Our 12 person group really enjoyed our time at Vista de la Luz. The location and views from this property were amazing. The infinity pool and private dock were key differentiators. Beyond the beautiful property, the staff at Vista made the stay exceptionally memorable. Thanks to Ron and his professional staff for a wonderful stay.

Absolutely fabulous!! Everything about the stay was amazing! The daily breakfast and the service was delicious & perfect. Gabriel and the staff were so nice. The view, the pool, and the walkway down to the water... magnificent! We would definitely book this property again in the future!

Our families really enjoyed our stay at Vista De La Luz. There were 12 total in our party and we had plenty of room for our group. The included breakfast was great and it was nice that the main dining table was large enough to accommodate our entire group. We also liked the location. It is the quieter part of the island, but there are several restaurants a short distance away and grocery stores 10 minutes or less on the golf carts. We also enjoyed drinks and a few lunches at the beach club adjacent to the property.

Six couples enjoyed four nights at this home. Some of us arrived by boat directly to the dock. Others ferried over and took a cab. The home had plenty of space for us all. We loved the breakfasts served daily. We swam directly off the dock, enjoyed tacos and snacks from the beach club next door. We loved our time here and made great memories for a 50th birthday.

We had an excellent stay at Vista De La Luz. The views are amazing from the pool and the morning breakfast was a highlight. Great for a group of adults or a family. Felt like we had a private hotel to ourselves. We would definitely come back.

We had a group of 10 of us our family and friends. The house is amazing - has to be one of the top properties on the island. Every bedroom has a patio overlooking the water. Rueben, Victoria and Marie prepared the best breakfasts everyday as well as cleaning each day. The pool, dock on the water and views are unsurpassed. The sunsets each day are breath taking. Gabriel did a great job coordinating golf carts and anything else we needed. We all gave this place 5 plus stars. We can’t wait to return.

The property is located on the southwest end of the island, which is much calmer and gave us breathtaking views of the Cancun skyline. We arrive by water at the home's private dock (Arranged by Javier at AGI Tours). What a glorious arrival. Pictures do not do it justice. The home was magnificent. Luxury on every level. The common areas, as well as the outdoor spaces and bedrooms, were furnished with quality and comfort. One thing I always look for in a vacation home is the seating for meals. We are a family of 10, so finding a home that can seat us all together is sometimes a trick. But the main dining table not only fit my entire family it was an architectural focal point in the open concept kitchen/dining room. The photos online do not due this area justice either! This property was the perfect size for everyone to have their own amazing bathroom, with 2.5 extra bathrooms to spare. The home is located at the end of a street, so there was no extra traffic or noise. The house manager was fantastic, he checked on us daily and even arranged for the golf carts we rented to be at the house when we arrived. Highly recommend reserving your carts early as well, the best way to get around the island. Having a thorough cleaning staff and delicious breakfast every morning was also such a treat as well. Can't imagine topping this property, location, and service. We just have to come back again next May! If you are considering this property, stop your search now and secure your dates!

Pros: - Amazing house layout and spectacular views - The beach club next door is a ton of fun and very convenient - House staff very nice and served great breakfast - HIGHLY recommend the chef services they suggest (the people that run the restaurant Fuego De Mar). They did a few amazing dinners for us. Cons: - Not the most helpful owners. Terse responses to questions leading up to the trip and zero contact made during the stay. - A ton of things in house looks like they've needed repairs/upgrades for years. A few examples: dishwasher doesn't work and was disgusting when we moved in, some of the lights in the pool give you a small shock if you touch them, upstairs fountain is broke and has standing water in it - Despite the daily cleaning there was a bad cockroach problem by the end of the week. Not sure if this is related to the demolition of the building going on next door or just a normal issue. Would recommend being very cautious about zip locking food etc. Overall we had a ton of fun. The island in general is amazing and the house location/scenery was great, but it needs some real attention.

I was on a girls trip for a friends 50th birthday. We we’re so excited to get away, relax and enjoy some tranquility. We pulled up to the house by boat so it was very impressive! The house definitely has a wow factor at first. There were 11 ladies in my group, so most of us shared a room. The room I had was upstairs on the 3rd floor. I thought all the rooms had a queen or a king but that was not the case. The 3rd floor had full beds so it was a bit of a disappointment. We arrived on a Sunday and first thing we did was hit the pool. The outside was really magical! The veranda overlooking the infinity pool, which looked out to the gorgeous waters, really was the highlight. That was until Monday morning… I woke up to jackhammers and a construction crew next door at 7:15am. The jackhammers didn’t stop until 5pm the entire trip. Everyday until we left jackhammers and construction debris in the pool with dust everywhere. It was terrible! I contacted Ron, the manager, and he explained that that construction must have just started the day we got there. That the hotel next door was abandoned for nine years until the day we arrived. I found that hard to believe. If we would have known this information, we would never had rented the house!!! Besides the noise all day the staff was wonderful! They cooked a lovely breakfast every morning, cleaned the house and tidy up our rooms. Gabriel was especially great! He rented us golf carts and refilled them with gas. If we needed anything he was there to help. We tried to make the best of the trip even with the loud noises all day. I would be very aware that the construction is not going away any time soon.

