Such an amazing stay! Words cannot describe how great the place itself was and literally right across the street from the beach. Todd was a great host and his response time to any of our questions was so quick. This place has everything thing you need and being able to stay at this wonderful home was a privilege. For the area (Dana Point, CA.) this property is perfectly located, thoughtfully equipped, welcoming and clean. Having just completed a 6 week rental (Feb. 1-Mar. 15), we recommend it highly!

This condo is tucked away in the interior of the complex and is quiet and cozy. It is just a few minutes walk away from the scenic overlook of the ocean and 10 minute walk down to the beach. The condo is very nicely updated and is furnished with quality cookware and plenty of eating and cooking utensils. There was one repair that needed to be addressed when we checked in and Todd promptly responded. He was very easy to work with. What a peaceful and relaxing month we enjoyed at the Sand Dollar!

Todd was fantastic as a landlord. Rented the place for my parents for an extended period of time. They absolutely loved the rental. Todd was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed in VRBO properties in OR and S CA. Todd’s condo had a very well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms, a convenient laundry area, a comfy blue sofa and lovely beach decor. It’s also close to restaurants, Ralphs Market, Trader Joe’s and Costco. 3 coastal access areas are located across Selva Rd. One of them is up the hill with a path and stairs, the others have a combination of stairs and sidewalks. You can walk from the point to the end of Monarch Beach at low tide. At the end of Selva Road you may see whales spouting, breaching and fluking from the trail through the Nature Conservanay area on the way to the Visitor Center. Another coastal access paved path will take you back to the condos from Blue Lantern and PCH. Two restaurants on Blue Lantern overlook the harbor. You can walk to Lantern District restaurants from the condo or down the hill to the harbor. A few blocks from Blue Lantern through a lovely neighborhood there is access to another walk overlooking the harbor and a small park. We took the ferry to Catalina from Dana Point one weekend, toured the mission at Capistrano, went to Borrego Springs for the Super Bloom and drove to San Clemente to walk along the beach and out to the end of the pier. Laguna Beach is also nearby. You can find plenty to do in the area if it’s not a perfect beach day! Enjoy😎�

We just spent a great couple months at the Sand Dollar while our house was being renovated. The location is ideal for beach access and convenience — just a short walk to see beautiful sunsets. The condo is very comfortable and well equipped with anything you’d need during your stay. Todd was very attentive and quick to respond to all questions or issues.

My overall stay at the SandDollar Condo in Niguel Beach Terrace was AWESOME!!! This charming Condo offers all the amenties you need to live comfortably. The kitchen is so well stocked with nice high end cook wear and alot of kid friendly essentials. Stayed for nearly 6 months, booked again for next year. Short walk to the beach. Neighbors were quiet and friendly. Property was clean and recently renovated. Owner is easily accessible and prompt to address any concerns. The washing machine broke down during our stay and was replaced within a few days with a brand new unit. The owner went as far as to set us up with a paid account at a nearby laundromat, and provided us with a discount on our stay for the inconvenience. Conveniently located between Los Angeles and San Diego, making both locations drivable for a day trip. Absolutely would recommend it.

Newly renovated spacious 2bed 2bath condo with 2 small patios, one with table & chairs. Can sleep up to 8. Kitchen fully equipped with ample dishes, pots & pans. Lots of towels & beach equipment on hand. Beach short walk away, but would need to be able to walk down multiple stairs to access, we drove to more accessible beach nearby. We recommend this condo.

Nice condos, relaxing pool and spa, Great access to the ocean, quiet. Well situated for driving to Laguna Beach, Disneyland, San Diego and Los Angeles.

5 of us (3 adults/2 children)really enjoyed our stay at the Sand Dollar. Perfect location for beaches, restaurants, etc...Todd was always there to help us get settled in. Loved the pool too. Can't go wrong with this rental. I would stay there again!

We loved this condo. Great ground location. Quiet complex. Nice pool and hot tub. Grounds are impeccable. Walk to the beach in 2 minutes! Nicely furnished. Comfortable beds, nice bedding. Great kitchen with everything necessary for cooking. Washer and dryer. Two nice patios with grill. The location is close to all LA attractions, San Diego attractions, and everything in Orange County. My family wouldn't stay anywhere else. You shouldn't miss this great vacation rental! Todd is wonderful to work with and very responsive to all your travel needs. Two full baths with lots of towels. All the beach gear you could ever want or need is at your fingertips! Three TVs with great reception. We felt so "at home" in this condo that we didn't want to leave!

