We were an extended family of 13 adults and a 15-month old child who spent a week at Villa Charles. We rented all three apartments, which easily accommodated our family, while allowing separate spaces for separation, when needed. The apartment is as advertised - clean, contemporary and well-appointed and a short walk to the private beach. The internal staircases made it easy to go from one apartment to another. The large kitchen and living space on the main floor served as our gathering point and we enjoyed several meals together using the long tables on the front porch. And there was plenty of outdoor parking for our four cars. Marie was easy to communicate with before and during our stay, especially given our limited French language proficiency. She was both helpful and responsive to our concerns. And prior to our arrival she installed removable screen fencing so that our toddler was safe around both swimming pools. Upon our arrival two of the air-conditioning units were not working. One had to be replaced; the other needed service. Since this occurred over the Christmas holiday, it took a couple of days to correct. The villa has two washer / dryer machines and one separate washer and dryer. None of them actually worked to dry our clothes. We had to use the drying racks and the outdoor clothes line, which was problematic with so many people, towels and the occasional rain storm. Most of the bedrooms are small, some with closets; others without. The morning of our departure there was NO water. We’re still not clear why, although Marie indicated we used up the “reserve”, which we knew nothing about. It was a frustrating end to a wonderful stay, as many of us had long return trips. A previous review also mentioned this happening. We found the Saint Francois public beach much better than the private beach. We enjoyed restaurants in both Saint Anne and Saint Francois, especially Kote Sud and the grilled lobsters at Columbo! And the many wonderful patisseries and rotisseries kept us fed in between. We shopped in the local street markets, Carrefour supermarket and at La Cave a Vieux in Pointe-à-Pitre, with its fabulous selection of wine and spirits. We visited the Zoo de Guadeloupe au Parc des Mamelles, the Jardin botanique de Deshaies and La Pointe des Châteaux.

Très belle maison décorée, équipée et pensée avec beaucoup de soin pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis. Les espaces communs, la taille des chambres et leur salle de bain attenantes ont favorisé un séjour paisible et merveilleux en Guadeloupe. Chacun dispose d’une chambre spacieuse et calme pour un moment de calme et d’intimité. La vue mer d’une grande terrasse et de celle de l’etage, les 2 piscines, l'aménagement de la disposition de la maison ont fait le bonheur des petits et grands. Chaque détail est pensé et la propriétaire des lieux est à votre écoute pour toutes demandes. Aucune restriction d’eau en cas de coupure du réseau puisqu’une citerne indépendante vous assure le bon fonctionnement. Le calme et la beauté du lieux enchanteront votre séjour !!! Une maison exceptionnelle à choisir sans hésiter.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans les 3 villas Charles, puisque nous étions un groupe de 8 adultes et 9 adolescents. Tout était parfait! L'agencement des lieux, la modernité du confort (literie, serviettes, etc), l'équipement de la cuisine, et les chaises longues. La villa était même décorée pour noël! La petite plage privée est accessible en moins de 2 mins, mais Il faut prévoir un nombre suffisant de bracelets pour y accéder. La plage est très agréable avec un sympathique restaurant, le Ti-Coco, qui rend les apéros fort agréables. Les villas Charles sont bien situées à quelques kilomètres de Saint-François, avec ses boulangeries et le marché nocturne. Bref - nous avons passé un excellent séjour, et nous rêvons d'y retourner. Merci à Marie, notre hôte, pour ses conseils et son accueil.

Une vrai villa pensée pour les vacances, avec des espaces de vie pour la vie en groupe et des espaces de tranquillité pour votre intimité, le tout avec confort absolu et une vue magnifique sur la mer, quel beau souvenir.

La description de la location correspond parfaitement avec la réalité et nous avons été très bien reçus La location est propre et l'entretien suffisant mais peut encore progresser (pour certains les matelas n'étaient pas assez fermes et un volet roulant s'est bloqué ) mais très bon niveau pour la Guadeloupe. La vue est très agréable et rare pour la région,la terrasse est idéale pour les repas du soir. un seul défaut : un terrain un peu petit quand on vit essentiellement à l'extérieur Nous recommanderons certainement cette location à nos amis la possibilité d' avoir 3 appartements séparés est un plus pour une grande famille avec des petits enfants ou un groupe d'amis Passage obligé au "Colombo" le restaurant pour les langoustes et la proximité du golf est bien pratique