Love the privacy, quality of the house. Location is very good specially if you like the ocean (snorkeling)

The house was amazing. I could have stayed in the infinity pool and just gazed at the view the entire trip. The staff prepared a great breakfast in the mornings - we really enjoyed our stay.

It was a great trip with family and friends! The staff was very attentive and the daily breakfast was fabulous! The location is beautiful with Kin Ha next door for those who need a few water activities. We will definitely consider this rents again!

Stayed here for a week with family & friends. Everything was awesome. Staff was great. Awesome views and great location. We were worried about the restaurant bar next door and the music all day long but it wasn’t bad and kind of enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again

We all loved the house. It was very spacious for a large group. We found it well appointed and furnished nicely. I am sure we will be back!

Everything was as listed in the description. After seeing a lot of the homes while we were there i would say this house is in the top 5 on the island. The entrance will blow you away when you first pull up and open the gate. Very secure. has its own tiny beach and dock. Great for evening swims and sunset dinning. The owner and his property manager were great. The morning breakfast was over the top. We even hired them to come back to cook a few dinners. The house is broken up by floors so you can have family's on each floor and makes a good separation. Only issues i had and these are small, is WIFI is spotty in house. Also only one TV in the house. I know we were on vacation but I like TV for the news in the morning and to go to bed at night. We survived. I would suggest at least putting smart TV's in bedrooms so that Kids could be more entertained in the evenings and so i could get my news and sports. Island is great, a lot to do. We chartered a boat, did some snorkeling. Not a lot of sea life in this area, ( not the fault of the rental) just the island.... Local food was great. You have to spend the extra money to rent golf carts but not too bad. We would go back for sure.

Spectacular views and great house overall, but in need of some minor updating considering the rent. Staff was very attentive, but we kept having mechanical and plumbing issues, even though the staff was very prompt in getting them fixed. Not as private as we had assumed being situated next to a water venue and restaurant with live music, even though it was convenient being able to eat next door. We’d rent it again if we had a big crowd.

What a beautiful property with everything we needed. We are a diving family, and used the gold cars to get to the scuba shop each day, although they did pick us up at the dock in front of the Kinha restaurant a few times. Speaking of Kinha, the fact it is next door made our trip even better, as it allowed us to set or get drinks without traveling. The staff there was incredible, showing up at just the right time each day, but never seeming like they were in the way. Breakfast was served every day for all of us, and they didn't bore us with the same menu each morning. Ron, the manager, was always available when needed and without delay. The grill wasn't working properly, but was fixed while we were there. If we ever come back to Isla Majeres, this is where we are staying!

We spent 7 glorious days at Vista de la luz. The staff was attentive, Ron & Mel set up golf cart rentals, massages for our stay & made sure everything was perfect. We traveled with 5 other couples and couldn’t have asked for a better set up. Everyone had privacy & beautiful views as well. We will definitely be back!!

We stayed at Villa De La Luz for my husband’s 40th Bday trip w friends and loved every minute! The staff was wonderful- helpful and courteous. The views can’t be beat, the home itself is clean, big, and beautifully decorated. We did not want to leave!! We only left to go down to the pier/ocean and to make grocery store runs. We were so happy being there w the cook and bartender! (We hired those separately). Ron was easy to work with and we are all still talking about the trip and how perfect it was. Would highly recommend!

We had a delightful time. Even with heavy rains we were still able to enjoy the outdoors. In fact there was no place we would have rather been during inclement weather. When we eventually got sunshine the poolside was paradise. We snorkled off the pier and even brought up an octopus in a conch shell by mistake! Next door we utilized their water sports equipment. Our guests had an amazing time. The staff was terrific. Breakfast was delicious. Gabrielle was very helpful.

We had an awesome vacation. The house is laid out perfectly for multiple families/couples. We had 6 couples and everyone had their own private room with full bath. The pool and patio area will make you not want to leave the house. Gabrielle and his staff took great care of us! There is a restaurant/pool next door that plays music most of the day, but it never really bothered us. I highly recommend Vista De La Luz, and hope to return myself sometime in the future.

Five couples rented this home for a long weekend get-away, and we had a blast. The rooms were big and gave us plenty of privacy, the staff was very good, and we spent every afternoon hanging out at the great pool with the fabulous view. Location on the island was not bad at all, it was an easy taxi ride to the north end or a short golf cart ride to the La Gloria neighborhood or to the south end. Overall, highly recommended.

We had 3 families stay for our spring break that included 5 children and 7 adults. I can't say enough positive comments about the accommodations or the service Ron and Mel provide. Having traveled to Mexico and Isla many times this is the first time everything went off without any issues. Ron recommended transportation to/from the airport check, golf carts waiting at the Villa check, best house on the island check! The house is in perfect condition and every suite has an awesome view of the sea. There is enough space for everyone to spread out, the kids loved the pool which is one of the largest on the island. The outdoor space is phenomenal with enough seating for everyone to relax. One of our party locked themselves out of their room and Ron had someone there immediately to assist in opening the room. The breakfasts were always wonderful and the staff was very accommodating making the kids items they liked. Overall we had a great time and cannot say enough positive comments on the house or management staff thanks for a wonderful vacation and we'll be back!

