We had an amazing experience during our stay at "Laurie’s Dream" in Menton, France. The view overlooking the beach was breath-taking! One of the highlights of the trip was having breakfast and afternoon snacks out on the balcony just to look out at the waves and lively boardwalk. The apartment was very bright, comfortable, and clean. The kitchen was very functional, with all the appliances needed. There was also a closet with beach equipment. It was clear to us that a lot of thought and care was put into this apartment. If that wasn’t enough for a great experience, the location of the apartment was also perfect! Besides merely having to cross the street to go for a swim at the beach, the apartment is close to countless local shops and many good restaurant options. As a personal touch, the local manager Catherine provided us with a list of her favorite restaurants in the area, and the ones we tried were all doubly approved! Whenever we got in touch with her, Catherine was responsive, friendly, and extremely helpful. She gave us all the information we needed regarding activities, transportation, etc. For those days that we felt like exploring the area, the public transportation was very effective. Laurie’s apartment is a mere 15 min walk from the train station, and we were able to hop on a train and be in Nice in about 30 minutes, and a lovely market in Italy in 15 minutes. We had a terrific time here, and we can't wait to come back!

Light and airey property with air conditioning. Lovely large lounge with a wonderful view onto the beach and great little balcony for people watching. Comfortable bed and plenty of wardrobe space and hangers plus another larger balcony. Kitchen very small but well equipped and perfectly adequate for a holiday. Enjoyed popping to the market most days for fresh produce . Catherine met us for a smooth check in and gave us lots of information , recommendations and helpful advice on the local area. Literally opposite the beach so great to have towels, beach mat, chairs and parasol for guests use.( Just remember to pack your beach shoes as enterering the sea from the rocky beach can be difficult). A wonderful apartment and would definitely use again.

Loved staying at the property. The water view was phenomenal, as advertised. The location had proximity to everything I required on my ten day stay. The host Catherine could not have been more helpful. The cookies and wine on check in was a nice touch and she was able to accommodate my earlier check in, which was brilliant given the long flight from Australia. Would thoroughly recommend this property and Menton unreservedly.

All clean & tidy & very comfortable. Bedroom pleasantly quiet. Sitting room is light & airy with wonderful view of palm trees & the sea which was just warm enough for swimming. Beach clean, dog free & not crowded. The check-in time advised by Abritel differed from the time we were allowed in.

A really great apartment in a fantastic location. Ideally suited for the beach, market, lots of restaurants etc but also close enough to bus stops and train station if you have to travel

What a wonderful time I had! The apartment was exactly as described and as in the photos. The view onto the beach and the sea is just awesome! Drinking a lovely chilled rosé wine on the balcony across from the sea was certainly one of my favorite moments. There were even special post-covid celebrations and concerts on the Promenade du Soleil below. The bed is really comfortable, the bedroom quiet and the air conditioning was really great as I was there during a heat wave. Last but not least, I appreciated the bed sheets, towels and even beach towels from a famous deluxe store, “Carré Blanc” that we know from previous trips. Restaurant tips from the host were great as I didn’t feel like cooking on a brief holiday. I’ll surely come back next year. Thank you Catherine for your hospitality.

Easy to book, Catherine and her husband are very friendly and courteous. We travelled with a car - so they booked us a parking lot 200m away. If we had a question or a problem we could get a friendly answer instantly. The appartment is in a great position for visiting the old town, or make some trips with the train. The balkonys are small, but for 2 people sitting outside in front of the sea, it's sufficient. The living room is wide, bright and offers also an great view to the sea. The street directly in front is (of course) a bit noisy - But if you want to have a short (walking) distance to the old town, there is no other choice ;-D But no fear, the house and appartment is very calm and air conditioned - so you can close the windows, if you need more privacy. We enjoyed our stay here very much and we will come back to Menton! Catherine and Philippe, many thanks for your great job :-D

