It's really convenient being only about a block and a half from the metro, with a few restaurants around as well. Relatively quiet area with lots of people walking their dogs everyday. Inside the furniture is in good condition and comfortable, clean, and really well stocked with amenities such as coffee, tea, soap, toiletries, towels, pillows, blankets and such. Washer and dryer are a big win too, pack fewer clothes! There's a full kitchen with everything you need to cook if you want to. It really worked great for what we needed!

We loved all the extras in the apartment…coffee and other kitchen essentials, shower products, lotions around the space, ponchos, comfy sleeping options, and more! Plus, the location was amazing…very quick walk to the metro which we used every day, close to eating options - loved the Roost eating venue. Daryl was so friendly and helpful - would highly recommend this space!

The relative proximity to the metro station is ideal if one plans on visiting the local tourist sites. The kitchen had utensils, cooking ware and everything needed if planning to cook. The laundry/dryer worked. I came with 2 teenagers; one slept on the sleeper sofa, the other slept on an available cot.

The apartment was clean, spacious and conveniently located near the metro, grocery store and restaurants. Daryl was an excellent host; highly responsive, accommodating and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed at this location for two nights. It was very clean and nicely maintained. It looks as if it was recently renovated. The kitchen was very well stocked with the basics (coffee, filters, dishes, etc). There were plenty of extra linens and blankets, etc. It was located comfortably close to the major DC attractions and two Metro stations. The owners were very easy to work with and seemed like very nice people.

This apartment is perfectly located, exceptionally decorate, spotless, and equipped with everything one could ask for and more. Daryl communicated clearly and was very helpful with recommendations for the area. I will be back!

This apartment was comfortable, clean and well-stocked. Not just the kitchen, but also plenty of pillows, towels and anything else you might need. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe, and just a few metro stops from everything we wanted to see. The owners were great-- friendly, helpful, very quick to respond to any questions or requests that we had. A great place to stay overall.

This VRBO Capital Hill property was perfect location. The Metro is an easy 2 blocks away and within 15 minutes you’re walking around the Mall and the Smithsonian Museums. Our host Daryl was great and available for any questions we had. We felt at home at their place and would highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was great: convenient to mass transit, clean and well kept, friendly hosts who provided lots of info and amenities.

Location is just the beginning of this wonderful property! It is so convenient to the Metro, grocery stores and restaurants. We were in the Washington DC area for almost a week and wanted a home base that would allow us to have a kitchen and living area. This property has that and so much more! This was one of the best stocked properties we’ve stayed in. The kitchen not only has all the kitchen necessities but also well stocked food staples for cooking. I’d really have to work hard to suggest any changes and we will definitely stay here again!!

Overall, a very pleasant stay with one drawback for you light-sleepers out there. Great: immaculately clean, quiet street, easy parking, close to a very nice Safeway grocery, right around the block from a Metro station (takes you to the National Mall in less than 10 minutes), and The Roost (a shared-restaurant building with a variety of cuisines). Has all the amenities and comforts you could wish for. Owner has placed a helpful binder with lots of info, including easy check-out procedure. Drawback: the bedroom seems to be located directly under the owner's kitchen, so there's quite a bit of noise generated around 7 in the morning. Doesn't last forever and some amount of noise is to be expected between floors in a townhouse but, as I am a light-sleeper, it jolted me awake two days running. Not a big enough deal to complain to the owner about and most people probably sleep through it but if you're a light-sleeper like me please be aware of it. Otherwise, it is very quiet during the night and I had NO problem getting enough sleep.

This home is fabulous. Like the many reviews before, it was VERY clean, kitchen/towels is well stocked and the main bedroom bed is super comfortable. The area itself is walkable to the train station, restaurants and eateries. Daryl was super helpful in welcoming emails and super friendly in person and in texts. Thank you Daryl, we hope to come back soon!

Host was extremely helpful providing an email with many local restaurants, shops, and things to do. Host also received my Safeway grocery delivery, put in the unit and put cold items in refrigerator, super ! !

Nice place and Easy access, 10-15 minutes Uber ride to every place you wanted to visit. Owner (Darryl) was very helpful and available. We had a very friendly city cat visiting us as well!

The property was great, no problems at all and Darrell and Daphne were great host. You can tell this is a neighborhood in transition, but we had no real issues and I suspect every year it will get a little more settled.

Myself, my husband and our two teen daughters stayed at this rental for 7 nights last week. Our overall review is that it is ever better than it looks online. The location was great for getting to the Metro every morning (Potomac Ave station about a 5 minute walk). There's also a nice Safeway grocery store a bit farther from there that was good for stocking the kitchen. The unit is spacious and was perfect for 4. It was nice to have a bedroom for the adults and then in addition to the pullout couch there was also a cot for our youngest, which was a nice surprise for the girls to not need to share. It was also super nice to have the laundry right on site and we came home with nearly all of our clothes clean which is great today as we unpack. Daryl is a great and very responsive host. He checked in on us periodically to see if we had questions or needed anything. The location felt very safe. The street of row houses was adorable. Check in and out were very simple and as expected. The unit was very clean and well stocked. If we're fortunate enough to return to DC we would definitely return to this rental.

Perfect location for our week long journey all around Washington, D.C. Apartment is within a few short blocks to the metro which got us everywhere! Friendly homeowners gave us lots of helpful tips and info. Place was clean and perfect for our family of 3.

Rented this apartment for spring break with my kiddos (ages 14 and 8). We all loved it and my kids are talking about returning and renting from Mr Daryl again. Communication and check in was extremely easy. We drove from IN so we took advantage of the parking pass. Mr Daryl even let us grab the pass early so we didn’t have to drive to the Capitol for our tour. We used both the metro and Uber when we didn’t drive places. The location/neighborhood is super convenient! You walk to the end of the block and can see the Capitol. Harris Teeter grocery is a mile away and we ate as some of the restaurants close by. The metro station is an easy 5 minute walk from the apartment with 3 lines running. The apartment was clean and well stocked for us to make breakfast daily. Mr Daryl was so nice and even had a small supply of items you might need that you forgot (loved the spray and wash)! We use VRBO often and the friendliness and communication from Mr Daryl is super easy and not to mention how helpful and kind he is! When back in DC will definitely plan to stay again!