We had an amazing week at this beautiful condo. It is spacious and clean and you can tell it has been updated recently. Loved having the queen bed and bunk beds in the second room for our kids. Also loved that there was a tv in both bedrooms. Kitchen was well stocked and it was really nice to not have to bring our own beach towels, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc.... they were all provided. Todd was great to work with and we will hopefully be staying here again soon!

We were there in April this year (Sorry for the late review Todd :-)) coming from Alberta, Canada. Had everything we needed, used the beach toys and supplies, washer and dryer, kitchen, info packet and maps. It was our second trip to the area and that complex, which we have grown to love, and was awesome for our budget. The kids loved the bunk beds and it has a warm comfy feel so they felt right at home. Pool area is great, access to the beach is close and beautiful. The area is in the middle of all the attractions for the kids, easy drives to Disneyland, Sea World, Safari Park etc. Baby Beach, coffee, restaurants and harbor are a short walk and even shorter drive away. Todd was excellent to deal with and that made everything easy and stress free. Will definitely be back and as long as Todd has it we will be staying here again.

2 Adults and 5 children (ages 12 down to 1) ... perfect for our family! Comfortable beds, nice kitchen area. Quite condo complex area, nice walk to the beach, the pictures shown are just like the unit is. Unit located on lower level, close to the parking lot, short walk through parking lot to the community condo pool was great. Walk to the beach was great! And I used the unit supplied boogie boards, which worked really well, and the beach chairs and the beach umbrella (also from the unit). We try to come down to Southern California twice a year and this has become our # 1 location unit! Best value by far in a popular location in this area. Maybe I shouldn't be so positive ... because then others will take my desired week! All good... book it and you will have a great time!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sand Dollar at the end of June 2014. I was a bit apprehensive about using VRBO or HomeAway, since we have always stayed in hotels or resorts. It turned out that I had nothing to be nervous about. The Sand Dollar was even better than the pictures and description online and Todd, the owner, was very easy to work with and provided great suggestions of things the do in the area. The condo is conveniently located within walking distance of Strand Beach, which is breathtaking. We spent most of the week at the beach, with the exception of one day at Disneyland. The condo was well equipped and even had beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, a surfboard, a skim board and a cooler that we brought to the beach. The complex also has a nice pool. If you have not visited Dana Point, you should. I feel like it's a hidden gem among the OC beach towns. The harbor is so picturesque. We can't wait to return to Dana Point and the Sand Dollar!

property location awesome , views great we were on the beach for only 3 minutes and seen dolphins about 100 yards out jumping beautiful swimming beach not a lot of people but enough to make it fun. perfectly located between sea world and universal studios. the condo was very quiet, well stocked and everything looked new, even had beach toys, umbrellas and wake boards. Surrounding neighbor hood very nice. Could Not ask for anything more. Neighbors at condo even very nice. LOVED IT !!! We Will Be Back Thank You Very Much. Even has a washer and dryer in this unit.all pots,pans,dishes and linens weel stocked and looked new.

We stayed at the Sand Dollar for one week. My decision to stay at The Sand Dollar Condo was based on good reviews and location. It is a small comfortable condo. Most earlier reviews are accurate. The owner was very accommodating in expediting the contract process. However, I would like to add the followings based on my stay and experience : When we checked in the place smelled like someone had Salmon Fried for breakfast. I contacted the owner he asked to open the windows and if the smell does not disappear he will send the cleaning crew. I went out and bought odor eater spray which masked the fish smell. The owner has kindly reimbursed me for the cost of odor eater. The most annoying problem , thus the 3 stars , was the constant grinding fan noise from the mechanical equipment outside next to the second bedroom . I had this bedroom and the noise would wake me up several times during the night. It is not a problem during daytime. I informed the owner about this issue but did not get a response. The sound insulation between first and second floor is not that great, I could hear the second floor tenants as soon as they woke up in the morning. Other than that it is a nice small condo unit on the ground level
