Nothing not to dislike

Everything was fine. Fantastic host, a beautiful view. We wondered if the construction works nearby would disturb us, but they were in progress while we were out of the apartment.

Stayed at Don Pablo Apartments first week in June 2019. We arrived late after usual check in hours but we were able to arrange via email to meet our host Tomi. Tomi was very friendly and welcoming and explained how everything worked in the apartment. The apartment was very easy to find on the outskirts of the town as you arrive on the road from Alicante. There was underground parking available for 10 euros a day but we did not find it necessary as there was ample safe street parking outside the apartment. Our apartment was a 1 bedroom apartment, it was modern, immaculately clean, had everything a couple would need for a self catering holiday, and best of all had a nice sized balcony with a fantastic sea view. The huge sandy beach is only about 15 minutes walk along the promenade but there is also a small pool and astro-turfed sunbathing area if you are not a fan of the beach. There is a very good large supermarket and an excellent deli 5 minutes walk away. The apartment is in a predominantly residential area and the majority of the apartments in the block are privately owned so it is incredibly quiet at night. We loved the walk along the prom to the beach or into the restaurants and bars along the beach in the evening. Vila Joiosa old town is lovely and remains relatively untouched by commercial tourism (about as different from its near neighbour Benidorm as you can imagine). We loved our stay in Vila and would recommend the apartment and the town if you are looking for a nice quiet holiday. I imagine it gets busier later in the season but I didn't get the impression it ever becomes over crowded.
