Overall we had an enjoyable weekend, the place was clean , and the space is large enough for the family. The children enjoyed the pool and the adults took time to unwind and relaxed in a quiet environment. We look forward for another visit. Kind regards from a very happy family.

Went with the whole family, we all enjoyed it, and loved having the pool and ocean as our backyard.

The only disappointment was not getting to use the pool as it was green but probably unavoidable due to the severe weather.

We had a wonderful weeks holiday. The property included all the items we needed to keep the kids occupied and enjoy their time and allow mum and dad to relax.

We had a perfect summer holiday, the house is spacious with lots of great/thoughtful touches. Excellent for groups or families - our teenager even enjoyed it, so it must be good - right? The location is fantastic, a short stroll through gardens to get to the lakeshore, and the local "Bowlo", a corner store, butcher and a bakery are only a 7min walk away. The pool was fantastic, we spent every day in it! The house is excellent for pets, as its fully fenced, and the owners have thoughtfully provided some doggy necessities in case you forget... The only caution I would suggest is for those with guests who may be elderly (parents/grandparents), or mobility limited - as the main lounge is upstairs (where the Air-Con & big TV are), but Kitchen and most bedrooms+bath are downstairs. We had an amazing week long holiday there, and we honestly didn't want to leave! We will return next Summer for sure...!

This was an amazing house for a family holiday in a spectacular location by the water. The house was fantastic and very clean and also had very comfortable beds. This house had absolutely everything we needed for our family holiday and our kids had the best time, we would recommend staying at this property to families of all ages who love the water and ocean. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in this amazing house in an even better location.

We had a relaxing time at The Place, making the most of the pool in particular. It was just what we needed, a real sanctuary of peace and quiet.

The house located on the Lake Macquarie great to take the kids fishing & walks. House was also great with plenty of things to keep the little ones entertained & such a short drive to caves beach! We loved the pool & the host was excellent in responding to any enquires. Thank you so much!

This is a wonderful property so unwind and relax at. We did not leave at all during our 4 day stay, we simply enjoyed the pool, the AC upstairs, watched the cricket and played games. The Place has everything you need and we had a great time. Highly recommend!

Lovely house with multiple living areas Beautiful pool- short walk to the lake with gorgeous walks around perimeter. Quick drives to Woolworths The house is well stocked and has toys books dvds and a wonderful arcade machine. Boys enjoyed the canoes as well as hubby. Very relaxing and can’t wait to go again

We were looking for a house not too far from home and that could accommodate all the family and THE PLACE fitted our criteria. The living area upstairs was especially nice with a lovely deck overlooking the tropical surrounds and the pool area. Beds were comfortable and kitchen very well stocked with everything you would need. Highly recommend for a family getaway.

Beautiful property. House is as listed, with the living areas both upstairs and downstairs which is perfect for the group we had which included a family with children. Great outdoor areas, lots of space to spread out. Close walk to the local shops, and very short walk out the back to Lake Macquarie and a beautifully worn in lakeside path. Even when the temp wasn’t that high, the weather was mild and lovely. The gardens are also stunning and make us really feel like we were quite far from home. Thanks very much for having us!

Amazing place for the family, clean, beautiful location and lots of fun little activities around the house. Only 2 min walk to the lake which you can see from upstairs. Family friendly and plenty of room!

"The Place" was terrific with lots of great options / zones in the house to keep everyone happy and entertained! Beautiful views and access to the lake for walks and fresh air! We'll be back in spring / summer to enjoy the pool etc.

We had a great stay, house was good for kids and dogs. We loved the upstairs living room for the adults. Location is beautiful, there is a really lovely nature reserve behind the house and you can easily walk along to the lake.

We stayed just over a week and it was no where near enough. Our stay at the place was lovely, we could not fault it. The activities and things provided were very thoughtful and all put to use. It is central to a lot of destinations but also secluded enough to feel the peace and calmness of being away. We frequented fishing at the lake and it was a hit with my 6 y.o as she was able to catch and release plenty of fish. We will definitely be coming back again. No doubt about it. We had a lovely time at this property, the views were beautiful and the home was spacious.

There was enough room for two families, and the games/entertainment for the kids were appreciated. Backyard access to the lake was great.

The jetty a short 5 min walk behind house was a bonus as kids were able to catch and release the fish. Kitchen was well stocked. Living place was massive and easily accommodated 2 families. Internet dropped in and out but not too bothered as was outdoors mostly. Plumbing sounds at night could be heard each time the toilet flushed so if your a light sleeper could be a small issue. Bbq could do with a better clean.Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and we definitely recommend this place to stay.
