The location, sitting on a shady ridge overlooking the bay is superb, picturesque. Peaceful and extremely relaxing. Neighbors very friendly. The house has a wonderful balcony where we spent hours enjoying the tranquil views and cooking on the nice grill. The house was very well-equipped with home supplies and kayaks, although the lack of washer and dryer is a considerable drawback for a family summer vacation. The space is small and feels a bit dank. Our joy was greatly impacted by the leaking septic system in the middle of the backyard emitting a foul odor - the kids had no yard to play in. The house had a number of issues that need attention: back sliding door does not lock, picnic table seat on balcony rotting & unstable, bathroom window frame moldy and water leaks through to basement, leaky pipe in basement, the mattress needs to be replaced, several light bulbs were out, whole house wiring needs an upgrade as there are very few accessible outlets, etc. The futon was covered in doghair. Sadly, when we mentioned these issues to the owner, they were rude and aggressive. A lovely area with great potential but we do not recommend the property.

It is charming cottage in a quiet neighborhood with stunning views. The owner was communicative and helpful. We look forward to renting this property again!

From the moment we arrived we were able to just relax, most of our time was spent sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the deck which has the most amazing view, we watched ,seals, bald eagles, lobster boats, we used the kayaks, sat on the dock deep into the night, saw many meteors, the night sky is so beautiful, thank you for allowing us this amazing rental. We are hopeful to come again. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, we were able to bring our dog which was a huge bonus to us.

We’ve been vacationing in Maine for many years now, and I don’t think there is any place that would surpass our time at Amy’s cottage in Friendship. The cottage itself is fantastic: spotlessly clean, spacious, very comfortable, the kind of wood-paneled accommodation that invokes coziness and warmth, a wide deck, and of course the fantastic views over Muscongus Bay. The sunsets are truly amazing: brilliant skies, sunlight reflecting on the water, clouds lit over the horizon. The mornings too have their own charm, with the hushed, stilled water, and the quiet soaring seabirds. We spent most of our time at the cottage, kayaking, reading, watching, with occasional trips to Jameson’s for dinner, Wallace’s for supplies, Delano’s for seafood, Schooner Landing in Damariscotta, the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland. Amy is wonderful at communicating; it is very clearly that she wants her guests to fully enjoy her cottage, and she does everything possible to make that happen. We’ve found our perfect place, and we will be back as often as we can.

The view is fabulous, and we spent most of our time on the deck. House was as listed and comfortable and the dog loved it. Amy was very attentive to any questions and an issue that we had. Convenient for day trips to lighthouses, and restaurants in the area are great. Wallace's store has everything you need and sandwiches are so good. Looking forward to a return trip!

This was our third stay at this great property. We had a great time kayaking, hiking and viewing the abundant wildlife. We visited Hog Island, Port Clyde, Rockland and other local attractions. We look forward to returning to Friendship, Maine.

We had a very pleasant one week stay at the cottage.

We really enjoyed our time at this well-stocked house. Went out on the water as much as possible. Also took lovely drives to pretty coastal towns as well as a day trip to Acadia. At the house, loved the record player, selection of games/puzzles, pine construction, outdoor deck and firepit. The tide clock was neat too- and helpful! Very cozy cottage!

beautiful quite peaceful

Beautiful, peaceful location on Muscongus Bay. It was a great central location between Camden/Rockport/Rockland and Boothbay/Pemiquid. House is a log cabin and well equipped for all your needs including games and puzzles, except laundry. It was a hot day when we arrived and the house was stuffy so I was pleased to see there were a couple fans as I forgot to pack some. We took full advantage of the kayaks (3) and canoe (1), the bay is a great place with lots of sea birds and seals. Take care of the tides though as they are extreme on the bay and you could get stuck at low tide if you go to to the left of the dock around the point. The sunset is beautiful. Not the greatest place for swimming unless you do not care about seaweed as there is a lot growing around the dock, but a fun place to look for snails and crabs at low tide. The Jameson Point Lobster and Narrows Tavern are close by if you want to eat out.

This is a very well-kept, old style properrty - and easy to love. The house is pine, and yes, the floors creak. It is well-equipped (love the quality knives), clean and has three levels of view! The deck with the grill, the fire pit with the adirondack chairs and the dock. the suset needs to be seen from all locations! And the kayaks are in great condition. The host was helpful, straighforward and charming. We truly enjoyed our week.

Quiet, relaxing cottage in perfect location for a getaway. We had a great time relaxing. The cottage offered everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the kayaks.

There is no way to even describe the loveliness of this location. It is quiet, and the view out the front is breath taking. There are loons and seals right off the house. The kayaks and canoe were a highlight of the trip. And the house, while seemingly basic, is perfectly outfitted (with the exception of no laundry.) I highly recommend.

