This property was in a great location and the condo supplied all the things we needed like coffee maker, toaster, blender, cooler, beach towels, etc. We had to restock the garbage bags and toilet paper which we didn't expect. It would have been nice if the beds were bigger and in better shape. We loved Kauai and overall were happy with our stay.

A bit run down but was a good bargain for Kauai. Other than off the beach a great location for a meal or supplies. Good beaches within driving distance. Great location for site seeing. Had a good trip. 3rd time to Kauai.

We really enjoyed our stay! The pool and hot tub are fantastic Features to have not only for kids. Since there are three pools/hot tubs on the property it’s never been crowded at the pool area! The apartment was very spacious and comfortable for a family of three. Having a fully equipped kitchen really upgraded our stay as well! The apartment wasn’t as clean as I would expect my own house to be but certainly clean enough to have a comfortable stay. We would come again!

We enjoyed our stay here. Close to shopping centers, close to the beach. And was a good midway point between the north and south side of the island. The only bad thing was there was no broom so we could sweep up anything we tracked in. We checked with the front desk and they had no broom that we could use.

I visited for a wedding and pretty much needed a place to sleep since I knew I would be out most of the days I was there; after a quick and easy check-in process, I was pleasantly surprised of how much space I had to the point I actually did end up using the space for some down time in between trips. I had more than I needed, and the location being in a more central part of the island meant I was traveling the same amount in either direction. I’d highly recommend Plantation Hale for anyone wanting to explore and have a nice place to stay!

I have stayed at the facility a number of years ago and it is still just as nice and convenient with a Shopping Center. That’s next-door. Comfortable and lovely grounds. I will definitely come back again.

We appreciate the help of the manager for our problem with the matress! It was a really good location for the activities! But, the place need a little refresh!

This was a nice property. We did wish that we had more wash rags since there was not a washer and dryer. One wash rag per person for 3 days was not enough. The front desk didn’t have any.

Spacious apartment, good location. Some equipment needs renewal. Anyway very recommendable.

Needs a renovation. Otherwise fine. Wouldn’t stay in this particular unit again. Other condos in Plantation Hale, were much nicer. This unit, however, needs attention.

Smelled, cracked bathtub, average linens, rat chewed wood, old aged carpet and furniture. I wished I had paid a little more abd stayed at the hotel across the street.

We loved the location of this property and the grounds and pools were great! One of the hot tubs wasn't working, but we actually enjoyed the middle pool/hot tub location the best! Parking was easy and the closeness of the laundry facilities was nice. The room listing was definitely misleading and looked so much nicer and cleaner in the online pictures. It states the bathroom was recently renovated, not sure how long ago that was because there were two giants cracks in the tub bottom with a plastic mat thrown over the top to protect your feet. This area of the tub was very soft and it felt like we were going to fall through the tub floor. The bathroom also has no ventilation, we were thankful to find a fan in the closet to help the air circulation. Overall, the bathroom felt very grungy and unclean to us. We are a family of five and needed to use the sofa bed, however it has seen better days and the frame was bent, causing the mattess not to lay flat. We ended having to put the mattress on the floor for our teenager to sleep comfortably. This unit is listed for 6 people, however there were only 4 beach towels, which again was frustrating for our family of five. We did enjoy the use of the cooler and swimming fins. The beach chairs have seen better days. Also, we struggled with the sliding glass doors out to the patio area, they need some work to open easier.

Great price for a place to sleep and eat. Highway noises at night are loud if your not used to that. Location is great for access to both sides of the island.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is very nice! You can go to the north or to the south of the island very easily. It is a quiet place. The room and the kitchen was not brain new at all. It will need a little bit of love by doing renovation. It's smell humidity by moment. The service was very great by everybody at the front desk. We appreciated the cooler available at our room.

WiFi drops off intermittently. AC unit is very loud and does not have an “on constant” setting so turns off and on all night if you want to stay cool. Bathtub has severely cracked floor and should be replaced. No bathroom fan so area easily gets humid and musty/moldy smelling. All that aside, the condo property is very nice. Nice pool area. Excellent location in Kauai.

We really enjoyed Kauai Island. Always something to go and enjoy. The condo however had some issues. The bathtub was broken with a mat to stand on while showering. Leaky bathroom faucet. Kitchen cabinets rundown, no track on one drawer. Had to watch same drawer to keep from falling. Old couch sagging. Manager was right after a ciuple issues we had with a/c and television. She sent help within an hour. Thank you Candice! Sorry but the condo does need to be upgraded. Condo also close to highway, so we were wakened by loud vehicles passing during the night.

The location was really good and the pools and hot tub were great. We did have an issue with the bath tub in our room as the floor was cracked and the bathroom stunk of mildew. We contacted the property manager and she was awesome and really accommodating. I would book through Candice again in a heart beat and I would even stay at this condo again just not in this room as it was dated. I have 2 young kids so not having a bathtub was a bit of an issue for sure.

Plantation Hale was an ideal location for us. We only had three days in Kauai, and the location was perfect for dropping our bags and touring the island from the time we got on the ground. We were able to maximize three days of beach exploring using the beach gear provided including a cooler. A definite plus. You can find fancier resorts but we basically slept at the property. ABC store right next door and the Lava Lava Club a short walk away on the beach. Highly recommend this property if you are looking for a home base.

The location and property are fine but their needs to be repairs. There is no vent in the bathroom and door is peeling. Bathtub cracked so doesn’t hold water. Cupboard door falls off. Hideabed mattress looks like it has a mold or mold stain. Really needs some work.

It was a nice place.

We had a great family vacation. Nice property close to many activities and restaurants. The host was kind enough to extend our checkout to noon when we requested. It helped as we needed to take showers after returning from the ATV rides before heading to the airports. The coconut plantation shopping area nearby has good food and evening luau performances in the open. It would have been more help if the apartment had a washer-dryer in the unit.

I was a little nervous having the condo only have one bedroom and bathroom but it worked out just fine. The location is awesome. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely go back!

Plantation Hale is a good centralized location, close to the airport, and close to the main part of town. The unit has everything you need, and is well stocked.

This spot was prefect as a home-base for our trip. The only things I would suggest is to include BBQ tools in the house (especially since the bbqs are listed as an amenity) and be more clear with check out instructions. I didn't get mine until after we left. Maybe add to guest binder?

We really enjoyed staying in this condo. It was very centrally located to many of the things we wanted to do. We also liked that we were right across the street from a little market that had everything we needed at reasonable prices.

We enjoyed this condo. It is in a great location walking distance to the market and some food choices. It was nice to be able to cook some meals while on vacation.

5 days on Kauai is what was needed! The condo was in a perfect location. Central location made it great for touring beaches, hikes, and restaurants. Highly recommend!