My husband and I were part of a large group of friends celebrating a very special 50th birthday. There were 12 of us and this house accommodated all of us very comfortably. All rooms had beautiful private baths and plenty of closet space. I guess maybe too much closet space because I left a drawer full of clothes in the closet. I emailed Mel Herrman and she was very responsive and sent the staff to the house and retrieved the clothing right away. It's not easy to ship to the states from Isla. I can't say enough nice things about Mel to express my appreciation. She ensured that I received my clothing and shipped them at her expense!! Thanks again Mel! Now, back to the house.....in a word, spectacular. The views are breathtaking! Plenty of room for 12. The staff was excellent. Our hostess requested a chef to cook breakfast and a couple of other meals. Mel sent us an angel. Let's just say that Becky, our chef, blew us away with each meal. The presentation was beautiful, the taste devine. Overall, one of the best vacations we've ever had. All of us just hung out in the infinity edge pool pinching ourselves to be in this beautiful place together. I would highly recommend this property and the superb management team.

We rented this house for my husband's 50th birthday celebration in September 2016. We hosted 5 other couples and everyone raved about the house the entire time. Ron and Mel were so great to work with and helped me plan the entire trip. They recommended restaurants and helped me with the reservation for a special birthday dinner, helped me coordinate the golf cars to have at the house and recommended a caterer who did an amazing job (shout out to Becky!). Every room had it's own private bath and all rooms except for the one on the main floor had amazing views of ocean. We spent most days in the infinity edge pool overlooking the Caribbean and even snorkeled right at the house. Everyone had a great time and thought the house was beautiful. The staff came and prepared breakfast each day and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. If I have an opportunity to plan another trip to Isla, I would definitely consider staying at this home again. Many of the couples commented that it was one of the best vacations they had been on. Loved it!

I could not recommend this house more. The staff was amazing with everything leading up to the planning through our stay. They helped coordinate a fishing trip which was the highlight of the trip for several of us. Anytime, we had a question or a concern it is was quickly addressed and resolved. The pictures of the house and the view do not it justice. We would happily stay there again next year.

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING trip! There were 4 couples in our group and we had more than enough space in this beautiful home. The pictures don't do this home justice. From the moment you walk through the front door and see that beautiful view and turquoise water you will absolutely be in love. Never knew something could be so beautiful. I think I actually pinched myself because I thought I was dreaming..haha! And how cool is it that you travel the island by golf carts!? True paradise.. The staff was totally amazing as well. They made us feel right at home and prepared us a wonderful Mexican breakfast each morning. We even had someone traveling in our group that is gluten free and they made special accommodations just for her. They cleaned the house and our rooms daily, did laundry for us, had fresh towels in our rooms everyday and Javier even went grocery shopping for us. We were treated like kings and queens and left VDLL with 3 new friends. The house and staff were all completely amazing and we would absolutely return. The 1 and only downfall of this home for us was it's location. It's about a 15 min golf cart ride each way into town. We hit the beach and downtown usually twice a day so that was a lot of time spent going back and forth for us but the view made up for that :) Can't wait to return to VDLL!

Vista De La Luz is absolutely amazing. The pictures are beautiful, as you can see, but once you physically open the iron gates to the villa, it's breathtaking. There are know pictures that can describe the feeling you get from such an exquisite view. The grounds are well manicured with tropical plants and trees. The interior was immaculate upon arrival and each morning thereafter. We had 10 adults in the home and we could have easily traveled with 4 more comfortably. No one felt as if they had a lesser room. The bathrooms were large and spacious. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Each room was it's own oasis. Each morning we woke up to a delicious breakfast from a great staff who always had a smile on their face. They kept the villa clean and sanitized. Each evening always ended with laughter and joy while sitting around or in the pool. If there are any tension among family members or friends while traveling, this villa has a way of making all problems disappear. The location of the villa is excellent because it's off the main road on a private culdesac. The attraction near the property is zip lining, snorkeling, souvenir shops, and restaurants. The only downfall of this villa is that I had to leave.

Since the moment we arrived and stepped into the villa the view of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean took our breath away. The fantastic location of this home is unbeatable, private pier, little private beach, best views of CANCUN, el Garrafon and the island. The home seems brand new, you can tell there is a lot of care and maintenance into every area of the home...this is a BIG home!! We looked at many homes in Isla for this vacation, it is very important that you are located looking at the CANCUN - ISLA MUJERES bay, there are many homes on the other side (Caribbean and view is not as nice). CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST IS A SUPER PLUS!! Staff was very friendly, 2 maids every day, they even did our laundry. Did a scuba diving excursion and the boat picked us up right at the pier and dropped us off the same way...that was fantastic...we jumped right into the large infinity pool right after that!! We cannot wait to come back...this is the way to go!!

Great house and staff is wonderful. Great breakfast everyday and house is new. Lots of space for a lot of people and u never feel crowed. All bedrooms had a bath and most had a view. We rented golf carts to get around. My only disappoinred was that in march pool not heated and would of been nice for kids, it was a little cool.
