Good location is quiet in terms of being far from a highway or a busy street. Green. Nice patio.

The historical building pictured on the home page of this hotel belongs to the property but do not put your hopes up - no entry inside - it is used as an event location and not a hotel. If you are not a part of an event (e.g., a wedding, some sort of a meeting, or an anniversary), you can only admire it from the outside. The hotel restaurant is located in that nice building - unfortunately, in the basement. I asked for and received formal confirmation for getting a quiet room. Unfortunately, I got a room next to a so-called "family room" in which stayed a young couple with small kids. The rooms have hardwood floors, and the kids were playing from early morning, so the hotel's promises were not kept. The second thing was the unfriendly personnel in the hotel restaurant. After I asked for a table, saying that I was a hotel guest, I was told, "That's what everyone says. We have no place for you", I turned away and walked one mile to a restaurant in the city. I heard the restaurant staff screaming after me, "Wait, perhaps we find something," but I was no longer interested. The friendly welcome stopped my hunger.

Hotel is next to the Breitenfeld Schloss, nice area and quite. The staff was super friendly, welcoming. The rooms are nicely decorated, not too big but enough for the purpose. Breakfast was good and the wifi is stable and fast enough to work from there. They have free, secure parking at their premises.

It's a bit far away from downtown Leipzig so it's a bit of a drive if you need to go there. The room was a bit warm to my taste in the night and no airco was present, but the good old open window helped :).

Overall it was good, but I was expecting something more. The hotel has an old neoclassical building (the castle) on its side, where supposedly is the restaurant. However, the castle was booked for a wedding and guests couldn't visit the restaurant and the garden (which are the highlights of the place)

The hotel could practice a more transparent policy when their main attraction are occupied by events. For instance, both the castle and the garden (the real charm of staying in a Schloss) was not available for guests.

Staff was friendly and accommodating, room facilities and refurbishment was nice. Nice bar. Area was lovely and parking good. Very clean.

Terrible pillows. Too warm. Room next door had tv on constantly and it was audible eventhough it was not loud. People and doors closing could be heard clearly from the room. Water and used glass/shower gel not replaced after use on first day eventhough I stayed there 4 nights. Restaurant menu choice was minimal and unfortunately not catered for my allergens.
