The property is exactly like the pictures. Even though it's a basement apartment, it not dark at all. You can see it's been recently renovated, painted, etc. and well taken care of. The hosts left eggs, butter, milk and several slices of delicious cranberry bread in the fridge. What a nice touch!! We were visiting friends in Sunderland and this location was perfect for getting to their house plus it's near so many lovely towns and historic sites. We loved Puffers Pond. Would definitely come back to this place again.

It was just perfect for a stay in the Amherst area. Everything was clean and many advantages to staying in a hotel. Highly recommend.

Wonderful apt. Very clean with many amenities including breakfast food and snacks which added a nice touch. Was concerned about it being a basement apartment but hardly noticeable when you’re inside. This one is a keeper for sure. Thank you to the Kimballs for allowing us to enter early.

We were in town for a family celebration. The space allowed us to spread out and relax. The kitchen had everything we needed and the hosts left snacks in the fridge when we checked in. It’s clean, nicely appointed, and the beds were super comfortable.

The owners were lovely and provided all amenities you could think of in the house. Lovely stay!

The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We chose to sleep on the couch rather than the tiny room with a sheet curtain hiding the bulkhead stairs 😏

This is a lovely property that we enjoyed. There were toiletries left for us as well as wonderful snacks in the frige. We were just there for a weekend but had a great time here. Lee and Bill are great hosts!

Well appointed small apartment. The small quantity of food provided in the refrigerator upon arrival is a nice welcoming detail. Spacious and comfortable and quiet. Good amount of supplies in kitchen and bathroom. Close to downtown Amherst.

Everything was perfect! Only suggestion - I think the Keurig is on the blink. Coffee is watery. I googled it and I think the unit needs to be taken slightly apart so the 2 needles can be declogged. Thank you for this sweet place😊

We enjoyed our stay! The apartment is spacious and nicely designed. The kitchen had all we needed for our short stay but also would have allowed us to cook a regular meal had we wanted to. There is ample parking available. The property is quiet and perfectly located to hike around nearby Puffers Pond, Puffers Falls, and the Mill River Conservation Area. The television had cable with lots of channels to surf if desired. There is lots of dresser space if you want to unpack your clothes during your stay. Only possible criticism is the water pressure in the shower. It wasn't terribly powerful and the water temperature fluctuated a few times mid-shower. The bathroom was really nice though and these issues were easy to forgive!

We stayed only one night but this would be a good longer-term place. Lots of space and a good kitchen. Beds very comfortable (if you like soft). Clean, not too basementy even though it's a basement apartment. Nice hospitable touches.

The Property owners are very nice people. we did not have one problem. The property was quiet and close to everything. We ran into a few problems while moving our son into UMASS they were able to point us in the right direction. Thank you very much. Will definitely stay again when we can. We came into town from Michigan for a week to attend my mom’s celebration of life so our time was very busy with family and friends. It was amazing to have this perfect little place to relax and recharge between engagements. Lee & Bill are very responsive and made our stay worry-free and very comfortable! We will be back!

We were in the area visiting family and this was a great home base for us. The location was ideal as our family is in Shutesbury and we enjoyed walking down to Puffer's Pond and quick access to Shutesbury, Hadley, Northampton, and Amherst. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We will stay here again next summer if we can!

This place is downstairs and basement type living with small upper windows in the main bedroom. Clean. Owner was available for anything we needed. Kitchen is equipped with what you need to cook meals and a Keurig. Extra bedroom is small without windows but worked for my teenage daughter. Bathroom is spacious. Would stay here again when visiting UMass.

Cute basement apartment in north Amherst. The food in the fridge was a very nice and welcoming touch. We mistakenly left a few things in the fridge and Lee was very kind to figure out a way to get them to my daughter at Amherst. Thanks!

It's a nice, private basement apartment. The kitchen has good appliances, though the cookware was somewhat limited. It was mostly clean, though many of the dishes were dusty and there were a few spiders in the corners. The couch was comfortable and the TV was good. It's very close to Amherst and lots of good hiking and parks, thought the parking lot is shared with another rental property, a residence, and some local businesses.

Lovely, well-decorated downstairs apartment a 5-minute drive from campus. Comfortable beds, fully-stocked kitchen, lots of hot water in the shower and heated towel rack. Highly recommend nearby Cushman's for breakfast!