The property is as advertised, and the bay and dock are beautiful. We especially enjoyed the kayaks, and exploring the islands nearby. Check-in/out was easy to follow. Thanks!

This was our second stay at Delano Cove in Friendship, Maine. We love the location, neighbors, sunsets and the surrounding area. We are likely to visit here again.

The property needs a lot of updates and the caretaker needs to clean the house better. Under the current conditions, we spent many days cleaning the house.

We had a great location, great weather and great food. The house is as advertised, but the pictures of the deck do not do it justice. It is quite large and the grill is in one corner. We ate just about every meal at the picnic table on the deck. The float was our go-to place during the day to launch kayaks, swim and watch incredible sunsets. Our lab loved it too. The kitchen has all your needs and everything works well. Lots of easy day trips from here. We discovered the Georges River Land Trust. Check out their website. They have a canoe trail, numerous preserves to go and walk. Of course we did lighthouses and lobster dinners on wharves. Friendship has a little store, Wallace's Market, where you can get subs, pizza and such, as well as wine, beer and supplies. Jameson Point Lobster was very good as well. Amy was easy to communicate with and the house has lots of games and a record player. We would definitely recommend. Take your camera for the sunsets and seals.

We had a wonderful time in quiet, friendly Friendship. We lived most of our two weeks here on the shady front deck, which overlooks the water. Kayaking was easy, right off the dock in front of the house. We saw seals and eagles as we explored the small islands in the cove. There were beautiful places nearby to walk and the lobster was plentiful, inexpensive and easy to get within 10 minutes of the house. Amy was responsive and easy to communicate with. There are lots of lighthouses and small towns to explore nearby. All in all it was a great vacation spot!

This property provides and extraordinary natural setting. We particularly enjoyed exploring the waters with the kayaks provided. The curious seals were a special treat and the are is rich in Wildlife. Thank You

Lovely cottage in Friendship. We arrived at night, which I wouldn't recommend, since the house is a bit hard to see and parking is a wide spot in the lane. The view is breathtaking. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Navigating the stairs up to the loft and down to the basement were hard for the older folks. There was a canoe and kayaks in the basement which was a wonderful surprise. It was so much fun taking them out in the water. Thank you for the advise on the tides! Although there are neighbors, you feel like you're the only home out on the point. Friendship is a very quaint and charming little town and you can get lobster at the end of the road. We planned excursions which meant a lot of driving. Next time I would plan just to stay put, enjoy the water and the views, and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.

Clean and family-friendly log cabin in a fantastic location with picturesque views of the coastal waters of Maine. Close enough to popular towns and harbors but far enough away to escape the crowds. Will definitely return to this house in the future.

We loved it. We loved the location, the view, the owner communication. It’s a small, welcoming cottage that is somewhat private with trees and gardens giving space between the neighboring cottages. We met several of the neighbors while out with our dog, and they were delightful. The view from the deck is wonderful. The bay is perfect for kayaking. We had seals swimming around us at sunset, and saw osprey and blue heron. It was perfect for a week with a family. There’s no a/c but plenty of windows. Lots of mosquitoes were out when we were there, so bring bug spray. Overall the week flew by. We would rent again, but next time two weeks.

We had a wonderful two weeks in Maine at Amy's place. We made use of the kayaks and enjoyed reading and playing cards on the deck. The views and sunsets are stunning. Also, the neighbors are very friendly and know the area very well. We look forward to returning in the future.

lovely cottage close to shoreline

Though we were there one of the hottest weekends Maine had, we made the best of it. My family and I went fishing, explored the shore when the tide was low, saw a seal while we were fishing from the canoe. We did some sightseeing nearby. The cabin was nice. We had lots of fun playing games every night building the family bond. Great atmosphere!! Highly recommended.

We had such a lovely time at your cottage. Our boys were out first thing in the morning until sunset playing on the shore and kayaking. We were lucky enough to see the seals too.

Amy had everything we could need for our stay in the cabin. The view from the deck is spectacular. I loved sitting out there in the morning with my coffee and watching the fog lift off the cove. It was wonderful with all the birds to watch. We could hear the harbor seals after dusk or early morning. It was probably day 5 before we actually caught a glimpse of them playing and fishing off the little island. Thank you for the use of the kayaks it was wonderful out in the cove. For those thinking of renting this cabin. I gave it 5 stars.. The cabin had everything you needed. Big lobster pot for cooking your own lobsters if you like. The property is steep and my legs got a workout. There is a wonderful spot there are a couple of chairs set up in the shade that you can just sit and watch the harbor at work. The deck is large and has ample seating and Amy provides the gas grill. The neighbors are friendly and full of helpful insights to the local area. Wallace's General store in Friendship is a great place for those last minute items you forgot. We had a great time the week we were there and wished it had been two weeks instead.
