The property was beautiful, well maintained and home very clean and well stocked. Beds were a little hard but nice and clean. We loved the deck and spent most of our time outside at the large table and chairs also where we ate dinner. The drive up the mountain was a little rough but we did have a 4 wheel drive and made it just fine. Overall I would have to rate it a 5 out of 5 ❤️ We would definitely book it again.

Beautiful cabin, impeccably kept, located at the very top of the mountain with great views. We stayed during July with the family, the area offers great opportunities for kayaking, zip lining and o ther outdoor activities. The internet connection is very good and there are several TVs with cable, Netflix, etc The route to get to the cabin requires you to leave the paved backroad and go up the mountain on a gravel road. This in my opinion is only suitable for SUVs. Two things that could be improved are the outdoor grill which was very small and old and the garbage process which requires you to take all your garbage back with you instead of disposing it in the cabin. Overall a very positive experience for the whole family. Would recommend to friends.

It is a beautiful area! Great views! There are other houses near by but were not distrubed. We had a couple people come by bur turned around and left. Was a little difficult to figure out how far is was as there was no sign for it until you get to it. Has pretty much everything you need. The refrigerator didnt have all the parts in it which made it a little difficult to have everything in it and was not very clean. They have games and stuff there you can play. We brought our own so didnt messs with their's. It was a very nice place to just get away and hang out in the peace and quiet.However, it is literally 3 miles straight up a mountain. Definitely a place to stay but wouldnt recommended going and coming constantly. Overall, was a beautiful place and very nice to stay. Great hide away just didnt like the ride up and down the mountain.

Went with our 5 teenagers and the loved the place. We never left for the two days we were there. The drive up is a bit extreme and something most folks should consider doing during the day and not after having just a beer with dinner. We have a diesel suburban and it was really tight in spots and I just just thankful we didn’t run into another truck going the opposite direction. All that being said, we will absolutely stay again if we have the chance. This time though, we will pack everything we need for the time and just slow things down and enjoy some family time together, literally on top of a mountain! I hope everyone else that stays here enjoys it as much as we did.

Wonderful weekend with my brothers!!+ Scenery was everything to us. Everything you need is there except your food of course. The drive up to the place was the only negative thing I have to say. I drove my truck so it wasn't bad however my brother drove his car to save on gas but found out he should have driven his....great stay overall!!

I didn’t appreciate the garbage situation that was a bit much. It was a big inconvenience having to go take out trash to come back to check out because everything and everyone didn’t fit in my vehicle.

The drive up the hill was intimidating, but then I felt foolish when I saw a builder drove a ford fusion up and down everyday. The property was clean and the hot tub was great. I did not try the sauna. The view is incredible as you are at the end of the road all the way at the top. I would stay again, but it would be in the autumn to see the leaves changing colors.

Great place to stay and everything is exactly as the description explains and the photos show. I will say as other people have mentioned that by all means 4x4 is not just a recommendation by in my opinion a requirement. We had 4x4 and had no problem whatsoever but I cannot imagine someone without it trying to make it to the top of the mountain. Because backing down or turning around mid way up in my opinion is not an option. So I can’t express enough to make sure you do have 4x4, you’ll thank me and yourselves for it. Once you’re at the top though all I can say is it truly is heavens peak. Would love to book again in the future!! Also within 30 min of casino or the gsmr!

I read some reviews that made me a bit nervous but honestly the place is fabulous. Hockey table worked perfect my teenagers enjoyed it. We enjoyed hot tub. Amazing views. Super clean. The drive was a bit rough for me but I made it without any problems, gravel was a bit muddy because it probably rained before we got there however we made it up and down ok. The only down part was having to take trash with us cause dumpster was closed due to the holiday LOL so we drove 3 hours with the trash in our pickup truck! But it was all good. Other than that, we were able to ride our four wheelers and had a blast in the back porch. Also, went down the hill for a little campfire gathering with the friends and kiddos. My knees are not in good shape so it was a bit much for me to walk down the hill for it but had a blast nonetheless. We did have to drive down mountain in the rain to get something from grocery store it’s a 35 min drive but it didn’t feel like much because we enjoyed the fog and view and all. This place is definitely for a 4x4!!! Will save this place and come back in the summer!!!!!!!! Totally recommend it if you’re up for some fun!!!!

The house itself was just as listed, very spacious, clean. The location, however, was a little misguided. It is stated 4 wheel drives are preferred but this house was 20 minutes straight up a gravel road. Could have done some damage to a car/SUV from the acceleration needed. The grill on the property did not work either, and once you actually made it to the top of the hill, you were not leaving. Had a bunch of food to grill but ended up having to use the oven. If you have a big vehicle, and are taking in the views, i recommend this property.

