Everybody knows Norway is an expensive country compared to most European countries. So I guess the idea of getting very comfortable accomodation for a more realistic price is very good. I liked everything about this hotel. The location was very nice - very near public transportation (to the airport and city center). The price was fair. It didn't bother me that they don't clean the room every day. The bathroom had also warm floor. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me one.

Everything was fine. I will keep an eye on Citybox in other cities as well when I book again. I didn't try the breakfast/restaurant.

I liked the concept, probably designed to reduce costs, whereby there was no receptionist and if you needed anything you had to go to the manager's office or ring a bell. My wife did not like that system. Breakfast was okay.

I asked that they straighten out the room for the second day and was refused. Upon request, we did get a fresh set of towels.

Self check-in and check-out was very convenient. Our room was clean and nice.

It’s only cleaned once a week, and doesn’t have a TV or tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Nice place not very far from the city center walking (a nice about a 30-minute walk), but also very practically located close to the Bybanen city-airport train stop Danmarksplass (about 35 minutes to the airport, 8 minutes to the city center). Very easy to find, uncomplicated check-in, staff available all the time if you need help, very welcome and lively place, but also quiet, if you need to relax and enjoy your privacy. Everything very clean, simple but nice and comfortable room (ours had a view of a nearby mountain and a big supermarket Extra just opposite the hotel - open every day). There is cleaning only if you pay extra but this didn't bother us during our 3-night stay at all. Extra towels are available at the reception if needed, we asked for a water kettle and could keep it during the whole stay. There is a restaurant where you can have breakfast/lunch/dinner, but we didn't use it. Exploring Bergen, we very much recommend walking up Floyen Mountain and hiking around and also going to Mount Ulriken (we took the cable car). Next time staying in Bergen we would stay at Citybox Danmarksplass again.

The bed was too soft. The kitchen consists of a water cattle, microwave, toaster, good coffee, fridge for everyone's use, and some disposable wooden cutlery/plates/cups. We would have expected a little bit more real kitchen equipment, do not expect to really cook there.

The check in process was very smooth.

The room was small and mobility was inconvenient.

Heating, bathroom and bed were pretty good and comfortable.

It takes around 25 min to walk to city center.

Everything is clean and new.

The breakfast in the lobby is not that good and is not worth the price.
