We stayed at the villa for a week with three small children and had a great experience. My husband and I have been to Carvoeiro a few times previously and this was the first time we had been back since we've had children (twins age 4 and 3 year old). This was a perfect family villa. The place was spectacular (as seen in the pictures) the villa was well laid out for small children, being all on the one level with two bedrooms close to each other and one on the other side of the hall way. The outside was perfect too - the steps down the pool meant the kids could access easily and paddle their feet or swim , and there was a lockable gate into the garden which featured a great side and swing set! We hired a car to get into town or the beach, but it was also quick and easy to get an Uber (within ten minuted of ordering). A maid came twice a week, and we were also visited by the gardening team and the pool cleaner twice, showing the care made to the property. Will definitely be returning - a perfect place to stay!

The villa is a great place to spend a family break. Beautiful views, quiet location and very well-equipped. The property managers (Stefanie and David) are very helpful and always respond very quickly to any query or request. Our third time staying here and will definitely be back again.

We had a great holiday in Carvoeiro. The villa is in a good location, a short walk to lots of restaurants and the beach etc. It’s is hilly though and exhausting in the heat! The villa was very clean with plenty of kitchen utensils and crockery. We only had a couple of small issues - it was quite windy and so there were always lots of leaves and flower petals in the pool (could do with a cover) and the oven did not work well.

A fantastic villa- ideal for families! A beautiful villa in a quiet residential street. Well equipped to cater for a family's needs. Close proximity to Carvoeiro and local amenities/ supermarkets. The cleanest villa I've stayed in! Property managers are extremely helpful. Highly recommend. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing property, with extensive garden. Spectacular sea view & pool area. Ideally situated for either a relaxing villa stay or visits to several nearby beaches. Carvoeiro town is a 20 minute walk ( taxi ride back due to the hill) Ideal place in which to celebrate a special anniversary.

We really enjoyed staying at Villa Bouganvila. It is well laid out and an easy walk into town (coming back is uphill so got a taxi). Very quiet area.

The property was everything we wanted it to be and more and we really enoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. The owner and David were exceptional and their response even when we had a late nigt emergency was outstanding. We will hoprefully return.

Adorei a casa, muito bem equipada com tudo o que é necessário para umas ótimas férias em família. Local calmo e sucegado mas ao mesmo tempo próximo de tudo. Conseguimos aliar praia e campo num só. Adorei o jardim envolvente com árvores de fruto. Recomendo.

Não podíamos ter escolhido melhor, pois trata-se de uma moradia excepcional com tudo o que seria necessário para passar uma excelente estadia de férias. A moradia, tinha de tudo o que era necessária para o apoio ao nosso bem estar e acumular o facto de ter churrasqueira no exterior, ao qual tiramos bastante partido, para os vários jantares feitos na casa, quer a agradável piscina particular, com toda a restante zona envolvente a esta e zona periférica de um jardim com imensas árvores de fruto. Para além de todo o restante espaço da moradia, especial atenção para a mesa do pátio virado para a piscina, onde foram tomados os pequenos almoços, alguns almoços e jantares, com vistas para o mat, assim como o pátio da cobertura plana da moradia, do qual era possível de ficarmos maravilhados com as vistas excelentes em volta da casa, assim como do mar e do pôr do sol. A moradia está bastante bem situada e foi sempre da melhor forma acompanhada a nossa estadia, pela equipa, "Borboleta", de gestão do aluguer e manutenção do espaço. A repetir num futuro próximo, caso tal venha a ser possível, tal como foi, neste ano...

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Casa Buganvila. We loved the location and great outdoor space. The villa is very well equipped and provides plenty of space. We look forward to visiting again.

The villa is in the perfect spot. Very quiet, with views out the ocean, but only 20 mins walk into the village centre. The villa is spacious, and the pool is stunning. It's ideal for a group of up to 6 people. Palmeiras restaurant is only a 10 min walk and ideal for a casual meal. They specialise in Piri Piri Chicken which is great, almost as good as the chicken in Guia! It's not super modern, but that didn't bother us. The walk along the boardwalk from Algar Seco is only 15-20 mins but just gorgeous. We would consider renting this villa again.

