Beautiful property in a fantastic location. Our family loved the stay.

We absolutely loved staying in this property. The views were stunning and we loved having the windows open and hearing the waves all night. The property could use some updating as others have mentioned but you cannot beat this location for the price. We would love to come stay here again with our family.

I loved it! First night a dolphin swam in front of the property! Bioluminescent waves every night! We enjoyed a fire next to the crashing waves. Loved going to sleep with the crashing of waves. Perfect location for adventuring the coast. Will definitely come back!

Overall very nice accommodation, the view is spectacular! Getting into the water is challenging at times. A tip to those staying Would be to check the tide charts so you can plan to get in around lower tides.

The property itself could use some more upgrades. (Kitchen and bathrooms are dated. The bedding in both bedrooms was worn and dated). But, aside from that I couldn’t imagine a better location. As soon as you step through the from door you are greeted with an overwhelmingly beautiful unobstructed view of the ocean at your back door. Cheryl was great with communication. We would absolutely recommend and hope to return!

This property has a beautiful view. Sleeping and waking to the sound of the ocean was so restful. Based on the photos, I thought there would be a sandy beach area leading into the ocean directly in front of the this property. However, even at the lowest tide there were only rocks. So we ended up driving to a beach with better access for the kids. Maybe it was the time of year? End of June. But, our goal was for the kids to have access to the ocean at the property. So that was disappointing.

Stayed at this property for a week with my family. The location is wonderful! Oceanfront and a short walk to the downtown area. The property manager was really easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Cheryl's property was welcoming and beautiful, my family and I enjoyed such the tranquility and the comfort of the home... will visit again soon. Cheryl was very attentive when messaging her and her home was very hospitable... cant wait to go back!!

My wife and I stayed for our anniversary. Simply amazing view very nice kitchen if there was any complaints only one would be the outside grill didn’t work but I don’t think it was listed in the amenities anyway overall amazing stay

We stayed here when my husband raced in the ironman. We loved sitting by the windows and relaxing in the amazing chairs when we weren't outside running around after husbands in the race. This was a fantastic, convenient place to stay. Super easy check-in and everything organized to a T. We enjoyed the huge king sized bed in the first bedroom. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for a week and had a variety of weather. The views were fantastic the entire time. We saw a pod of dolphins, sea lions, pelicans and several other birds. Sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. Appreciate the owner allows dogs. The balcony was safe for ours to lounge on and watch all the action. Location was convenient to all the great restaurants and bars in Oceanside. We hope to be back!

Can't beat the view and sound of the ocean. A perfect spot!

We might have been the first folks to use the house this spring. So there were a few kinks being worked out. The lack of hot water and heat the first day were not great. Also the TV in the master is not connected to Hulu so local cannels could not be watched there. We also had to buy batteries for the remotes in the bedroom to get them to work. But all pales in comparison to Location, Location, Location. That and the chairs. Thank you Richard Sielman

I rented this beach house for 3 weeks to be on the beach with my 2 dogs and just relax. I had read the reviews and saw many comments about the property being outdated, but that didn't bother me. The beds were comfortable and the round chairs were amazing, however, the couch hide-a-bed needs to be replaced and the kitchen chairs were ripped up. Kitchen is full of amenities, but as previous folks have mentioned, it needs some updating. The fridge is rusted in areas and leaks with condensation. It seems like the homeowner is definitely updating things ; just needs more. The beach location is perfect; having the private backyard was wonderful and we totally enjoyed the firepit and getting to meet our downstairs and next door neighbors. We saw dolphins on many occasions, surfers, military ships, and a whale! We couldn't figure out how to use the big telescope. Location is walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops, the pier and a movie theater. Now for the SAFETY issues. An hour after I got there, I sat on the balcony with my 2 dogs and watched the people on the beach. Not sure how it happened but my dog walked off the balcony and somersaulted into the sand. My dog is not small so the fact that he fit through the opening was very surprising and scary. I immediately contacted the property manager Cheryl. The fall resulted in a disclocated hip, a 5 hour trip to an emergency vet where they popped the hip in place and gave a 50% chance that it would stay. Two days later it popped back out and required Toggle-Pin Surgery to keep the hip in place. Cost of over $10,000!. Currently in talks with the homeowner to get this claim resolved. Second SAFETY issue...one night, my sister was sitting in one of those round chairs when a huge piece of the wall-mirror just came off and nearly hit her in the head. We were both very shook and couldn't help thinking 'What if the mirror had fallen a few inches farther'. It was quite traumatizing. I texted pics to the property manager and they had maintenance over the next morning to clean up the glass and reinforce the rest of the mirrors. Property manager offered to move me to another property OFF the beach, but I declined. After that, there were no more issues. Not once did the homeowner contact me to apologize for the issues. Only when I wanted to submit a homeowner's claim, did I speak to him. Hopefully, he will do the RIGHT thing!

