We have just returned from this fantastic villa and it was amazing in every way. As a family of four, this is our new go-to holiday destination. Tracey was lovely and showed us everything we needed to know about the property and the area. The pool was perfect, clean and the heating made it even more enjoyable as the late May early June weather got warmer. The location is ideal for families or anyone wanting to explore. A lovely 5 minute walk down a pedestrian lane leads you to one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever visited. It really was a gem hidden amongst the busier less attractive beaches. There are many wonderful restaurants within walking distance or short drive. Or local supermarkets with very nice bbq meat and vegetables. Gale was a short 8 minute drive (or 30 minute 4k run) away and Albufeira another short 10 minute drive in the other direction. The property was beautiful, spacious and well kept. The kitchen had everything you would need for lazy cooking or full blown entertaining. We were a little hesitant allowing the children to sleep downstairs whilst we slept in the huge upstairs room, but we shouldn’t have been. The outside gates, the lockable shutters and the bolted doors all gave good security. There was even an alarm system for when you went out. I really couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thanks for having us to stay. We’ll be back as soon as we can.

Our third visit to this lovely villa, and as wonderful as ever. The villa has everything you need for the perfect stay in the Algarve: heated pool, lovely big modern kitchen, 5 minute walk to the beach, excellent restaurants within walking distance... the list goes on. Thank you Mark and Alex.

Stress free villa, lovely facilites, beach just a 5 mins walk. Close to Albufeira should you choose to venture out.

The owners have thought of everything, their villa is comfortable and well equipped. We would be happy to return at a later date. Unfortunately we had some days where the water hadn't heated through the solar system, and our phone wouldn't connect to the manager to address the problem, but that wouldn't put me off from returning. Spacious, well equipped villa. Well situated, whether on foot (beaches, restaurants) or by car (visiting surroundings). Nice to come to after excursions. Well worth paying to heat the pool (in November); used it daily. House well divided for privacy. Lots of local info. Easy arrangements with Tracey. Quick replies to our questions and quick solutions. Very high on our list of rentals. Would certainly consider returning.

We all had a wonderful week at the villa. The location was great. We did request to have the pool heated so that we could all enjoy it. Any issues we did have were very quickly dealt with. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything you could possibly need. We appreciated having a couple of very good restaurants within walking distance.

Wow! The villa is located perfectly and is just a 5 minute walk to the beach. There are 3 or 4 excellent restaurants all within a 10 minute walking distance. The villa itself is exactly as described with 3 double bedrooms all with their own bathroom. It’s fully air-conditioned, the wifi was excellent and it has a great roof terrace. The large living space downstairs was perfect for our family (there were 5 of us) and the kitchen and bbq are all fully equipped. The pool is one of the biggest we have had so overall we would certainly recommned this property and would have no hesitation to go back. We have already to tried to book it for next year but sadly it’s not available. Thank for letting us rent the property.

We were a family of 6 adults and 2 kids, the villa was clean, perfect quiet location but close enough to everything If required! We will definitely be back!

We, a party of 8 had a fabulous holiday at Casa Jakatina. The villa was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. The location was superb, and was opposite a footpath that took 6 minutes to get the beach. Apart from a large outdoor swimming pool, there was a ping pong table and a BBQ. There were parasols provided to take to the beach which was very convenient Throughout the villa, there were many areas where you could eat and relax, including a roof top area which had lovely views of the surrounding area. Locally there were several restaurants, including O Marinheiro where we ate a few times during our stay and would recommend. Overall, this was a first class holiday, and would definitely recommend a stay at this villa.

This villa is very located in Algarve. We drove everywhere and discovered so many beautiful beaches. The house is very confortable and Mark, the owner, was always quick to respond to us.

Spacious villa. Good location. Fantastic pool. Bathrooms need some updating though and not cleaned to a high standard.Rusty shower attachments and black mould on tile grouting. Lots of dust and hairs around basins and floors. Kitchen very well equipped. Had to ask for a stair gate then wait until next day as it was locked in a cupboard. Said stair gate needs replacing as it was so difficult to use and basically fell apart each time it was opened. Nearest beach not very child friendly. Not easy to walk to with a buggy.

A beautiful villa, very well equipped and close to amenities. Perfect for a family holiday.

Fantastic villa, in a great location to get to many parts of the Algarve coast within the hour by car. There are restaurants & supermarkets nearby, and the beach is a 5 min stroll away. You can also walk the cliff tops and watch the sun set in the evening. The villa itself is well stocked, from cooking utensils to comfy beds. Tracy, the villa manager, popped in to see if we were okay, and kindly dealt with a minor light bulb issue within one of the showers. Isobel comes to clean and make beds too, so excellent service all round! We stayed at the end of Feb, so we paid extra for the pool to be heated and never regretted it, as it was used every day, even in the evenings. It’s a beautiful garden to sit and have breakfast as the birds chirp all around. There is also table tennis in the back and good wi-fi which the teens were happy about! Overall, I would definitely choose to stay here again if we decided to come back to Portugal!