Propriedade excelente para usufruir de um período de descanso em família, ou com amigos. A propriedade dispõe de uma ampla zona verde, muito bem cuidada e convidativa a jogos ou simplesmente para relaxar. A piscina tem boas dimensões e a qualidade da água e a sua manutenção é feita regularmente - em oito dias verificou-se por 2 vezes a visita do técnico. O enquadramento paisagístico é muito agradável. A casa está bem equipada, disponibilizando ainda muitos jogos, para famílias com filhos de tenra idade. Deixo apenas um reparo ao nível do equipamento, nota-se a falta de um lava loiças de apoio à zona do churrasco. A limpeza da habitação, embora não comprometa a segurança ou usufruto do espaço, deveria ser mais cuidada - havia pó acumulado debaixo dos sofás e teias em suspensão. em alguns candeeiros. Por fim, a localização da propriedade é excelente, pois está perto do centro do Carvoeiro e das belíssimas praia da região, bem como a restaurantes e a supermercados. Em resumo recomendo e só não tem classificação mais elevada, pela falha apontada.

Als Erstes ist die makellose Sauberkeit zu nennen. Die Eigentümer haben sich sehr viel Mühe gegen, alles ordentlich herzurichten. Die Villa hat Charme und besticht durch den großen, sauberen Pool und das tolle Gartengrundstück. Allein die vielen unterschiedlichen Pflanzen sind einen Spaziergang im Garten wert. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Besonders gefallen hat uns auch die Garage, in die wir unser Auto stellen konnten. Es gab überhaupt keine Probleme. Die Lage ist ruhig. Portimao und die Strände sind schnell zu erreichen. Wir empfehlen im Sommer die Klimaanlagenoption zu wählen, auch wenn wir sie kaum eingeschaltet haben. Wir würden gerne wieder kommen.

Everything that we needed

Bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich von einem Mitarbeiter in Empfang genommen, der uns die Villa zeigte. Wir sind Dienstagabend angekommen und fanden es sehr zuvorkommend, dass der Kühlschrank bereits mit Tomaten, Orangen, Wurst, Käse, Milch, Wasser gefüllt waren. Selbst an Brötchen hat man gedacht. Exzellent! Die geräumige und hochwertig eingerichtet Villa ist einfach traumhaft! Man merkt, dass sich der Eigentümer viele Gedanken um das Mobiliar gemacht hat. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, selbst eine Saftpresse ist vorhanden. Ein weiteres Highlight ist der große Pool, den wir häufig genutzt haben. Dieser wird sogar regelmäßig von einem Poolboy gereinigt, genauso wie das Haus, um das sich zwei ganz nette Hausmädchen kümmerten - wechsel der Handtücher inklusive. Das nächste Highlight ist das Grundstück mit dem wunderschönen Garten, der selbst mit einem Zitronenbaum aufwarten kann. Eine ruhige Gegend, mit Blick auf das Meer von der riesigen Dachterrasse, runden den Gesamteindruck perfekt ab. Absolut empfehlenswert!

This was our third visit to Carvoeiro but our first stay at Casa Buganvila. The villa and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The villa is spacious and very well equipped with plenty of outdoor seating and a generous sized pool. For us the area is perfect, nice and private in a residential area but not too far to restaurant hill. Our twice daily walk into the centre of Carvoeiro and back justified all the ice cream and cake! We hope to return to such a fabulous villa.

Everything we could have wished for. Beautifull location great views and lovely sunsets from the terrace. Quiet location with easy reach of the village and local attractions. Toll ausgestattetes Haus mit großem Pool in ruhiger Wohngegend. In der Nähe sind schöne Strände und Restaurants. Die Verwalter haben sich wirklich toll um alles gekümmert.

