The perfect little oasis in Northridge/Sherwood Forest. This is the most well-equipped place you will find. It is a stand-alone pool house behind the main house with a large pool in between. BBQ, flat screen TV's, gated entry and comfortable accommodations. Would definitely stay here again. Phillip and Kathy were the perfect hosts.

I didn't want to leave! I loved everything about this property and we enjoyed every minute. Just wished we had more days to stay there. Kathy is A+++ super host and so thoughtful, kind, generous, detailed, and organized. I love her taste in decor. We chose this property based on the reviews and it is exactly as everyone says. What a wonderful place to stay ! We’ve had the warmest welcome, sodas & wine in the fridge, snacks & all kinds of supplies are all complimentary. So no need to rush to the store when you arrive. The pool and jacuzzi, the backyard, the patio, ... everything is so nicely decorated and just a great place to hang out together as a family or with friends. The location is also perfect : easy to reach, safe & secure parking, perfect for visiting Hollywood, Santa Monica, universal Studios, Griffith observatory, ... close to Burbank airport as well. And it’s a great place to hang out in case you don’t feel like driving around because this place has everything you need. Having a coffee in the morning by the pool, enjoying the birds singing, looking at the hummingbird and the squirrel (only saw it at 9 am :-) !) - what a great way of starting the day. Kathy gave us plenty of tips & tricks for visiting, restaurants, ... she’s a wonderful person and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED our stay (didn’t want to go home :-))

We loved our stay here. The pool house was so charming and we loved all the little touches to make it more inviting, all the complimentary items and even fresh flowers!!

What’s not to love about this place. Every picture posted and every description is accurate. We were 2 couples traveling together and this was a great location for our home base while we were in town for a wedding and visiting the L.A. area. Kathy and family are wonderful hosts. The pool house has everything one would need. They have it stocked with things in case you’ve forgotten anything or even need a snack. Many special touches have been made to make you feel comfortable. Two bedrooms with space to hang clothes or put in drawers. We utilized both since we were there for 8 nights. Also, very convenient was the washer and dryer. It was so nice to be able to go home with little dirty laundry. The kitchen is stocked with many things!! We found the inside to be very relaxing. The outside is more than relaxing. We had breakfast by the pool almost every morning, enjoyed swimming late morning, and then we would enjoy having a glass of wine while talking and listening to music by the pool at night. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We enjoyed the owners, their property, and their communication with you is top notch. All four of us highly recommend this property.

We stayed from July 9-14. Owners were nothing but nice and very helpful. The pool is beautiful! Great place to have a glass of wine in the evening by the firepit or a cup of coffee in the morning. They went above and beyond by supplying shampoo, soaps and many other toiletry items like a fine hotel. The bedrooms were a bit warm on the 95+ degree days and they were nice enough to bring extra fans out for us. Would definitely stay here again if ever in LA area again. Thanks Kathy and Phil for a wonderful stay!!

The pool house suited our needs just fine. The pool area was great and the hosts were accommodating and kind. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean.

We had a brief lovely stay and the owners were so helpful and friendly! Beautiful property and it had everything we needed and more! They had drinks and snacks that saved us from having to do a trip to the store. I also recommend Wood & Water restaurant about 20 minstrel away. Enjoy!

The property was beautiful and well kept. We felt safe being within a gated property. Even though we were close to the main house, it felt very private. The owners checked in often to see if there was anything we needed. We had a wonderful time staying at the pool house and would recommend it to anyone.

This was a very comfortable and welcoming poolside house. Nicely-maintained grounds with pleasant lighting and tasteful decorations. Kathy is a friendly and helpful host. The hot tub was amazing. Highly recommended!

We are just home from a wonderful stay at this property. It is very central in LA and is such a relaxing place to hang out after a long day in the city. The backyard area is lovely, so many seating spaces to relax in and the hot tub was a welcome treat almost every day of our vacation. The home is well set up. The beds were comfortable and the shower was powerful with as many towels and shampoos as you need. The owner is very generous in providing a ton of little things you might need while staying with them and I took advantage of a toothbrush and razor I had forgotten to pack, We cooked dinner and breakfast there most days and there were sufficient items in the kitchen to allow us to do this. We relaxed in the living room each night after returning home with plenty of sofa space and blankets to be cozy. Finally the owners were friendly and welcoming. They were close by in the main house and made themselves available if we needed them but otherwise left us to ourselves. While we were there, we visited the Hollywood sign, Universal Studios, Reagan library, Santa Monica, Brentwood and Westwood and all were possible within about 30 minutes drive, so very accessible.

We spent the holidays in this pool house. Being from Minnesota it was a real treat to have so much outdoor living space...lots of options to sit in the warm sun during the day, and warm up at night with fire tables everywhere. The house itself was very nice with every imaginable need met. If it wasn’t all you had to do was say so and Kathy would bring it right over. We were there during an unusually cold period. There is a heating and cooling unit in the living dining area, but Kathy brought over two standalone heaters, one for the bathroom and one for the bedroom. Made everything toasty! I mentioned toward the end of our stay that I had come down with a cold. She brought over a little steamer with some vapo-rub. Thanks Mom! Very comforting even though I couldn’t get the steamer to work. My bad. We typically stay in smaller vrbos while in LA, but his time we had our family Christmas here. Plenty of room for 4 people (3 sleeping there) to comfortably settle in. Highly recommend!

I don’t know where to begin but let me preface that this was our first time using this type of site. We stayed five nights over the Thanksgiving holiday visiting family in the immediate area. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the owner Kathy. We secured our parking spot and unloaded into the pool house. Take the word pool house totally out of the equation, this little villa is the size of most condos where I live (Boston) it’s perfectly appointed, roomy and very clean. You walk through the gardens and multiple seating areas past a beautiful pool and you are in the back of this family’s compound. You have zero street noise and you feel like you are in the burbs. Both bedrooms are very user friendly with comfortable beds, nice linens and lots of pillows. Ample closet space and drawers in both rooms. The bathroom is great if there are mobility issues as the shower is very roomy and floor level. The kitchen is modern and you are provided with every conceivable appliance, dish, bakeware that you could imagine and we took advantage of this for the holiday. All rooms have TVs and great cable. The icing on the cake however was the availability of literally anything you may have forgotten toiletry wise, and by anything I mean anything. She also leaves the kitchen stocked with all the condiments, breakfast items, tea/coffee, and snacks so you need not run to the store immediately. There were so many little extras I could not list them all. She checked with us a few times during our stay but otherwise we never felt like we were intruding in their life or ours, I will def be a returning guest and I’m grateful this family was my first experience in home share
