The setting of this home and the view from it are spectacular. We made the most of the location by taking advantage of kayak rentals, LL Bean archery and skeet shooting lessons and followed the recommendations of the owners for several restaurants and attractions. We weren't disappointed. Unfortunately, our week in the beginning of September proved to be warm and humid and the house is not air conditioned, which made our time inside the home uncomfortable at times. The home came with an extremely comprehensive guest binder which eliminated any guesswork regarding appliances, supplies, activities, toys, games, videos, CDs, etc. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, so you'll want to open cabinets before going grocery shopping. The homeowners were extremely and quickly responsive to any of our questions or concerns and were also extremely pleasant to work with.

Very comfortable house with most everything we needed.. Wonderful yard. So much fun to walk out to the rocks at low tide and watch them disappear at high tide.

Beautiful views, right next to the ocean, and great veranda to enjoy the weather, rainy or sunny. Star-gazing patio has especially fantastic views! Luxurious thick towels and top quality bed linens were delightful. Nice to have an induction stove. Nice collection of CDs and DVDs , even though we did not watch the DVDs or TV. Only two comments: -The house is somewhat smaller than we expected. -It would have been good to know that the room with a queen and a twin ended up being the master bedroom. That made a big difference in planning. Overall, a fantastic week! We have stayed in many different houses rented through VRBO over the years, and this has to be the one with the most unusual collection of luxurious amenities!

We spent quality time together at this picture perfect spot. We enjoyed staying at the house and cooking in the well appointed kitchen, playing games, kayaking, hiking and exploring the area.

We had a concern, and the owner was gracious and proficient in addressing it. Overall, the place is stunning. The extensive woodwork seemed to have brought in from historic Europe. The house is very well equipped. It could use a spiffing up here and there and the owner is attending personally to the details. The listing shows a twin bed. This bed is actually a double bed air mattress on the top floor on a window ledge [very secure]. Added accuracy here would have helped us in our planning. The owner provides an extensive guide to the house, one of the best we've ever seen. He also sends a complete set of arrival instructions.

We are a multi-generational family that vacations in Maine every year (ages 16-84). Don and Vered's home in Friendship was perfect in every way. Beautiful home and spectacular location. Within a quiet neighborhood but feels like your own world. Coastal home with European flair. Easy access to the beach and short walk in the woods. Highlights included coffee and a great book on the covered patio when it rained, the stargazing patio (sun and stars), a Bald Eagle landing in our yard, the morning visits of a Blue Heron, kayaking on smooth waters, being entertained by seals, fresh lobster (out and at home), day trips to Rockland, Vinalhaven, Freeport, Acadia, and Damariscotta, grilling dinners for 11 people on the amazing grill! Communication with Don was phenomenal. Very responsive, welcoming, and helpful. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay to celebrate our parents 50th anniversary! Plenty of space for all, large table for dinner. We could even enjoy the view outside while it rained on the outdoor covered patio. The lawn was perfect for cornhole and other gamesZ we loved the stargazer patio to watch the sunset and lounge with cocktails. Easy beach access to put in kayaks and fishing from the rocks. Wonderful stay!

My family loved this house. We loved hanging out on the porch and watching the water, my kids loved playing in the tide pools, and everyone loved playing games on the back lawn. The house was large enough that everyone had their space but cozy too. It was fantastic.

We were staying in the home because of a family wedding in Friendship. The house is as advertised — charming. The best part for us was the abundant outdoor space open to a finger of the Atlantic Ocean. We spent as much time as we could outside, but when inside we could spread out on three levels. Looking forward to a return visit.

We loved our stay at Vered and Don's home in Friendship. It is a unique property inside and out. Gorgeous views. Beautiful sunsets. Antique filled home with amazing woodwork. Comfortable rooms. Well equipped kitchen. Heated floors. And incredibly detailed information about the house and the surrounding towns. Any questions we had were answered immediately. Owners were beyond responsive. Make sure to visit Damariscotta. Just 20 minutes away. And Wiscasset. And wander the coastline. You will love it there. We are already looking to return next year.

