Lovely house, large enough for the 6 of us, although it can sleep more I wouldn’t have wanted to share with anymore than that. Steve was very helpful, no issues apart from maybe check crockery pans etc as there were a lot that needed cleaning before they could be used. Thanks for everything.

There were 10 adults and 9 children ranging from 4 years to 66years old - the pool and Jaccuzzi were the main attraction for the younger ones - there could be a few more instructions for the working of the cinema room and sound bar etc. Also no glasses in cinema room even though there was a bar in there - could also do with a slightly better BBQ - think it’s seen the best of its days.
On the whole fantastic views and the local pub (The Church Inn ) was amazing food and drink wise.

The swimming pool and hot tub was a great addition as well as the ping pong table/football field/basketball hoop!

This house proved to be an idea l place to spend a few days with grandparents, children and grandchildren. The facilities were fantastic and allowed us to enjoy our holiday despite very poor weather. The warm enclosed swimming pool enabled the grand children to improved their swimming skills and the movie screen and projector allowed the adults to catch up on some movies. I hope we get chance to return before long.

This is the third time we have stayed at this wonderful property and we will definitely return again. The place is perfectly set up for families with lots to keep children entertained including a fantastic outside space. Our three boys loved the swimming pool which is a real highlight of the property. I enjoyed swimming lengths too as the pool temperate is perfect and the setting stunning with views across to the hills. You won’t regret booking here. Whilst no one wanted to leave the house as there is plenty to do during a short stay, the children had a magical time at Shaldon Zoo and the adults enjoyed the coffee and delicious food at Ode. We also need the recipe for the rocky road that was waiting for us on arrival! Thanks for a wonderful stay, the Ogilvie family.

A much needed rest and relaxation holiday in October half term. Even with dodgy English weather we had an amazing time. Exploring the local area with lots of swims and time on the climbing frame. With chilled out times in the cinema room.

Property was great, had everything to cater for our party of 16. Bedroom layout suited perfectly. Amenities and equipment on property as stated . Made very welcome by hosts and greeted with home made scones which were so yummy.

12 of us but could have been 16 plus. Loads of room, beautifully decorated, fitted out and equipped. Gorgeous indoor pool and hot tub got plenty of action. Plenty to play at outside - table tennis, footy, climbing frame. It’s just the problem of negotiating the narrow lanes.

The weather meant we fully appreciated all the space, comfort and facilities in this attractive house. We enjoyed the light, airy rooms, the tranquil views and the peaceful location. We messed around in the warm pool, relaxed in the hot tub, battled the wind to play table tennis and shared long convivial meals at the vast kitchen table. We recommend eating at the local pub or, for a special occasion, at The Elephant in Torquay, visiting Buckfast Abbey and the wonderful Babbacombe Model Village.

What a fabulous property for a big family gathering. The bedroom & bathroom arrangements were perfect for us. The 7 grandchildren had a blast & were hardly out of the swimming pool. The football pitch was a great venue for a sports afternoon. With so much to entertain the children there was plenty of r&r time for the adults! The weather couldn't have been better. Thank you Steve & Charlotte for a wonderful holiday.

A terrific stay. The photos don’t really do the property justice. We spent a long weekend here and were blessed with fine weather. Sun all day on the rear patio, and watching it set on the decking out front!. Didn’t need to stray far from home as we had everything you could wish for. 15 adults from 21 to 86 had enough room to space out and have some quiet time if needed. Would highly recommend if you want some quality time away with your family.

Beautifully presented house, immaculately clean and very well equipped. Superb facilities for all ages and extremely comfortable, with lots of very comfy beds and spotless bathrooms. Catering facilities were fantastic , loads of crockery, cutlery and glasses and two dishwashers!!! Extensive cooking and eating facilities inside and out, amazing views and a swimming pool plus hot tub, what more could you want? Owners were super helpful and obliging, our weekend away went without a hitch and we'd love to come back soon.