My wife and I had a great time! We came to ride the train in Bryson City and absolutely loved that! The property is about a 30 minute drive to the train depot. I would highly recommend using 4x4 to get up the driveway because it’s a good hike up the driveway but the scenery is amazing on a clear day! We were able to capture some amazing pictures since the leaves were still very colorful! This property has some of the best places to take pictures that I have seen! The cabin made us feel like we were at home and became very comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family and anyone who is looking for a fun getaway for a weekend or even a few days!

The cabin was clean and exactly as described. We were lucky enough to rent during the peak season to see the fall color. The views from the cabin were amazing. The drive to the cabin was actually fun for us. The scenery was breathtaking and we spotted several chipmunks each time we went up and down the mountain.

Our family of 7 just spent a wonderful time in Whittier at Heaven's Peak. Our only regret was not having more time at the cabin. My 21 year old son said "we should have stayed a week. This place is so nice I wish we had spent more time here enjoying it all". The cabin was just as described, super clean, well furnished and comfortable. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the beauty of the property, inside and out. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was very clean and we had plenty of utensils in the kitchen and nice plush towels. The drive up is something else. We didn't arrive until late Friday night and going up in the dark was an adventure. Pay attention to the comments about the drive. We had no trouble with the directions or getting up the road because I did read all the reviews before we went. Even still, I had no concept of how long we would be on the dirt road portion. I say this only because there were several times I thought we must have passed the cabin or we were in the wrong place but follow the directions and when you think you should be there, just keep driving. The next morning driving down that road I just kept thinking this is unspoiled nature and I really like that. Being that far up gave us a gorgeous view from the wrap around covered porch. I so enjoyed sitting outside with my coffee and nature. It was so quiet I could hear all the wonderful sounds of nature and nothing else. It was wonderful. I will say before you book be aware of the additional fee for use of the sauna (we did not use it mostly because of the extra charge) and the deposit/insurance required in case of property damage. Also, make sure you have everything you need bc it's not a quick, easy run if you forget something. This place was gorgeous and perfect for our family group. I loved, loved, loved the location because it was secluded, quiet and serene. The view was beautiful and I would go back again with plans to stay longer. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great stay. Overall it was clean and as advertised. Could use a little TLC to bring it to its full potential (light bulbs out, kitchen stools are worn out, some cobwebs, air hockey table broken…), but we had a great time and enjoyed the cabin.

It was very easy renting and getting there(some will have a hard time with the driveway). Overall was a good Experience......... but there are multiple things that need to be fixed on this property. I don't feel whoever has taken care of this property is doing their job at all other than cleaning. There were several things broke many lights that were burnt out and the yard was very overgrown. We had a great time and it was nice..... we were just disappointed with all the things we found wrong, broken, or needing replaced and the view isn't as good as the pictures.

It really is heavens peak. Definitely need a 4x4. We drove 2 wheel drive and it was horrible the road either had lots of gravel. No gravel at all and just dirt. Sharp turns going up. The view and area was wonderful. Beautiful place. It a matter of getting there. Had kitchen utensils. The hot tub was wonderful. Great time. It was the drive for me. Luckily I have my husband to drive.

We had a wonderful time up there. Be prepared for the road up, but the setting is beautiful and worth the trip for a great weekend getaway with friends.

The house and the view are absolutely spectacular! You can see the stars so clear on the porch. It’s a quick and absolutely beautiful drive to Gatlinburg for a day trip. The wrap around porch did create a wind tunnel but the view was worth it. That being said, the drive up is not for the faint of heart. We drove up in a Z71 Tahoe and it was my first time driving something like that. 4WD is recommended. You can make it up but it is steep in places. Also when google map says you’re there, keep going and follow the rest of the owners instructions. We loved this place, it’s amazingly peaceful and absolutely gorgeous.

This Mountain house was beautiful even though we didn't expect SNOW! Very cozy, clean, and well organized environment. Thank you for the cause to pause information for driving up the mountain which was a roller coaster of interesting. Gorgeous views t all times of the day!

We had such a great time. It was quiet and peaceful and the perfect getaway for our family.

This cabin had everything we needed, was very far from man in road and the drive up was not as challenging as mentioned in other reviews but it’s definitely a long way up, rocky road, no gaurd rails. Be sure you have a reliable vehicle. Couches are not comfortable and air hockey table had no pucks. Water takes awhile to heat up With little water pressure. Hot tub takes quite awhile to get hot enough to really enjoy. Beds pretty comfortable. Bathroom and kitchen and beds were clean but floors could use some work. Overall we really enjoyed the experience and the views are phenomenal!

House was in a beautiful location. The road was not for the faint of heart as others have mentioned but 2 moms in minivans were able to tackle it- like most things in life. House was well equipped and clean. Hot tub was a huge hit! Good location for families looking for a polar express mountain weekend. Be aware that the roads are not well marked and neighbors do not appear friendly. Removing your trash from the property was also a big pain.

Really enjoyed everything about this house. Very comfortable beds, everything you need for cooking, and the view is beautiful. I only took a star off for two small things. First, the hot tub seemed alittle dirty and the climb up the mountain was a bit tricky in the dark. Would love to stay here again.