What a great house! We enjoyed walking the trails along the shore, and star gazing during our peaceful week at this beautiful home, which is exactly what we hoped for. The house has such an amazing view of the ocean and easy access to a small beach area that we walked on most days. Although the weather was not suitable for outside relaxing while we were there we did take note of the excellent outside seating areas. The craftsmanship of the house is spectacular and everything you need is there to eat-in, however, easy access to Camden and Rockland provides choices of restaurants if you would rather eat out. This home exceeded our expectations and we will long reminisce about the wonderful week we spent here

Maine in the Fall has always been on my travel bucket list. With an opportunity to travel for a college football game, I began an earnest search this summer for a quiet secluded retreat on the water. Searching within the proximity of the game site, I found this awesome home and was immediately drawn to it by its location and its architecture. WOW!!! Pictures do not do justice to either the home or the location! This place is fantastic in every way, from the outside, from the inside, from the back lawn, it was the exact Maine experience I sought: Luxury and Seclusion! The hosts have done a fantastic job with the home and the experience could not have been easier!!! Eagerly awaiting the release of next years football schedule so that we can book again!!!

We had a wonderful time! The house was a perfect size for six of us and had so much to do not only at the house, but around the area. We will definitely try to come back!

Great experience overall. House is unique in it’s decor and layout. Very quiet and peaceful. It has a lot of stairs so one member of our group with walking issues had some trouble getting around. We loved our week here!!

Our third trip to this Friendship property . It is a lovely setting, in a wonderful location for exploring all that Mid-Coast Maine has to offer (though you can’t be faulted for never leaving the views from the front lawn). Don and Vered are very responsive hosts.

The location offered spectacular views of the bay/water that could not be improved upon. The house accommodated our group of eight with ease, offering privacy when wanted but larger gathering areas for leisure and meals.

The house easily accommodated our family group of 7. We enjoyed accessing the bay via the rocky beach, and the kids had lots of room to play on the lawn. The location is great, not far from attractions in Rockland and Boothbay. The kitchen is well-stocked if a bit tight for serious cooking.

We loved the lawn to the beach; at low tide the children had fun…we rented a canoe and explored the nearby islands. Our weather was ideal!

Beautiful home that accommodated our large family of 10 ranging in age from 12- 86. Beautiful views from the jacuzzi on the top floor. Convenient, yet private area. Gorgeous front yard that the kids played endless hours of spikeball and kayaked from while the adults sat and enjoyed the view. Well stocked kitchen. Very useful and descriptive house book with details to the hoise and area. We had a great 5 day visit. And the host was very responsive before and during our stay.

Maine did not disappoint. It was beautiful. And staying at this property on the coast was lovely.

I would describe the house as exquisite. The appliances were surprisingly high end. Our group of family had wonderful time. I knew the area from previous stays which helped, but the highly detailed instructions were also well thought out. I would rent this house again for a group this size (6).

This home is just lovely with exquisite attention to detail. My husband and I brought our grown children and grandchildren back to this location, after visiting once before with my Mom and siblings. The view from all levels are spectacular! The wood through out the home makes for a warm welcoming vibe. Each bedroom has its unique features and the kitchen is fantastic! We will be back again. The house is beautiful. The views across the water are breathtaking and the Kitchen is very well equipped. The gorgeous woodwork all around the house is a very nice touch.!! We enjoyed our stay. We travel often and have stayed in many rental homes - this is our favorite of all. We have stayed here several times, and each time is just as wonderful as the last. The location on the cove - the views from almost every window are incredible - you can observe beautiful sea ducks, guillemots, bald eagles, and more. The maritime forest is calming, and breathtaking in the snow. The house is well stocked with everything you need. Beautifully furnished, and the antique Bluthner piano in perfect condition in a room with excellent acoustics is a treat to play (and one of the reasons we love this place!). Great location close to Damariscotta, Boothbay, and Rockland with several great day trips within an hour drive. We had a minor issue with an appliance, and Vered responded immediately. We look forward to returning again!