We had a lovely family get together for our mother’s 80th birthday. Her grandchildren travelled from Berlin, Brighton, Bath and Exeter to stay at the property and although the weather was shocking, we had a truly marvelous time. We had a wonderful time at the Old Nursery to celebrate my 40th birthday and our son’s 10th birthday with family and friends. The property has everything you could possibly need and there is tons of space. Excellent communication from the owners throughout. The kids loved the garden, climbing frame, basketball net, table tennis, cinema room, fabulous pool and hot tub. We will definitely be back and have already recommended the property to family and friends.

We were a family group of mixed ages, ranging from 10 - 80. All enjoyed this wonderful property. The pool, hot tub and cinema room were a particular hit, as were the walk to the local pub, The Church House Inn, for Sunday lunch. Also the coastal walk from the Thatched Inn (a brave few going in the sea...in February!).

We had the most amazing trip to the old nursery. The communication and hospitality was first class and the cream tea for arrival was a really lovely touch. The cinema room, pool and hot tub was a real luxury and big hit with the children and the views and outside setting was just stunning.

What a wonderful place for an extended family get together. the house was well provided for and the on-site facilities gave plenty of entertainment when the weather was inclement.. There is plenty to do in the local area. For our family the swimming pool was a real bonus. we recommend the Crabshack at newton Abbot for a superb meal and also the Church Inn in Stokeinteignhead for good food and generous portions. we would all happily return if the we are able.

Had a fabulous stay. The photographs do not do the accommodation justice. Lots of space for the children and dogs to run around outside, great pool and hot tub. Inside was very spacious and very well maintained. Lots of room for everyone. A throughly enjoyable weekend.

There were 19 of us ranging from 2 to 89. The house was wonderful with everything we wanted. Pool, hot tub, childrens play area and table tennis were an added bonus as it meant we didn’t feel need to go out all time. The local pub was lovely and there is a fab little cafe with beach below as a reward after a 2 mile coastal stroll. Coombe Cellars is also great place to eat as it’s on the estuary and they easily catered for our large party. The host was also welcoming and the scones, jam and cream a lovely touch after our various journeys

This was our first time away together since the arrival of 6 grandchildren and the location, facilities, room configuration, number of bathrooms and space, both indoor and outdoor, was just perfect. In fact, we've probably set the bar a bit high as there must be very few properties which would accommodate 17 of us so well, so it looks like we'll be back again! Charlotte and Steve really care about their guests, ensuring that they have the best experience including a Devon cream scone for everyone.

The house is everything it says it is. It has all you need and more.
We were 3 families and dogs. The layout of the 8 bedrooms allows different families, or ages, to have their own space too.. Lovely enclosed grounds and views.
Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi well used. Thoughtful touches like homemade scones, jam, and cream awaiting our arrival. - very much appreciated.
Lots to do in the area - but the one thing we had not appreciated is just how hilly the area is (google maps doesnt reflect this!). Wide selection of nice pubs within under two miles.
Recommended - you won't be disappointed.

Review of the old nursery Stokeinteignhead
Fabulous setting with gorgeous views and lovely peaceful surroundings. Village was picturesque. Maidencombe close by was awesome. The pool and hot tub were very clean and made our stay even more enjoyable. Garden could have been a but more cared for and disappointed there was no trampoline as advertised but this didn't detract from our experience. Would definitely like to stay again. The weekend wasn't long enough to enjoy everything on offer. Sorry about leaving the balloons. There wasn't room in the car to take them home and hoped they could have been used for next holiday makers. The host responded quickly to all the many questions I sent him and was really helpful.

A beautiful property with a pretty garden and countryside views.
The house is of a high specification with modern facilities. The terrace, swimming pool and hot tub are great features with views of the countryside. It is very well equipped and the configuration of bedrooms and bathrooms suits different groups. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The house is very clean and comfortable and we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in a beautiful house set in the Devon countryside.

Great house with everything you could possibly need on site. We stayed for a family birthday celebration with ages ranging from 5-60 and everyone loved it. The cinema room, pool, hot tub and outside spaces were a huge hit! Would definitely come back.

We stayed here as we were getting married in a nearby location. The house /pool is amazing and super clean. The garden is really good for children as well as adults.
