We were in town for a wedding. This was a perfect spot! We got away from all the crazy family :) I loved the sound of the falls! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was stocked.

We enjoyed the cabin, and the quietness. I enjoyed looking at pictures on the wall from back in the day, and reading in the book, I remember Dahlonega. It was very thoughtful for the owners to put extras in the cabin (game boards, DVD movies, and records). The outside needed some TLC. Blowing of the leaves and beautiful flowers would give it that extra special touch.

The waterfall was a highlight! Easy to get to Ellijay, Dahalonaga, wineries, etc. Adorable and private. We’ll be back!

Loved the cabin. Very, very rustic and nestled in the trees by cane creek. Has what you need and reminded us of an old fish camp cabin. Never could get tV to work but used the dvd player.

We enjoyed this cute, rustic cabin on Cane Creek. The waterfall was beautiful and you could hear it while rocking on the screened in porch. We loved the family history and staying in their sweet cabin.

The wife loved the Cain. Reminded her of her father’s cabin built the 1930’s. Plus the location couldn’t have been better. The cabin does need some minor maintenance due to its age. With all things considered, we would go back.

The pictures do not do this place justice. We felt like we were in our own little sanctuary in the woods, yet we were only minutes from restaurants, shops, and wineries. This is definitely our new favorite place in the mountains. Thanks to the owners for sharing this little gem with the rest of us.

This was a great trip! The cabin was awesome! Just as described. LOVED the waterfall!!! We were somewhat secluded but within minutes of downtown! Loved the screened-in porch with rocking chairs. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay! I hope to come back again!

We only stayed for one night. M wishing we could have stayed longer! This was just the cutest little cabin. We loved the retro 1950’s decor. There’s a record player and vinyl record collection there, so I got to introduce my 7 yo to records! He was fascinated with it. The waterfall is so close you can hear it as soon as you get out of your car. It’s a big beautiful waterfall and the hike down to the bottom of it is well worth it. We loved sitting on the back patio by overlooking the creek, with a fire in the chiminea, roasting hot dogs and making s’mores. The instructions sent by the owner were detailed and told us everything we needed to know. Check in and check out was a breeze. This place was absolutely perfect, and we will definitely be coming back for a longer stay in the future!

Can’t even begin to say how OVERwhelmed I am about this cabin. GF and I were doing a little North GA road trip and her favorite song is a Dive Bar In Dahlonega and we saw a sign for it and decided to extend to trip and check it out. Fell in love with the pictures when we found Hal’s cabin, asked to stay there and her graciously accommodated us and our dogs. When we got there I couldn’t believe my eyes. Nestled in the mountains feet from Cane Creek. 200ft from the top of the falls. Didn’t see a person our whole stay. The decor and amenities are exactly expected from the description. A+. Definitely planning to go back. Would love to spend a Tday or Christmas there. Thanks Hal.

From the minute we drove up we were in love with this cabin and location. It was perfect. The place is so much larger than I thought it would be. The owners have thought of everything! The water is nice and hot and has great water pressure. The beds were comfortable and we loved all of the quilts and blankets. The kitchen is fully stocked. The towels were nice and fluffy. We hiked around the area spent a good amount of time sitting outside listening to the nearby waterfall. I highly recommend this cabin. You will not be disappointed.

Wow! This property is amazing! It is super cozy, clean, warm and inviting! It's also private with lots of room inside and out. This is a perfect "cabin in the woods." The owners are so nice and responsive. We will definitely be back!

This cabin was exactly what we expected and exactly what we wanted! Downtown Dahlonega is adorable, and having the sound of the falls right outside the cabin was so relaxing. We even got a fire going in the fireplace while we watched a DVD. We are anticipating our next trip up there and will try to stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It's perfectly nestled right beside the creek, just up from a beautiful waterfall. The area is gated, so my grandson and I felt completely safe. The interior is beautiful, full of memories, and everything was cozy and comfortable. Plenty to do with games for all ages, DVDs, music. Absolutely looking forward to returning! one day!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was perfectly furnished with vintage albums, a movie collection, and an impressive book collection. We enjoyed our evenings by the roaring fire. The owner was very informative and provided everything to make our stay comfortable. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away for the weekend.