The property is nestled on top of a mountain with amazing views all around. Lots of privacy and quite. The house itself was clean and newly remodeled/ built with all the aminities. The few downsides are that: 1. The property is not easily to access. The approach in through a long gravel road up the mountain so you definitely need a 4X4 to reach anything else and you are taking a big risk. Access to local attractions also takes time. 2. The Hot tub was not clean. There was grey water with muck stuck to the sides.. 3. Neighbors didn't seem that friendly.. we didn't meet many but the few we met were clearly not happy to see us. 4. There are cameras all around the property that we were not informed about. Just felt that we are being watched all the time. If you are the type to ignore all these issues, the breath taking views and comfortable living spaces will ensure you have a nice relaxing vacation.

If you are looking for tranquility, Heaven's Peak is the place to go. Yes, the road to get up to it is challenging, but worth it. The road itself is not all terrible. Though there are certain spots, near the top, where a 4WD would benefit, we managed to get up to it in a standard Kia Sorento. The roughest spot is past a little red cabin that is fenced in. The issue is you can tell other vehicle have spin their wheels where the road is no longer pure gravel and smooth. If someone would smooth it out or fill in in with rocks, it would be so treacherous. Overall, the hot tub overlooking the mountains is worth it.

My husband and mother stayed here for a couple days for my moms birthday! It was a surprise to her, she cried when we made it to the top! The views were absolutely breathtaking, you get 360 degrees of mountains. It really is “Heavens Peak.” We will definitely book another trip here!

Two families (8 in total) met for a few days of Smokey Mountain fun. The cabin is as described, which is to say, very nice offering incredible views with a variety of amenities. As others have described, the road to get to the cabin is very rough, but we expected that and managed with no issues. Our problems were more on the basics. As I stated there were 8 total guests and we found only 6 bath towels and two washcloths in the entire place…no hand towels, no kitchen towels, no towels for the hot tub. I get it that this is a remote cabin in the woods, but Its advertised to sleep considerably more than 6. I found this to be ridiculous. The pictures showed a nice looking grill, however once I opened the lid, it was disgusting and took me a good 30 minutes trying to clean it enough to be used (and there was no lighter to get it going)! The pictures also showed a nice fire pit, however the walk down to it is only partially completed with stone steps and it’s a tricky walk, not something I’d encourage anyone with mobility issues. But even the fire pit could use some TLC, we found it with half burned logs and enough ash that it nearly overflowed the rock edges of the pit. Inside we found a freezer with some sort of muck around it, and dead bugs around a vent near the dining table and in the oven drawer. Again, this is a cabin in the woods, so bugs are part of life, but It was clear they hadn’t spent the $155 cleaning fee on ensuring the cabin was freshly cleaned (or the cleaning crew should be fired). There was no dishwasher detergent and the hand soap provided was watered down! Lastly, you must be prepared to remove your trash with you. I just felt this could be either explained in the listing or be allowed to fill one large trash can and anything more was on us, I just feel this should be handled with the cleaning fee as I didn’t want to be dealing with my trash in an SUV for the 40 minute drive to the dump. In the end, this cabin has great potential, and I really hope the owner takes my feedback to heart…with just a few hundred dollars in expenses and a little better attention to detail, this place could be a grade A vacation rental.

Heaven’s Peak is a beautiful place to stay at but you will be faced with a few challenges. The most significant one is the road that takes you there. It’s not for the faint of heart! You should drive a 4x4 vehicle to get up and down the mountain. There are very steep and narrow spots, all gravel. Pack all your groceries before getting there, unless you want to drive more than 40 minutes to get to a store. Bugs are an issue if you want to enjoy the deck. We had to call for a bee colony to be taken care of. Access to the sauna it’s not included in the price you pay at front. The jacuzzi is not the cleanest. Therefore, it didn’t encourage me to use it but, my children did. If you travel with a big family, bring extra towels and toilet paper. Not enough was was provided for our family of 8. In addition, you will need to carry your own trash to a dumpster about 30 minutes away from the cabin, which we find outrageous if they’re charging a cleaning fee. Nevertheless, if you’re adventurous, need a serene place to get away an relax and don’t mind the difficult road and bugs, enjoy! Heaven’s peak is beautiful place with a beautiful view.

This house was exactly as described. Perfect getaway for our family vacation to the Smokey's. Plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out and come together. Breath taking views abound, it truly was a relaxing oasis. Comfy beds, well appointed kitchen. The drive up the mountain was an adventure of switchbacks and twists and turns on a well maintained gravel road, definitely worth the trek! Heaven's Peak was a great base camp for us for the week.

This mountain house was definitely remote and that was just what I was hoping for on this getaway. I was grateful for 4 wheel drive for sure. The house itself was lovely and comfortable and being able to sit in the hot tub at the end of the day and watch the sunset was wonderful.
