Overall, this house was amazing. Best features are definitely the indoor poor and the elevator. Our group age range was 1yr to 68 yrs old. Plenty of space for all and the beach was not crowded (another plus) Small issues noted outdoor shower pipe was not connected, hot tub not working properly, ceiling leak on 3rd floor after heavy rain, and 3rd floor refrigerator stopped working. Beach access further away then expected for my mom, but we were able to drop her off and walk back up. Property Manager was easy to reach and she already set up for roof and hot tub repairs. We would definitely stay again!!!

This property was perfect for housing both sides of our family for my son’s wedding weekend! The kitchen was well stocked and the upstairs living room / kitchen / dining room was perfect for the meals we were able to enjoy together. The host was very attentive and responded quickly the one time I needed them. The pool and the elevator were wonderful!

The house was perfect for all of us to stay at. rooms were spacious & clean. plenty of fridges and stoves to use. close enough to VA beach boardwalk, NOT walkable, beach was close & clean, not many lifeguards, but nice and not busy busy like VA Beach. Bring own beach chairs, I personally didn't like those ones. but towels are there, must wash , but no big deal. this is in a very nice neighborhood, could ride bicycles. Grocery store was close only 3.4 miles away. I would rent here again for sure. has indoor pool, kids liked it. hot tub. NO outdoor pool. most kitchen utensils and appliances are there. there was an elevator, which was great for elders and bringing up luggage, groceries. bedrooms are mostly on 2nd floor, 2 on 3rd floor, 1 on bottom.

Great house and location for a family gathering.

There is plenty of space to separate out. The teens went downstairs and played pool and chess. Most of the adults hung out on the upper level, people found quiet space in the middle level. The pool was a great distraction when it rained. Lots of refrigerator space and ovens. Owner/property manager quick with replies.

We had a great time at this vacation house. The location was perfect right across the bridge from VA beach near Croatian beach in a quiet neighborhood. The master suites were perfect for our friends and family and we had plenty of space across the 3 levels. The rooms were the perfect size and it was awesome to have an indoor pool for the kids.

We have stayed at this house several times now while in town for training. It works out well for all of us to have a place to hang out and rest up for the week. Great location. Plenty of space

My extended family and I (13 adults and 9 children) had a wonderful stay at the Crow's Nest. It was spacious and cozy at the same time. The home, especially the kitchen, is nicely stocked. There are ample supplies (beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, and wagon) for enjoying the beach. The property manager was attentive and responsive to issues early in the week. The rest of the week went smoothly. All in all, we had a fun, pleasant, and enjoyable stay! We highly recommend this property.

The house was spacious. The indoor pool was a great asset. The rooftop deck was great and holds a lot of people. plenty for the teens to do in the house air hockey, games, pool table, etc. we would definitely book it again. It would be great if there was one more grill. The kitchen was well equipped with silverware, pots and pans, dishes, etc..

We thank you for hosting our family this past week! The was exactly as described and had every amenity we could have wanted. There were no issues whatsoever and we even had beautiful new beach chairs waiting for us! The house was spotless, the linens were fresh and everything was at our disposal. Plenty of kitchen utensils, the gas tank on the grill was full and our host was exceptional! We would highly recommend this property!

The house was exactly as it was described. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our family, and we had 25 people in our group. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and semi-private beach. Just a very nice week.

This is a beautiful home in a safe community

I doubt if there's enough room, but: Major items- Pool was advertised as heated. We were then told (after we arrived) that this was a mistake. However, pool was in fact supposed to be heated, and a heater wad attached and had a working pilot light, but was simply broken. Pool man confirmed that it could have been fixed with a minor outlay (less than a $50 part) but this had not been done. So, we were either given incorrect information deliberately, or the management did not even know that a pool heater was attached and semi-functioning. Hpt Tub - Heated, but little to no jet action - pool man said it was full of sand and would have to be drained to fix it. Elevator - worked, after a fashion, but was scary. Cage was patched with 4 different kinds of tape (Scotch, painters masking, standard duct and reflective duct) which certainly didn't inspire confidence. Appliaces - dismal. The only fully functioning fridge, the main one on the top floor, had to be reset by us and made no ice until the third day. The other fridge on that floor made no ice at all and would not even stay cold. The main dishwasher did a poor job of washing even light loads and would not dry dishes at all. One of the clothes dryers (which was functioning quite well) was replaced while we were there with a "new" one which did not function as well. Lighting - a full fourth of the lights in the house were blown. We replaced all in the common areas - still some out in the bedrooms. More issues, but out of room.

Could use a little updating but overall great place!

It was very convenient having 10 bedrooms in one house. It was also very convenient having ian equal number of bathrooms though not all bedrooms have their own bathroom, but it was very manageable. It was a convenient alternative to multiple rooms at a hotel.

This property was awesome and met all our needs. We had such a great time! It is big enough to have a great time together but also provides personal space if wanted. This property has room for everyone and is equipped with everything you need for kids 2 to 99! It is in walking distance to the beach and the board walk. The Aquarium is an 8 minute away. I will recommend this property 10 times over!

