Just wonderful

Wonderful location in a quiet resort. Close walk to the beach. The cottage had all that you need and more. What mead our trip even better than the location was the host. She went above and beyond. Hands down the best experience I ever had with a host. Will definitely book here again without hesitation.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kate’s place in Oceanside village. Kate was a very attentive and accommodating host that made our stay in Parkville stess free and fun! We enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to stay here again! Thank you!

The cottage was lovely. It was perfect for our family attending a function in Nanaimo. Close, but a refuge away from the busier town. Close to everything. The complex was very well kept. Kate made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again if available on our next island trip.

Well stocked, everything you could think of inside unit and on gorgeous deck space. Kate was wonderful to deal with and very responsive. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again and again. Close to the beach and town. and easy access off of highway. One of the cleanest rentals we have stayed in.

This property was exactly as advertised, and had all the things we needed for a great moms & daughters getaway! Lovely enclosed patio, comfy beds (and a sofa bed for the kids which they loved), fully stocked kitchen, and even games and toys. Kate the host was super lovely and very easy to deal with. She made sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful cozy cottage with an outdoor patio for the good weather and indoor fireplace for the bad. Great BBQ and fully stocked kitchen. This property was right by the indoor pool and hot tub that I used every day. A short bike (or walk) to the beach and beautiful park.

Kate is an amazing hostess and her home is phenomenal. We so enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. Kate’s attention to detail - stocked kitchen, flowers on the table and patio, great suggestions and directions for anything we needed or wanted - wish I could give more than 5 stars.

We wanted to check in our lot and also to enjoy the beautiful Parksville area. The cottage was well equipped,clean and quiet. It is close to a beautiful beach and though the weather was off and on walking on the empty beach was heaven. We slept amazingly well as it is dark and quiet. Kate was an amazing host.

Kate absolutely deserves the title as a Premier Host. Everything through the booking process to the bottle of wine on arrival was very appreciated. Kate made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The cottage is first rate and equipped with everything you need. Our stay was 2 weeks and never ran out of anything. The resort is beautiful, well maintained and quiet. Has a pool, small gym, mini-golf, ice cream, a couple of boutique type businesses and restaurant. Parksville and surrounding area provides many opportunities to explore and is a great central location to travel to other areas of Vancouver Island. Definitely recommend this cottage and will hopefully return again one day.

Kate’s cottage was ideally situated near the indoor pool facility (closed for winter maintenance during our stay). The beach is 10-15 minute walk. The cottage was cozy and well stocked for a comfortable stay. We would definitely return!

The owner, Kate takes great pride in her cottage and providing a comfortable stay for guests. From the welcome bottle of wine and chocolate to treats for our dog. Kate went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The cottage is as described, fully equipped with attention to every detail.

Wonderful! The cottage was stocked with everything you would need for your stay. Kitchen was better stocked than my home kitchen. Kate has decorated the place very nicely; it all "fits" and makes the cottage feel like a home. Best stocked short term rental property I have stayed in. Kate was easy to deal with. I felt like I had a personal connection to Kate. I look forward to return visits and will definitely choose Kate's property. Thank you Kate for sharing your home with us.

I wish I could give 10 stars to this property! This is the best appointed vacation property we have ever stayed in - from kitchen ware, kid games to picnic supplies! Everything is immaculate and spotless. Thank you for a lovely stay, Kate! We were so grateful for the air conditioning and loved our beach holiday in Parksville!

We had the absolute best stay at this cabin, it was so clean and gorgeous. The owner had everything arranged for us, and has anything you could need for you stay available. She even left us a bottle of chilled wine! (And chilled juice boxes for the kids) We look forward to staying here next year

My friend and I rented the property to have some time to reconnect and enjoy the sights. It was wonderful on all levels. Kate was a perfect host and the property was exactly as described. Very accessible to Rathtrevor Beach and into Parksville to see the sand castle competition. We had such a great time and hopefully there will be another stay soon. Very clean and really well stocked. Very peronal renting process. Suited a family of 4 well. Great amenities for kid's in the resport. A little farther from the beach than would have been ideal.

We had the luck and opportunity to stay at Kate's cottage for an entire month and it was wonderful. I can highly recommend for short and also longer-term stays! The kitchen was extremely well stocked and we weren't missing anything as we ate most meals at "home." We stayed as a family with two kids (6 and 8) and the games, books, and beach/pool toys were wonderful! It was also great to have the pool just steps away. We also often walked to the beach and through gorgeous Rathtrevor Provincial Park trails as well as the Black Goose Pub. Everything was comfortable and clean and the owner, Kate, is extremely kind and attentive! We had an unexpected emergency during our stay and she was an incredible angel helping us out! I hope we can come back up again - and can't recommend more!