Lovely decorated villa with all the modern facilities you could ask for. Heated pool was a bonus for the children. Would highly recommend and we had a very enjoyable stay.

We loved this villa - near the beach, water parks, old town, great restaurants. Villa was clean, well maintained and had everything you need, we would recommend a stay here.

What a lovely villa - a blend of luxury contemporary design and authentic Portuguese touches. Large comfortable bedrooms and great spaces for entertaining and chilling , both inside and out. Fab location - 5 mins walk from scenic Rabbit beach. So many things to do in the area, we ran out of time. Do try the sea kayaking - its the perfect way to see the spectacular coastline.

Beautifully maintained villa, gardens and pool. The location was great for the beach and a number of excellent restaurants, with a nearby shop. Really helpful owner and manager. We'll definitely be going back!

From entry into the villa to the departure - I can not express how lovely, quiet and relaxing this villa is. It is in a fantastic location with a short transfer from the airport. It has a heated pool and the grounds are immaculate. The inside is bright modern and spacious with everything you need. There is a useful information booklet with everything you need inside. A maid attends to the villa daily and a gardener tends to the outside. I can't say enough about this villa and will definitely be back to stay again.

This villa was everything we had hoped it would be. We loved the wonderful stone spiral staircase that leads up to a roof terrace but the highlight for us was the amazing pool. We would come back after dinner at one of the local restaurants and then have an evening dip - the pool lights up at night and is heated so it was always very welcoming. The villa is gorgeous - it's comfortable and immaculate with a bathroom for every bedroom. I can honestly say that we don't have a single negative thing to say about it - it made our holiday extra special and we will definitely return in the future.

Our family is a family of 5 with kids aged 13, 12 and 10 and this is the first time we have booked a villa and also first time to go to Portugal. Family consensus was that we had the ‘best holiday ever’ . We will definitely be doing villas for the foreseeable future, although Jakatina has set the bar high! Apart from the obvious (pool; ac; location; cleanliness; Izzy etc. etc.) it was the little things that we appreciated. As a self-confessed control freak I appreciated the care and attention to detail, such as spare travel plugs; pump for lilos; extra tray for the oven; wine bottle chiller). Recommendations from us to add to the below reviews would include: Hapimag restaurant delicious with great Kids Menu; Scoobies is fun and owner very welcoming; be aware that several outlets only take cash but there is an ATM at Hapimag (facing mini market); book restaurants in advance and don't assume you can turn up and sit down; Apolonia Supermarket was good (recognisable brands) but Continente was better value (if manic!). It was a privilege to be able to enjoy Casa Jakatina and as Algarve newbies we definitely hope to be back. Thanks Mark and Tracey for all your support in terms of arranging transport etc.

This was our first holiday to Portugal and it didn't disappoint! from the minute we arrived in Faro Airport we were met by George our taxi driver who was really welcoming and friendly and took us to Casa Jakatina. The villa was stunning and better than the photo's which were great! air conditioning in every room, comfortable and spacious, the new kitchen is lovely with everything you need, really was home from home. The pool is glorious and we spend a lot of time in it! the gardens were lush for such a hot country. The sprinklers came on at night and this keeps the gardens looking nice. The Villa is set in a lovely location, quiet with a sea view from the top of the house. Isabella the cleaning lady and the guy that cleaned the pool were very unobtrusive friendly and professional both did a grand job looking after the place. We were welcomed by Tracy the Manager and she was a delight to meet and very helpful. The Villa is near the beach which has a restaurant bar and the food is really good. Restaurant Marinheira was good! so good we went there twice :) just a short walk away. Shopping is not too far away and there is a little shop down from the Villa to the right and walk a little way and has everything you need for convenience. We visited the water parks and Zoomarina, if you love Dolphins it is a must! All in all a great holiday, lovely place to stay, home from home. We will definitely be going back again. Fantastic Luxury Villa, with a great location about 400 yards from the lovely Coelha beach. Villa Jakatina has everything you need with a recently fitted modern kitchen and a few little extras such as filtered water and heated towel rails in all the bathrooms. Great beds and powerful showers. Pool is huge, approx. 11 x 5 metres and pool heating is available. Lots of books and games as well as strong WiFi and a Samsung hd TV. Located close to some super restaurants O’Marinheiro, Dom Dinis, Jompra, all top restaurants less than 10 minutes walk. €10 for a taxi into Albufeira. 5 days of cleaning a week if you want it and communication from owner Mark and Manager Tracy was excellent. You won’t be dissppointed if you’re lucky enough to book this great villa.

Well equipped villa good position

First time in the algarve and we had an amazing holiday. This villa is truly stunning. Pool is brilliant, we paid extra for it to be heated and it was definitely worth it as our children used all day every day. You can tell the owners use for themselves as everything is cared for, new kitchen with everything you’d ever need and super comfy beds. Isobel the cleaning lady that comes in daily was great and Tracey the manager checked all was fine with us so we felt very welcome. Close to small supermarket and beach and to an amazing restaurant O marinheira, so good we went twice! Marks email communication was extremely prompt. I have nothing negative to say at all, I’m only sad we had to leave!
