We had an absolutely perfect stay at the cottage on the river. Kathy was an exceptional host - very communicative and a pleasure to work with. We stayed here during our wedding weekend and could not speak more highly of how beautiful and well thought out the entire home is. A truly special spot in Washington!

The "Cottage" is the nicest vacation home we have stayed in. It is like staying at a country Inn or a good friend's home. It is beautifully appointed with period antiques, really comfy beds and linens and the most amazing kitchen outfitted with every appliance/cooking tool you could need. EVERYTHING from the linens to the dishes to the drapes to the wallpaper are top of the line and hand made quilts!! Towel warmers and turkish towel robes, heated bathroom floors, a piano! and the list goes on. The views of the rushing river were amazing from just about every window. We spent most of our time in front of the fireplace but had it been warmer the patio and river front yard is where we would have been. We saw a Great Blue Heron looking for breakfast on our last morning! This home will not disappoint, it is clean and comfortable and Kathy the host is a pleasure to work with. We have rented many homes and this one stands out as quite special. We were the first to stay at the house and I have to tell you that Kathy and Jay have created a very welcoming place to recharge. The property is set right next to a running stream that you can hear when you have the windows open. The house is lovely with many little touches. Our daughter really enjoyed the collection of childrens books and the piano. The kitchen is well appointed. We relaxed at the house but also enjoyed Averill farms for apple picking and the White Horse Country restaurant. We would love to visit again! Thank you!