Truly a very disappointing experience and not what is advertised as a bit of paradise and totally refurbished, with my wife very upset when we saw what we had rented and its condition. Really appalling! It is an old building with dirty entrance, outside walls and general condition, that also needs total refurbishment with dirty and stained carpet runners along bare austere corridors. Doors on most apartments all stained, scratched and filthy including ours and especially brass work on door of our apartment. Architrave around the door is old, chipped all over, worn and needing painting. Most cupboard doors are sticking and do not fit properly and apartment needs total refurbishment, painting outside with damp, mouldy areas showing on the awful condition of the balconies. Really dirty with no washing machine. Upstairs bedroom is very dangerous and health risk. If over 5ft tall absolutely not safe to come down stairs and frankly health and safety risk Problem with birds defacating on the balconies and indeed we had clothes ruined outside before we realised. Aircon unit fine but dripping water, causing stained walls from aircon, with cracks forming underneath. Towels are worn and old ( My wife bought new ones for her). Floor tiles cracked and loose. Cleaning dreadful. Light switches awful. Patio doors are very hard to close in front room and also the shutters. Utensils and chopping boards were disgusting along with cleaning buckets mops oven gloves and T towels and cloths. Bought our own shower towels, teacloths, new utensils and cleaning cloths also. A smell is coming from the bathroom in the evening if door is closed! No extraction in it, just a hole which I doubt conforms to any building regulations, as should have vented extraction as a minimum. Yellow grouting and really dirty. I was told most people only come for week but frankly this is not a reason for these problems and does not help us or reduce the need for upgrading. I can supply photos if necessary, of most of the points mentioned. Altogether a dreadful experience and would advise anyone not to book if they wish any kind of decent accommodation, it is not as advertised as a dream, and very uncomfortable. We did ask for a reduction in rent but were refused. Although we were offered a refund for unused days. It was hard to book anywhere else at this time so we made do, but was a complete disgrace.

Sehr geschmackvolles Appartement in bester Lage direkt am Strand und um die Ecke von Altstadt und Markthalle. Auch im Winter sehr empfehlenswert (gut heizbar). Alles in allem eine schöne Unterkunft, die Lage ist klasse. Den Kaffee auf dem vorderen Balkon zu genießen und dem Treiben auf der Prommenade zuzusehen ist herrlich. Ein paar Dinge sollten gerichtet werden: die Wohnungstüre, die Schrankschubladen lassen sich nicht herausziehen, da die Schranktüre dagegen stößt. Kleinigkeiten, die bei voller Funktion den Aufenthalt noch besser machen würden.

gut. Das Türschloss müsste dringend ersetzt werden. Wir konnten nach dem Schliessvorgang zweimal den Türschlüssel nicht herausziehen und mussten rel. lange auf die Vermieterin warten. Sonst alles i.O. Wir kommen wieder.

Um es vorweg zu nehmen, wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Menton. Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr zentral und mit dem Meer zu Füßen - perfekt. Die Räume sind sehr schön, freundlich, hell und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Es gibt von jedem Zimmer einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Meer. Der Lärmpegel durch die unmittelbar angrenzende Strasse ist aber tatsächlich, auch für eine Stadtwohnung, ungewöhnlich hoch. Dies wird weniger durch die Autos als vor allem durch die hier üblicherweise vielen Moped- und Motorradfahrer verursacht. Natürlich ist bei einer Stadtwohnung, zumindest in gewissem Umfang, damit zu rechnen. Daher ist dieser Hinweis auch weniger als Kritik zu verstehen. Wenn man etwas lärmempfindlich ist, sollte man diese Tatsache aber unbedingt berücksichtigen. Leider lief beim Checkin nicht alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit und auch bzgl. der Ferienwohnung selbst gibt es Kritikpunkte. Wir hatten einen PKW-Stellplatz reserviert und erhielten hierzu vor Ort ein Parkhausticket. Nach dem Checkin wurden wir allerdings zunächst in ein falsches Parkhaus geschickt. Nach mehreren abgelehnten Einfahrversuchen und einem telefonischen Hilferuf sollten wir wieder zurück zum Apartment kommen. Jetzt wurde uns ein anderes Parkhaus genannt. Nach einigen Irrwegen konnten wir diesmal das genannte Parkhaus erst gar nicht finden. Nach einem erneuten telefonischen Hilferuf, erneut zurück zum Apartment. Wir bestanden dann darauf zum Parkhaus begleitet zu werden. 20 Minuten später fuhr ich dann mir dem Verwalter zum Parkhaus. Vor diesem Parkhaus standen wir bei unserer Suche zwar auch schon, aber es wurde uns zuvor ein komplett anderer Name für dieses Parkhauses genannt. Unglaublich, eine so schlechte Vorbereitung und Sorglosigkeit beim Empfang der Gäste ! Auch funktionierte das Schloss des Apartments nicht. Wieder den Verwalter angerufen und das Schloss wurde repariert. Durch all diese Widrigkeiten hatten wir bei unserer Ankunft rund 2 Stunden und eine Menge Nerven verloren ! So etwas darf nicht sein ! Für 2 Personen ist die Wohnung mit ca. 49 qm, (inkl. Zwischendecke) gut geeignet. Für 4 Personen oder mehr (enge Küche, winziges Bad) wäre es dann aber schon eine echte Herausforderung. Wir hätten uns bei dem Preis eine bessere Materialqualität so mancher Einrichtungsgegenstände erhofft. Es würde der Wohnung auch gut tun, wenn mal ein Handwerker so manche Schrank- und Wandtüre die klemmt oder sich gar nicht schließen lässt, reparieren würde.

