The host was very welcoming, accommodated our 2 young children and had prepared everything that we needed. We liked that it was so self contained with a private outside area so we were able to put the kids to bed and share a take away and bottle of wine in the private courtyard. The bed was super comfy and the location was very quiet. The host had stocked the fridge with lovely fresh fruit with pastries for breakfast and some cereals to accommodate our 1 year old.

There was nothing that we feel could have been improved on. We very much enjoyed our visit.

Kate was lovely and really welcoming. The room and bathroom were beautifully done up, incredibly clean and really cosy. The breakfast was delicious and she catered for my dietary needs perfectly.

A very warm welcome by the Proprietor. Warm and comfortable accommodation and a fabulous Continental breakfast with warm croissants delivered to your door. Very quiet and peaceful location too.

Delicious breakfast brought to the room. Croissants and toast kept warm in an insulated hamper. Everything was good quality and plentiful. Local honey was a nice touch, as was the fresh coffee. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room, and a table and chairs for breakfast. The decor was tasteful and comfy. It was obvious that a lot of thought and care had been taken to make the room inviting. The shower was fantastic. We were there in February and we were cosy and warm. The room was spotlessly clean. Everything had been thought of including plenty of plug sockets, usb chargers by the beds, a full length mirror, good quality toiletries, lots of soft towels. We were tired after our journey so tried the local pub which was walking distance rather than venturing further afield for our evening meal, and we were both happy with the food and drinks. There was also a Coop supermarket within walking distance for anything else we might need. Our host Kate was very attentive and was able to give any information that we might need whilst also allowing us our privacy. The location was peaceful and quiet. All in all a great stay and we would return.

The directions were really clear and the extra message sent by the owner made us feel welcome and confident in where we were going. The suite was decorated in a cosy but modern style and gardens were beautiful. We were provided with a lovely breakfast and our own patio area. The owners were really friendly and made us feel at ease. We will definitely return!

There wasn't anything we didn't like!

Kate was a great host who made sure we had everything we needed to end our Devon road trip. Great communication from start to finish. The accommodation was beautifully presented and was lovely, warm, and comfortable space for me and my family.

Our hosts were lovely, the shower was amazing, bed very comfortable and a good size and the breakfast was very tasty.

Super clean, super comfy, and very cosy. Has absolutely everything I needed! I was staying on my own and felt very safe. The properly is super quiet and felt very private.

Breakfast delicious and available in room so we could eat at our convenience. EV charger available which was fantastic Decor of room was lovely with lots of little added touches which made it very cosy and comfortable. Our dogs were welcome and access to the lane to walk them was next to the room. Kate was very welcoming

Kate has made a great spot for anyone wanting to stay in the area. I was travelling so I didn't spend much time there but it's a great place! I would and will recommend everybody I know is going to the area!

Absolutely stunning. So much thought and detail put into this beautiful suite. From the minute we opened the gate into our private area we knew that we had found a piece of gold. Immaculately presented and so comfortable. We had a continental breakfast which was fresh and yummy. Lucy our labrador was made to feel very welcome and the back gate leading out to the dog exercise area was just great.

Lovely room, well furnished, very clean, great location for country walks, extremely dog friendly, your own courtyard secluded, comfortable with tables and chairs. Lovely landlady, very pleasant and welcoming. Definitely we will be coming back to stay again, you very rarely find somewhere that ticks all the boxes with no compromise’s!!

The room was very nicely decorated, clean and tidy. The bathroom was very modern and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was in the room and offered a range of different food which were all very nice and tasty. Location is very good being only 7-8 minutes from the Motorway and the views from the garden were very nice as the sun started to rise in the east on a cold crisp morning! Met Kate briefly on my departure and was very polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend here and stay again!

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

What a great place to stay! The setting is close to town but also secluded and private and everything was done to a high standard - anything you could have needed was there. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had a delicious breakfast delivered hot to our door! Highly recommended, as is the host!