This is our 2nd year at the cabin and it was just as wonderful as the first. We spent a lot of time shopping and enjoying Dahlonega however we did enjoy a night watching movies by the fire. We will be returning in 2024 and plan on spending more time enjoying the coziness of the cabin! Thank you Hal and Audrey!

At first we had difficulty locating the cabin we had booked, but once we found it it was a most enjoyable stay. Nice waterfall within walking distance and cabin located close to town.

We were pleasantly surprised by this cabin. Pictures definitely do not do it justice. Tucked off into the woods with a beautiful waterfall just 100 yards from it, its the perfect peaceful getaway. The cabin comes stocked with everything you could think of, from games to movies, blankets, and all the dog amenities you could imagine! We never lacked. The best little surprise was the dog toys! The cabin is also conveniently located to town and food. We would definitely stay there again.

What a fabulous step back in time with all the modern conveniences you need. We arrived to a beautiful well thought out cabin it was so cozy & comfortable. We had everything we needed & great directions to get firewood for the fireplace. We spent nights by the fireplace drinking coco & playing games, listening to records on the record player. Great collection of records. We watched the deer play in the stream and had a magical stress free stay. The beds were comfortable and the quilts were cozy & warm. We can’t wait to come back& melt our worries away again. We loved our stay and made great memories. This cabin really felt magical for our family we all felt the love & joy it holds.

Wonderful, peaceful, pretty surroundings. Place is very nicely kept. You feel like you're at home. When we first got to the gate, of course the code didn't work, but a young man came out of the office and helped us. But also informed us that kids were coming ( we never realized it was a private kids camp) We didn't see that on any of the write ups. And he told us we needed to stay in our cabin because of that. Well, we didn't and we never saw any kids! A bit weird but we loved it there!

The cabin is so near a waterfall that you can hear it from the screened in porch, and is conveniently close to Dahlonega. Nice and clean - very pleasant.

I had a wonderful time staying at Hal and Audrey's cabin in Dohlenega. The cabin was clean, cozy, and quietly situated within a Retreat Center (that was closed for the remaining year). Cane Falls is just about 200 yards away, and the trails are beautiful. It's simply a peaceful area, but only two miles from the town center of Dahlonega. I feel very grateful to have found this VRBO!!

Relaxing weekend. Played some old vinyl and loved it. Will definitely return.

Beautiful serene location. Super cozy cabin with historic charm, gorgeous fireplace, comfortable beds, and the perfect screened-in porch. Less than 10 minutes from restaurants, coffee shops, gold mines, and everything else Dahlonega has to offer. Absolutely loved it!!! Oh, and of course, the falls!!! Gorgeous!

Favorites of this property are the nearby waterfall, screened porch and proximity to downtown and attractions! Would definitely stay here again. I would avoid staying in warm weather as the window units did not cool the entire house. Reminded of old homestead and family fishing camp.🎣🏡

We spent three days here, peaceful mornings sipping coffee in the comfort of the living room and exploring nearby in the afternoons. Evenings were perfectly set up for a simple meal prepared in the cabin’s simple yet well appointed kitchen. Spinning vintage vinyl and chats on the porch overlooking the creek. Relaxing, peaceful. A place set outside of the hurry of today’s world.

The 1950s cabin is just as the listing describes. We loved it. We sat in the rocking chairs in the screened in back porch each evening. Dahlenoga is a very small & cute town. We spent most of our time hiking, but did do a gold mine tour & visited the Gold Museum, & visited some of the shops. It was a quick drive from the cabin to go to town for dinner each evening. There are also several wineries in the area.