Eine wunderbare Wohnung in top Lage mit traumhafter Aussicht direkt aufs Meer. Die Unterkunft ist neu renoviert, modern und wirklich sehr sauber. Bemerkenswert. Das Auto wird den ganzen Urlaub über nicht benötigt, da alles zu Fuß leicht zu erreichen ist. Catherine und Philippe organisieren die Vermietung und sind überaus freundlich und in allen Belangen sehr bemüht. Es war ein wunderbarer Urlaub, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Superbe emplacement batisse debut de siecle trés bien entretenue la déco de l appartement est bien pensée, moderne mais intégrée à cet ensemble art deco , à 2 pas de la plage, du marché central , du centre historique Catherine nous a trés bien acceuilli , sympatique , elle nous a donné toutes les infos pour un super séjour je recommande vivement

Très belle ville, de très bons moments passés

I have been visiting Menton for the last 15 years so know it very well and have just spent 6 weeks at this apartment. The apartment: Perfect location for the beach and town, fantastic views, lovely morning shaded side balcony overlooking the sea for breakfast and front balcony for dinner overlooking the lively street. Very comfy bed, nice bedding, small kitchen but well equipped. The hosts: Catherine & Philippe were excellent and very accommodating hosts who really work hard to make your stay prefect. I would definitely book the apartment again.

Un bel appartement très bien situé, face à la mer et en même temps dans la ville, une route à traverser pour aller se baigner, cinq minutes à pied pour se restaurer ou faire des courses, les jardins botaniques presque sous la main. Seul bémol de taille, le volume sonore du trafic sous les fenêtres: le séjour sur le balcon en est altéré. Les fenêtres sont heureusement bien insonorisées.

Die Aussicht ist real: Palmen, Strand und Meer! Näher am Strand kann man fast nicht wohnen. Es ist toll, nach dem Aufstehen zuerst im Meer zu schwimmen und dann mit Meeressicht zu frühstücken.. Die Strasse an der Promenade ist tagsüber recht befahren, aber man sieht sie nicht, weil sich die Wohnung im ersten Stock befindet. Die Wohnung ist sauber und modern renoviert. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert und ist leise. Menton und die ganze Gegend ist sehenswert! Innert kurzer Zeit kann man in die Berge wandern gehen, wenn es am Meer zu heiss ist. Die vielen und günstigen ÖV haben wir oft benutzt. Catherine hat uns super betreut und schon im Voraus einen Tiefgaragenplatz ganz in der Nähe organisiert. Sie war per Whatsapp unkompliziert erreichbar. Auch die spontane Verlängerung unseres Aufenthalts war in kurzer Zeit möglich. Wie werden diesen Urlaub in bester Erinnerung behalten!
