The property was within easy walking distance to the Halls Gap shops and restaurants. It was well appointed and comfortable. We had kangaroos grazing in the back yard and next door each evening.

The additional of a few things would improve the ease of staying and cooking:
- some pantry space for storing food
- dustpan and brush
- waste paper bin in the bathroom
- clothes hangers
- more cooking and serving utensils eg serving spoons, potato masher

The property itself is truly great and we would stay there again without hesitation. Just a note to the owners and those intending to stay there, it would be nice to have some soap for the shower and the toilet basin. Otherwise, perfect in every way.

We loved our four-night stay at Amaroo Retreat. The house had everything we needed and is just a short stroll from Halls Gap cafes, restaurants and Info Centre. The mountain backdrop and nearby walks make Halls Gap and Gariwerd a beautiful destination.

great location. quiet off - street, very nice n clean unit, we enjoyed our stay , safe for kids, only downside is mobile signal is bad in GAP and house dont have wifi.

Back to this property after five years and it’s still terrific. The weather this time was completely different (12 deg not 35 deg) but this property is well-equipped to handle any conditions. It’s also nicely appointed, clean, quiet, the kitchen has everything you could require, beds are comfortable, and the property is brilliantly located. The welcome gift, as others have mentioned, is a nice touch. Highly recommended.

We spent four nights celebrating our anniversary and couldn’t be happier with our choice of accommodation. Everything was perfect, clean and a great location. Would definitely stay again if we return to Halls Gap.

Fabulous quiet location right in the heart of town. Walk to the Stony Creek Shops for coffees & ice creams & enjoy the walks from the town centre. Beautifully appointed, chocolates on arrival, comfy beds & everything you need for a peaceful & relaxing holiday. Loved the luxury touches. Will definitely be back.

Amazing location only 2 minute walk from the main town. Property equipped with everything you need. Amazing outdoor with undercover BBQ area. Highly reccomend!
