Staff was nice enough. But the place is rather old, tired and musty.

We stayed for a long weekend while visiting family nearby. I would best describe this as "it's seen better days". It has a slightly tatty feeling in some places, some of the lights in our room didn't work, our door didn't automatically close behind us---we had to forcibly pull it shut. Also in our daughter's room the shower didn't drain properly and there was some dirty water int he bottom of the tub. We were disappointed because the web site says there is a pool, but there is not---it's been shut. A good point is that they have a breakfast every morning, and it was good.

The facility is old and out of date. Bathroom floor is sticky. Breakfast is not great. The only reason I booked this place is all other places are fully booked during the university check in dates

Gym was very poor, no weights at all and several cardiovascular machines out of function

The staff was considerate, helpful, professional. The breakfast was ok. Highlights were gluten free muffins and a pancake machine. The pool was closed which was a disappointment. The building/room needs serious updating. Especially the bathroom (see photos of chipped sink, rust and degraded surface at bathtub overflow drain, mildew around outside of tub). Carpeting in room and in common spaces were worn and stained.

What a fabulous team at the front desk helping to accommodate us as our plans changed due to bad weather. We didn’t arrive until 5:30 am but they made sure we had a chance to get some sleep! Thank you! You made a really really long day enjoyable!

Sad place. Run down. Tv and room phone don’t work. It’s august and the pool isn’t open.

Started with a broken toilet. Tried calling front desk but the room phone didn't work, had to use my cell to reach front desk. Then was told no maintenance person to fix toilet. Asked for manager. Was told no manager on site and couldn't get a hold of them unless it was emergency (really??). Asked for another room, none available that we could fit comfortably. Very disappointed!!!! We were stuck there as surrounding hotels were full.

Upon arrival i was easily able to check in and the staff was fantastic with thier service getting me in and checked in. My suite was really a tiny studio. (This was a shock as most of my suites i get when i travel usually seperate the bedroom from the living room). When youbleave the lobby the temperature when uncomfortable. Like there was no ac in the common spaces. When i got to the room the wall ac was struggling to cool the room and didnt really cool it till late evening. The brick wall was cool but the rest of the room was really dated and needed a makeover. Could tell cleaning staff did a great job cleaning things that where eye level and down but no one looked up( larger cobwebs and massave dustbunnies). Breakfast was ok nothing fancy and limited. But the coffee was hot and the pancakes where made in a cool 3d printer.

The halls weren't air-conditioned... way to hot.. pass out hot..

Decent, clean and comfortable hotel with no frills. Walls are thin, bring your earplugs and hope for good neighbors.

Rug felt damp, stains on ceiling, bathroom floor sticky, patio had empty beer bottles (not mine).

Nasty! Filthy. Disgusting. Shame on Expedia for selling these rooms and shame on Amherst for. Or shutting it down. Unsanitary and just gross. Left feeling dirty

Room was dirty and moldly. Had to cut our stay and leave early!

The room was clean, and the AC unit worked fine. It smelled like fried fish from someone else's dinner from the night before, but the smell abated after i put the AC on. The hallways were littered with trash and debris, needed a good vacuuming.

The thermostat wouldn't work so either we slept in 60 degree temps or without hvac at all. the bathtub drain fixture were so pitted and rusted, there was a red rust stain on the tub porcelain. the "breakfast included" was continental. No eggs, no meat, no waffles. Never again. It wasn't worth the price we paid.

Bathroom is not in good repair. They said someone else checked into my room before I arrived. How does that happen?

Clean and spacious room and it was quiet even though it was quite full that night.

Musty carpets. The place is dilapidated and falling apart. Smell of decay everywhere.

the bed was comfortable, but overall i found it dingy and in need of some sprucing up. I understand that it is an older building, but some updates in the rooms are needed.

It comes with free breakfast but it was horrible, coffee was good tough.

*warning to future guests* I arrived at the hotel just before midnight. We checked in and were given our room key. We entered our room and found what appeared to be ash covered all over the bed and pillows. I contacted the front desk and was told to come down and we would be given a new room. We went back to the front desk to find the front desk employee left to meet us in our room. This began a cat and mouse chase. She eventually returned and gave us a new room and key. We went to the new room and the key card wouldn’t work. After a few tries the door open from INSIDE and a person is staring at us. The room we were given was OCCUPIED. It is now well after midnight. We go back to the front desk and explain what happened. She gives us a new room and key. This is now a third room we are trying. Again, the key does not work. We go back to the desk and explain. The employee comes with us to open the room with her master key. She opens the door and the latch from INSIDE the room is keeping the door shut. The room is again OCCUPIED. The woman in the room slams the door shut, yells at us and then wips the door open and is staring at us. The employee is half way down the hall leaving us to explain what is going on. The employee now tries a 4th room that she inspects herself before giving us a new key for. Thankfully this room is vacant!! We get into our room and thankfully has a clean bed. The room has no lamps next to the bed, a broken fan and a pill on the floor. Never again!

When we arrived to check in, the person at the reception first informed us that we don’t have a reservation and when we showed her our reservation and also the payment she said the hotel is full and they don’t have a room for us

It was good, clean, comfy and worth the price

The non-smoking rooms smelled like smoke. There were bugs in our air-conditioning unit. The bathtub looked disgusting and didn't have a drain cover. Whenever we flushed the toilet, nothing would happen initially and then the tub would gurgle as in flushed. The staff was courteous, and breakfast was as expected.