Great stay. View is amazing and place is comfortable. Had a great time.

The main thing this unit has going for it is the location. Truly spectacular views and right near the heart of Oceanside, plus a private little beach with a fire pit. However the unit is quite dilapidated and not worth the over $1000 per night one ends up paying with fees and taxes. Interior paint is old and in need of refreshing, most furniture is old and broken down (examples: dining chairs have huge holes covered by cushions, master bed is squishy on one side, living room wall mirror is cracked). Water pressure is weak and it takes nearly 10 minutes to get hot water running in the kitchen sink. One bathroom badly needs remodeling, and all the windows need replacing as well. Two of the burners on the stove don’t work, one is tangled and won’t plug in. If you’re looking for something nice, this isn’t it.

Can't beat this location. You are right there on the beach! Outdated and could use some upgrades....but what you'd expect when at the ocean. Most of our time spent outside anyhow. Just get the owner to spend a few bucks and do some 'fixing'.

The location was perfect and was a nice getaway with our adult children.

The views from the deck, living room windows and fire pit are spectacular! It was so nice being right on the water and not having a busy street between us and the ocean. The condo was nice and well equipped. Having a driveway and garage for parking was a huge convenience! We didn't want to hassle with a rental where we had to find parking on a street for our van. There's a great coffee shop just down the street, a short walk, and having a Rite-Aid within walking distance was really convenient. We liked that we were so close to Carlsbad, since we spent most of our time there. We would definitely stay again.

Four adults arrived and were all immediately disappointed in the state of the unit. The online pictures did not honestly depict the dirty fridge, the rusted top of the fridge, the paint peeling outdoor chairs, the rusted nonfunctioning A/C heating unit intake, the fabric torn and worn chairs, the majorly cracked large living room mirror and more. you can do better elsewhere.

We enjoyed the view, the private beach, the balcony and easy access to the house. Wish balcony had an umbrella. It’s a great place lots of great spaces and happy memories.

property manager was very responsive and communicated with us about any issues. also the view of the ocean was as described and very beautiful. however, the place was a bit run down and the screen door to the balcony came off several times. also, there was very loud construction happening next door that woke us up very early in the morning on our last two days. this was not disclosed prior to booking. the neighborhood is a bit on the shabbier end and we had the unfortunate experience of a homeless man camping out under the stairs of the property who we had to call the police on. we paid a lot of money to stay here and it’s unfortunate that these events ruined the stay.

We stayed at this location because the pictures that were posted just took my breath away the location was accurate and it's a great view but what we did not like was that the furniture needs to be replaced already it's to old looking worn out the sofa had pet hair all over must not have been cleaned in a long time the main bedroom bed is old bed is sinking in bedding is old dose not have ac it's was hot inside while the sun was out it did cool off at night because of the sea breeze. The only thing that made my stay there good was the location. Please property owners make sure you do a better job since this is your business your chagrin good money for renters so take the time to make our stay at your location the best that it can be I have photos of all the things that were or need to be up graded I hope you make the much needed changes furniture renters make sure you ask if they make better changes before you spend your hard earned money on something that they don't care about they only care about taking our money 😞😞

The views are amazing.

Great communication, this rental had everything we could have wanted. The view is worth the expense and it was wonderful to fall asleep to the crashing of waves.

Some problems as property is dated. But who cares when the Pacific Ocean is just steps away. The continuous sounds of the waves, watching dolphins and surfers, The proximity to fishing pier and harbor. We had an excellent stay.

My family had a wonderful extended weekend getaway at this perfect beach house! The house was very comfortable with a very well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the firepit and beach area, and especially the gorgeous sunsets! Great time was had by all.

The location and view is great. The property owners both wife and husband were very responsive, and helped correct the situation. Which made our stay pleasant and enjoyable. Overall the stay was enjoyable, we had good time in the private beach, and loved great views from living room and kitchen. Only con: property needs to be upgraded to justify the cost.
