Great location with our cottage being only a short walk from the beach and pool. The home was easy to access and easy to find. We especially enjoyed the three outdoor seating areas. We had kids of all ages and the spaces were perfect.

This property is gorgeous and close to the beach. We arrived on the island early and when we pulled into the restaurant where we were eating lunch we were texted that the house was ready. We drove right over and were unloading our luggage when we heard someone open the front door of the home. A very rude woman yelled that we couldn't be in the house. When I informed her we'd been texted that it was ok to check in she argued with me. I showed her the text we had just received. She still acted rude and defensive. She said she wasn't sure the house was ready. I said "well can you verify with whomever texted us?" A member of our party who had to use the restroom after the long drive informed her that the toilet paper had the paper indicating at least that bathroom had been cleaned. The woman was still unfriendly and suspicious with us and we informed her we'd go eat and return so she could check out the house. I should have called the rental company then. When we returned 90 minutes later she wasn't there but a member of our party stepped on broken glass as we readied for the beach. It made a deep gash in her foot. Several towels in her bathroom were filthy and there was sand all over the floor. I reached out to the rental company and was told to send pictures. We did, but instead of getting an apology we got a message on my cell that said the lady was just there dropping off parking passes (which is a lie because they were there when we arrived) and that we wouldn't be receiving any refund. I didn't necessarily want a refund, but maybe an apology for the rude way we were welcomed and for my friend getting hurt.

I rented the True Knot Cottage for a recent work trip, and it turned out to be the perfect home away from home. Everything about the home was comfortable and clean, and the community and its amenities (including the beach!) were everything I needed to be productive, inspired, and relaxed. VRBO made the entire experience of finding and reserving the house as easy as it could possibly be.

Wonderful and spacious Charleston style home just steps from the beach. Amazing porches and decks. Nice private beach access and the home had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun getaway.

The home is beautiful and spacious. It is in a fantastic location. The beach is only a few minutes away by foot with your own private access to the beach and only a couple minutes drive to get “downtown”.

Travelled with our 4 kids. Perfect distance to beach, pool an added bonus. So much character and charm! The balconies are such a treat and extend the living space. No one wanted to leave. Hope to return again one day.

True Knot has a great location and easy access to the beach, pool and St. Simons village and pier. Home was clean and meet all of our expectations.

The house is perfect, we had a great stay! Thank you to our hosts! The kids loved the bunk room, I loved that all the bedrooms were on the same floor. The porches are relaxing, the kitchen had everything we needed, and we loved watching fireworks from the crows nest.

We love the Coastal Cottages in St Simons- our favorite spot to stay. We enjoyed True Knot Cottage and renting through Vacasa- very accommodating and if we had any questions they were very quick to respond! Thanks for everything!

Just steps from the beach. This cottage did not disappoint. My husband and I only spent two nights here. We loved the large kitchen and living room. So many porches and different visual sites from each level. We will definitely visit again.

Right front burner on stove didn’t work Lock on master bath is backwards U can get locked in bath. Faucet drips in sink in first floor

Overall it was good . Location and beach abd pool amenities good. Bathrooms are older and had mildew and cheap shower curtain liners . I suggest owner updates bath tub/ showers . Fabrics were also worn and dirty in living room. Next time I would look at this more carefully and rent a newer more updated unit. Also I called and tried to get some answers in advance about checking in and never got any call backs. I had to also hold for 25 min to get anyone.

House is in a great neighborhood and I would definitely stay in this area again. I would say that the bathroom showers really need updating - especially the master bathroom. This would not stop me from staying there again, but for the price per night, it’s really something to consider. The management company was very responsive to the few questions we had. They did a nice job in that regard.

My family and I loved the cleanliness and excellent customer service received during our stay! We will be back.

The house reminded me of my beloved Charleston and was so comfortable for our family of 4. My kids loved riding their bikes everywhere, playing in the pool and riding in the golf cart. The weather was perfect. What a blessing the whole trip was! Thank you for a much needed change of pace.

Great place to relax

We loved the community of houses and how easy it was to get to the beach. The house has plenty of space and fit the 8 of us perfectly! The wagon provided to take our stuff to the beach was also a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend staying at this house for a trip to St. Simons!

The property was everything you could hope for in a beach house. The interior layout was great and we really enjoyed how the house was decorated. The neighborhood was charming and the pool and entrance to the beach were so convenient. We look forward to returning!

We loved staying at True Knot Cottage! It was such a great house for our family. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked and we loved the side porch, we ate almost every meal out there. We would love to stay there again!

House was clean and as described. However, it does need some updates with furnishings and finishes because it feels a little more worn compared to other houses we have rented on this same street. With that said, we did really enjoy our stay and it was very clean!
