Zeer mooie kamer met uitgebreide badkamer. Terras. Prima ontbijt. Goede wifi. Rooftop zwembad en terras met buitengewoon uitzicht.

We enjoyed the location and beautiful rooftop! We were able to connect to the Bluetooth speaker and play some music while we enjoyed the view in the morning. The breakfast was simple, delicious, and someone offered to make us eggs which was so nice.

Heads up that the drinks in the mini fridge are not complimentary. I should have known but I figured the person before me left them there. Also, it wasn’t a problem for us, but if you have knee problems - there are a lot of stairs to get to the pool. But the stairs are 1000% worth it!

Hotel Boutique de una arquitectura hermosa, detalles en todas sus salas, habitaciones, baños, terrazas etc. un lugar muy agradable a la vista y muy cómodo. El equipo que trabaja en el hotel es increíble de una hospitalidad fantástica que hace que tengas una excelente estancia.

El Hotel cumple con todo lo necesario para tener una estancia increíble.hay un detalle que al ser un hotel boutique no cuenta con ascensor lo que a algunas personas les puede parecer mal. pero en general todo es muy caminable, esta cercano a varios restaurantes cercano a la playa farmacias y todo lo que requieras.

Do quarto, da cobertura e de alguns funcionários.

O Hotel fica num morro, para descer e principalmente subir, muito difícil. Ao chegar ao Hotel, vc ainda precisa subir algumas escadas bem ingrimes. O Funk as sextas-feiras, em uma das comunidades parece que está sendo dentro do quarto e só acaba as 08 horas da manhã. O Hotel alugou a área da piscina no sábado p uma festa com o som ao máximo até às 20 horas. Ou seja, não dormimos sexta a noite e nem descansamos no sábado. Por um problema na bomba de água, ficamos sem tomar banho sexta-feira a noite e sábado pela manhã. Enfim, não recomendo. A menos que vc não se importe com sossego.

A vista é muito boa la da área da piscina.

A localização não é boa. Fica na entrada de uma comunidade em uma rua deserta e vazia. Tem que subir um morro de cerca de 400m para se chegar na entrada do hotel. E tem muita escada para se chegar na recpção. LOcal ermo!

Em especial o atendimento do David, nos fez sentir em casa. Gabriel também, ótimo atendimento. O quarto muito agradável, cama confortável e ótimo chuveiro. Rooftop com piscina que é uma delicia. A localização é boa, próximo em termos de praia, restaurantes e metrô.

O café da manhã era sempre as mesmas opções todos os dias, pouca variedade de suco, frios e frutas.

El Hotel tiene unas áreas verdes muy bonitas, nos topamos con trabajadores muy amables David un buen anfitrión estamos muy agradecidos de ellos. Si teníamos dudas nos ayudaban a resolver o especificar que nos convenía. El desayuno está bien.

Teníamos una distancia del lugar a la playa, de igual forma nos sirvió mucho caminar la subida al hotel, primero día de ingreso problemas de agua y último problemas de agua caliente (este último fue resuelto por David, muy agradecidos). Nos falto toparnos con la barman no lo logramos jaja

Petit hôtel intimiste qui fait la part belle au film « l’homme de Rio » avec Belmondo en 1964. Nous avons été subjugués par la vue depuis la piscine panoramique. Le petit déjeuner est totalement local et c’est ce qu’on attendant !

Lovely staff, brilliant location, beautiful gardens

L'Homme de Rio feels like a B&B in many ways, and the staff truly makes the place. David and Lorena were wonderful in helping me navigate my first trip to Rio with recommendations on where to go to the beach, eat, and tours. Every night Lindoberg made hot water so I could have evening tea (the rooms don't have a kettle). The view from the balcony is everything! I miss waking up to it already.

As others have mentioned, it's a bit of a steep climb up St. Roman to get to the hotel, followed by quite a bit of stairs to get to the lobby, then more to the rooms. This was great for helping burn the extra calories, but would be hard for those with mobility challenges. Room could use a fresh coat of paint and a coffee pot or kettle as well.

Friendly, polite staff and interior decor of the hotel is beautiful and nicely designed. The staff decorated the room for our honeymoon. The location of the hotel is ideal and in close proximity to lots of restaurants and the beach. Taxis readily available via Uber.

First bedroom had bed bugs in the bed, we were changed rooms immediately and verbal apologies were given at the time of discovery. However no further discussion or offering of discounted stay or complimentary gesture was given. Breakfast was average compared to other places, and varied day to day. We were told the bar by the pool would be open, between 12.00 and 19.00, but when we up there on 3 different occasions it wasn’t manned and no one came up to check. So we were unable to enjoy time on the rooftop.

small, smart and very pretty hotel. All the persons at the desk and kitchen are friendly and really take care of their hosts. Nice breakfast. The view from the rooftop and swimming pool is beautiful. Even the surroundings of the hotel is unusual and pleasant, less than 10 minutes walk from Ipanema beach. For sure this hotel will be my choice next time I travel to Rio. a quant place with lot of character. the stay at this place was wonderful. The host was available during the stay. The pool side area is beautiful and gives amazing view of the oceans , Copacabama nd Ipemena beach. There is a favela close to the resort. At timers music play there whole night. The place has been very artistically decorated . The breakfast menu was simple yet accomplishing. The chef made me some sandwiches for the way as I was to go early to the airport. Overall a nice experience. For tourists not speaking Portuguese, may have some communication issues.

Amazing stay at the L'Homme de Rio. Gabriel & Sandra were so accomodating and did everything in their power to make my 28th birthday special and one-of-a-kind. I cannot wait to go back and visit them! <3

The staff was very friendly and always willing to help. Thank you Gabriel! Also many thanks to the lady, preparing the buffet for the breakfast which was great, with many options. Everyday there was different natural juice! Superb view from the pool at the terrace!

Everything was great and in walkable distance, however the last 5-7 minutes to arrive at the hotel is uphill.

Gabriel the front desk manager and Sandra the manager of housekeeping have been incredible. We arrived on my 28th birthday and they made my day very special. Wonderful people with beautiful smiles and incredible service.

Loved the views, space and roof terrace

Despite what people say about the "favela" nearby, this hotel is in an incredible location! We walked through the streets around the hotel after 9pm and never felt unsafe. Room was incredible (Room 6) and tastefully furnished. The shower is huge and has a glass panel to overlook the bed and balcony, if you wish. The courtyard is beautiful and feels private. If you're lucky, you'll catch a view of some of the local monkeys climbing around the trees. We'll definitely be going back.
