Hotels can take a few lessons with regards to their cleaning practices. :) Everything was amazing, the admin staff were so great with any questions, and the beach was just what I needed for a relaxing and fun vacation trip.

The limit was 15 people in the pool; however,there were probably near 100 guests staying at the condo. No matter how early in the morning, or late in the evening we tried to use the pool, the area was completely full. The area around the pool and outside the condo were not very pretty. There seemed to be very little effort put into landscaping.Clearwater,Reddington,Indian Shores, and St. Pete Beach seemed like much nicer areas than Madeira.

There were some inconveniences starting with the AC unit which was not working and took 24 hours to fix. Also the fridge ice making unit was not working. One element on the stove was not working and 2 others were not set properly which caused a slipping motion for pots and pans. And the TV remote was broken and to use it required 2 hands.

Reviewer Comments: All in we had a great vacation, the location of this condo was great, the beach was amazing, we could walk to St. John's pass along the beach or Main Street. The staff at Resort Rentals were excellent, they processed our enquiries fast and were extremely pleasant, especially Anne at the front desk. When we arrived on the Saturday afternoon we discovered the air conditioning wasn't working up to par, however when we connected with Resort Rentals on Monday they immediately sent someone out to fix it , The condo was a little tired, the kitchen faucet dripped, the stove elements didn't work properly, never managed to get a glass of cold water, and the water/ice maker didn't work, I think the appliances need replacing. Having a washer dryer was great, especially with two young children. The master bedroom was comfy. The two front bedrooms, beds comfy but the street noise was loud, needs some double glazing or windows replaced. The door buzzer at main entranceway didn't work, so if you had guests, or delivery (ie pizza) you had to wait downstairs. However even with all these small problems (once the air was fixed) we enjoyed our stay, and would definitely return to this location. We loved the fact that the balcony was messed in, no bugs, and a big safety plus with our young grandchildren. The condo was very clean but again needed some updating. We enjoyed the pool, the view, the sun and the sand. Looking forward to another visit to Florida in the not too distant future.I would say we were overall satisfied with our stay at Villa Madeira,.

Wooden sticks used as window security for bedrooms along walkway. We stayed 3 weeks and enjoyed the condo and the location.The condo was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the "on the beach" location is a huge plus! The condo itself had 2 good sized bedrooms and a 3rd that was tiny. We used the tiny room for luggage....The kitchen was small but very well equipped and usable. The common living space was enough for my husband and myself but might be tight if 4 adults and/or children were staying.....We did have a few rainy days during our 3 week stay in February and some uncommonly cold temps so our inside time was more than normally would have been expected. We liked that the balcony was screened. Ou condo was on the 4th floor and we did hear the people over us which was annoying at times. If we visit again we would opt for the top floor. All things considered, our stay was very nice and the owner of the unit and his realtor reps were extremely helpful when we initially made the reservations and we staying in the unit.

It was tastefully decorated & had pretty much everything we needed. One note but nothing major is bring extra toilet paper...we didn't get very many roles at all and had to buy some. The beach was gorgeous & we were there in early September. The ocean was 88 the whole week. We saw dolphins everyday feeding early in the morning. It was a great vacation & I would definitely stay here again.

The beach was nice and easy to walk out into the water and was never very crowded. We walked in the mornings up and down the beach looking for shells or checking out the other buildings and houses on the beach. We are in our 30's and could walk to John's Pass for some shopping or for just a change of pace. We decided to do the local cuisine and no big chain eateries! The Conch was a favorite along with Middle Grounds Grill, Dockside Daves, Crabby Bills at Indian Rocks. When all else fails ask a local...they are very friendly and never steered us wrong! We did rent a car at the airport and drove to a few places to eat at night and to just drive up to Clearwater and down to Fort De Soto. Fort De Soto also had a beautiful beach especially on the north end. We went on an excursion to Egmont Key and that was okay too..wished our tour was longer to enjoy the whole island.Master bed was comfy, livingroom furniture was comfortable but we really didn't spend much time inside. I enjoyed having washer and dryer in unit so we didn't bring home a suitcase of dirty clothes! It was nice to have the beach chairs available on the porch to take down to the beach. An umbrella would have been nice to have too. There were options of renting umbrella/chairs on beach. The guy comes around and checks them through the day. The resort management company had lots of brochures and handouts when we checked in and were very friendly! Had a great week and already wanting to save for another trip!

I've left a list of deficient items with Resort Rentals, and vrbo did not accept my review. I wouldn't recommend this unit to anyone till the upgrades are made.