We have just returned from our fourth holiday at Casa Buganvila and, unusually, we would like to write a review for the benefit of others. This is a lovely traditional villa set in extensive well tended grounds and we are already booked for our next holiday! All three double bedrooms, plus the generous lounge open directly, via sliding patio doors with security shutters and fly screens (we haven't had mosi problems!), onto the large, covered, south facing terrace, which is ideal for outdoor dining and pre-dinner drinks. This terrace gives direct access to the enormous pool and pool terrace, ideal for swimming, sunbathing (beds all provided), barbecuing (built in bbq) and built-in alfresco dining. There are extensive views to the sea on this sunny, private, south facing pool terrace. There is a good sized, well equipped kitchen, two full bathrooms (both with bath and over-bath showers), and a substantial dining hall which gives access to an enclosed, sheltered, patio, which, in itself, gives access to a large roof terrace. There is also a garage with electric door to keep your car cool. The villa details as provided by the very helpful agents, Borboleta, are comprehensive and all equipment is in good order - if you have problems, they will sort it out! The photographs on the HomeAway site are also genuine and reflect accurately on the property. Other issues, which should be kept in fair proportion are; 1. The location of the villa is great for us but you may find the walk to "restaurant hill" a little far (particularly if it's a bit warm!) and a rental car or taxi (which are plentiful and relatively cheap) might prove more practical. Incidentally, there are many good quality restaurants in the town - we particularly like A Marisqueiro (great bbq fish! and next door to the friendly Accordian sports bar!), Algarvia and Maxime - but you will no doubt find your own favourites! 2. TV and entertainment equipment in the villa is quite good but we would prefer more English TV channels, particularly for sport (having said that, we don't go there to watch tele!). 3. Depending upon time of year and prevailing temperatures, the villa is normally cool and comfortable (particularly if there is the usual light Atlantic breeze!). However, maybe for a villa of this quality and size, the installed air con, or part air con should be included in the price and not provided as an additional extra. What a find! Casa Buganvila is every bit as lovely as the photographs and description suggest - if anything even better. It is spacious both inside and out and is very comfortably furnished. We breakfasted each morning on the delightful veranda and on those evenings when we dined in we did so in the comfort of the dining room. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped with absolutely everything you might need. The garden grounds are extensive and beautifully planted and the swimming pool, whilst unheated, is sizeable and inviting. The maid service was superb - the ladies friendly and very efficient but not the least bit intrusive. Similarly the gentleman who came to tend the swimming pool. The Borboleta property management team were exceptionally professional, helpful and responsive (the information pack for the villa was missing when we arrived but the internet password was sent by text to us within minutes and a replacement pack delivered early the next day). Whilst we had no problems during our holiday it was comforting to know that the Borbeleta team were on hand to assist with anything if we did. The owners of the villa have made the property a home from home and sought to ensure that every comfort is provided. A card welcoming us to the villa, signed by the owners was a very nice and thoughtful touch, as was the provision of some food (milk, cheese, ham, bread, jam, juice, eggs) to get us started until we had time to find our bearings and settle in. The villa is located in a very attractive residential area with views across Carvoeira to the sea, with fantastic sunsets to be seen. It is within very easy walking distance of the nearest restaurant - Martin's Kulinarium, which we recommend - and within reasonable walking distance of all the restaurants and facilities of Carvoiera itself. We ate at two other restaurants in Carvoiera (A Rede and Prima Vera, both of which provided meals of good quality ). Supermarkets are within a short driving distance and we found the Intermarche supermarket provided a fairly extensive range of goods and excellent customer service. We so enjoyed our first stay at Casa Buganvila that we are planning to return there early next year - and this time for a month not just a week. We wholeheartedly recommend this villa.

Wir haben einen tollen Familienurlaub in der Casa Bouganvila verbracht. Das Anwesen war sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles tiptop sauber. Unsere Kinder (4 Jahre und 7 Jahre) liebten vor allem den Pool. Wir haben uns häufig Abends selbst versorgt und dabei die umfassende Ausstattung der Küche sehr geschätzt. Einen Holzkohlegrill gab es draußen auch, Kohle dafür haben wir im Supermarkt gekauft. Abends haben wir häufig auf der wunderschönen überdachten Terrasse gesessen und konnten den Blick auf das Meer geniessen. Der Garten ist riesig und war prima für unsere Kinder zum Toben und Ball spielen. Ein kleiner Spielplatz im Garten (Spielturm mit Rutsche und Schaukel) kam auch gut an. Eine Putzfrau kam zweimal in der Woche, das hat auch völig gereicht.

This is a beautiful villa and easily lived up to our expectations. The villa is large with a good sized pool and lovely gardens surrounding it. We had two children with us, a ten year old and a 1 year old and they loved it. Mosquitos were a problem but doors could be left open all night because of the sliding mosquito mesh attached to all the doors, very useful!.Air con is available at extra cost if required but we didnt find it too hot in June, it was lovely. It was our first villa holiday as a family (Grandparents came too) and we would definitely return and recommend to other families or couples. The beach is within walking distance, roughly 20-25min and is a bit hilly. We would recommend hiring a car for lovely drives in the area and also trips to the well stocked supermarket which is too far to walk. We arrived late on our first day and the hosts thoughtfully left some food supplies such as milk, bread, etc. If you are thinking of renting this villa, dont hesitate, just book it!. Its beautiful and we had a wonderful stay here.

This is a fantastic villa in a stunning location,its wellaway from the crowded beaches and high rise appartments that are available a bit further up the coast.The villa its lf was immaculate and extremely large!!!!! My 2 children had a ball in the pool which is just outside the back door!!!! You really need a acar to get around as the villa is a fair walk to the town centre.We had a fab holiday there and would recommend this place to any one without hesistation.