Overall, the property is nice but very dated and is need of some TLC and a deep clean. The child gate on 3rd floor was not attached to wall. Dishes and pans are in need of being sorted out, cleaned and reorganised. One bedroom window on 2nd level was broken and allowed cold air to come in at all hours. Refrigerator, dishwasher and stove in main kitchen need to be serviced. As other reviews have stated, we too had ants on the 3rd floor. The garden in the back of the home has been neglected and needs to be cleaned up. Owner has been made aware of all this issues and hopefully by now these items have been resolved.

Good house with pool, large dining area, plenty of bedrooms, close to beach. Great for family reunions with 30 people. Property was as described and check in process was easy. House was clean. Only feedback I would have for the property manager would be to invest in the property to make it look more modern such as the furniture and technology amenities.

The house was in a beautiful location! You could see the ocean at some points in the house which was fun. Very large and all the bathrooms were a huge plus. We had two elderly people with us so the elevator was great. The negatives were we had ants and on the 3rd floor. We could not even leave closed up food such as bread on the counter. You can imagine with a group of 20 people, it is hard not to need to use the counter to store food. Also, the sink disposal was backed up. We were only there 3 nights and did contact the emergency contact when we arrived but they never came to resolve the issues. Also, all bathrooms did not even have one roll of toiled paper on the holder. I understand that we would need to buy extra toiled paper but I did expect to have a roll to start with. Because we were there for my son's wedding and it was a family gathering, we totally enjoyed our time. The space is very large and allowed for all of us to sleep and gather comfortably. The long table allowed for us to enjoy a family game which was so fun. For the price we paid, I would have hoped we would not have had to contend with the ants, and the other things I mentioned. Thus, I am rating this a very average overall rating.

Although the event we were traveling for was canceled due to bad weather we still had a good time

The house was nice overall. It’s nice to have amenities onsite if you don’t want to go out. There are some improvements needed to the house. The power went out on the third floor so we had to keep trying to find outlets to use. This caused us to lose one refrigerator for use. The kitchen area on the ground floor is outdated and we didn’t want to cook on that stove. The fridge, however was nice and functional. The master bedroom was very nice as well as the other bedrooms. The washer and dryer were functional. The kitchen cabinets were a bit confusing because there is no organization. Things are just thrown in any cabinet. It would be beneficial to have some go through and organize the cabinets. Overall the layout of the house is nice. With some upgrades to the place, it would be a very good stay.

My Family & I enjoyed every inch of this place especially the kitchen/dining area ... so much laughter & great eating ... my family has the BEST Southern-style cooks & to have all five of us in one house was a great treat ... the rooftop was awesome during sunset & that great breeze coming off the ocean AWESOME!! The neighbors were so welcoming & kind, they gave us suggestions to where we could find great eateries & entertainment... during our morning walk on the beach or even around the blocks we met property caretakers that were super friendly & engaged kind conversations... we truly felt at home! We had minor leaks in bathrooms & called the property management office & they were on top of it .. once they fix the bathrooms, he asked if they were anything else, that was such a beautiful gesture. We were truly blessed to experience the true essence of peace, serenity, happiness, & FUN all in one vacation, one house! THANK GOD FOR ATKINSON REALTY! Thank you for sharing your home! The home itself is in a great location with availability to the beach. There were several issues: sand in pool/hot tub, AC didn't work on second floor, furnace filters were completely clogged and filthy, ramp to hot tub is rotting and needs replaced, we had 25 people there and they only left us 15 bath towels, ceiling fan didn't work in a bedroom that also had no AC, pool table felt was ripped, dishes in the kitchen were greasy and we had to wash everything before we could use it, there was trash and a flip flop left under one of the beds. It rained 2 days while we were there and the area between the house and the support wall for the hot tub area had 2" of standing water. I could go on, but I believe this to be sufficient. The real estate agency that is now taking care of this property was very good about sending people out to address some of the issues. However, I feel like these are things that should have been addressed before anyone rented the property. It definitely needs some basic maintenance and TLC.

Our family group of 13 really enjoyed this house. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so that we could spread out. We loved the large table in the dining area that was so nice for meals as well as playing games and doing crafts. We enjoyed the proximity to groceries and restaurants but also liked the virtually private beach shared only by a small community of homes. The indoor pool was great and of course the beach was a hit! We definitely plan to come again!

Perfect distance to the beach. Not far from the boardwalk. The house is well equipped for rainy days inside. All the rooms are equipped with televisions. The 2nd floor has books, and couches for private time. One of the best features is the rooftop deck. Watching the sunrise from there was a treat. The kitchen on the 3rd floor is fully euipped with appliances and everything one needs to entertain or have nice famy meals. My family and I really enjoyed our time here.

We were a family of 3 generations. Let me start with everyone’s favorite place. The rooftop. Fabulous! More time was spent there than anywhere. To meet each other, read, think, photograph. A real treasure! We loved the décor. One daughter called it “nicely kitsch”. One daughter stayed up late one night rearranging the kitchen drawers. Obviously some renters just shoved anything anyplace they could find. There were things like broken spatulas etc which she eliminated. The red showers are eye catching and fun but could use mats as an option. Extremely slippery as one 74 and 2 27 year olds found out on the first shower. Oh yes, again on the plus side, pool, pool table and ping pong were huge sellers. Our “millennials” truly enjoyed them. Oh yes, some of the games are unplayable because of missing pieces. This is a lovely rental place that with a little care could be superb. Christina was wonderful when we had an issue. I would be more than happy to talk with her with a more detailed “laundry list” of things that could be fixed easily to make it that way. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!
