The owners have amazing hospitality! The location was just as we hope, secluded and in the mountains, but what really made this property was all the little things the owners provided to make our stay.

What a wonderful, relaxing weekend we had at the crooked house. It had everything my dear friends and I needed: plenty of space to cook and catch up, wonderful hikes nearby, and enough amenities nearby without sacrificing the foresty retreat of the home’s environs. Most of all, Holly and Scott were so helpful and available for us—our visit came the weekend after extensive flooding in the region, and Holly and Scott were so communicative, generous and helpful, even while they were out of town. We were so glad that the home wasn’t impacted, but were even more grateful for the comfort and peace of mind they gave us. That’s on top of all the wonderful resources and notes they keep on the property. And while we were a group of friends reuniting, each of us could easily imagine bringing our future families here. Maybe someday we’ll return in the wintertime with little ones. Thank you, Holly and Scott!

We had an amazing time at this place! Check in/out were super smooth, and the communication with the host was lovely. The house had a cozy and welcoming feel with its rustic yet super clean modern decor. The hosts made sure we were well taken care of. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and exploring the beautiful surroundings. It was a peaceful and memorable retreat that left us longing for more nature-filled bonding in the future.

The house was clean and cozy, lots of supplies and all amenities were great. The house had tons of recommendations and resources for finding things to do in the area; the owners were responsive and kind when we needed something. Definitely recommend staying at the Crooked House!

Holly & Scott are awesome! Any questions answered right away. The even supplied us with 22" of powder at Killington for an epic week. House is such a cozy place to spend with friends and family. Especailly after a long day of skiing.

We chose this house for our family ski trip. It was perfect. The house is very comfortable and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to others. Truly a fantastic place to stay in Vermont.

We came up on a Friday with snow and bad driving conditions and the driveway was extremely icy. However, the owners were extremely responsive and got someone to come and sand the roads as soon as possible. We loved our stay!

The house was great. My crew and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the amenities such as the deck and sauna. The house was conveniently located just far enough from the mountain where we’d have some privacy and close enough to a variety of resorts so we didn’t feel too far away from all the fun. However the roads leading to the house were a bit scary during rain/ snow so I’d say be careful and definitely have good tires and 4WD. Overall, we had a great stay and couldn’t recommend this house enough.

If you need a quiet getaway, this is the place. The house is located on the edge of the Green Mountain National Forest and is surrounded by trees. You'll never notice that there are neighbors it's so quiet. The Crooked house is well stocked with everything you could need. Minor inconvenience is that there is no bathroom on the main floor, you must go up or down stairs. Love this place!

The house was great. Instructions for tv's and appliances all over the house. Beds were very comfortable. Hosts supplied paper products and trash bags, coffee and spices. Grocery stores are not close to the house which sits on the side of a mountain, but the hosts supplied directions to nearby restaurants and stores. Great place to use as a base for exploring Vermont. We traveled to Stowe, Burlington, Woodstock, Chester, and many lovely other Vermont towns.

The crooked house surpassed our expectations. It was roomy, homey and very well stocked. Holly snd Scott were very quick to respond to any questions we had.

We had instructions posted for all the appliances, tvs, sauna, grill, fireplace, etc. Cabin was fully stocked with every utensil and dish we would ever need. There were games, dvds, and books for our use. They even provided cooking oils and spices and coffee. It was wonderful.

You can tell that Holly and Scott really care about their home and take good care of it. It felt like a home away from home rather than just some income property. They were incredibly kind, very helpful, and responsive as we worked through a little issue that ended up being easily resolved. Thank you both so much!

The Crooked House offers a guests a truly deep woods experience, with all the beauty of rural Vermont, but proximity to plenty of food and shopping options.

The Crooked House was so well cared for and had everything one could possibly need. It was a pleasure staying there!

Our stay at the Crooked House was excellent despite it being the hottest week of the year. Although there was no AC, there were ample fans that kept everyone cool (in addition to the frequent trips to the river that was just a short drive/walk away) . The kitchen was well supplied, the house was extremely clean and well-kept and the wealth of games kept our family entertained throughout our stay. The owners were incredibly responsive to any questions we had throughout the week. Overall, it was a delightful stay and we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

What am amazing property! Our group of 6 adults, one teenager, and a 3 year old had an amazing stay. The house was laid out perfectly for the group to be together and have privacy when wanted as well. It was stocked better then we could have ever dreamed. Everything was clean and instructions for anything you could need were stellar. Highly recommend this gorgeous private property.

When we arrived at the crooked house, we were pleasantly surprised by how tucked away it was. Inside, the home was beautiful and incredibly spacious. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and the hard wood floors throughout made the home seem even cozier. We enjoyed cooking, grilling and making fires each night. Very grateful for our stay at Holly & Scott’s.

We loved the fire place, and how well equipped the kitchen was. Since ski season is pretty much wrapped up downtown Killington was a little empty. Definitely recommend bringing food/drinks up with you. Absolutely will be coming back.

Amazing house stocked with everything you need. Perfect set up for 2 family's with a hand full of kids. Short drive from Killington and Pico. We all had a great time. We would stay again and again. Thank you.
