The unit was basically as advertised. There were a few small things that could've been better (the bedding seemed worn, clean but worn. And the towel rack in the bathroom was loose and beginning to come out of the wall). However, outside of that everything was great. Check in was easy, great location, great communication.l with landlords. No problems at all

This small apartment in a quiet Harlem neighborhood has a comfortable bed and the basic necessities. Like some other reviewers, I don't feel it would be suitable for four people. Easy walk to Lenox Avenue and the express subway to downtown Manhattan. I enjoyed my stay and would book it again.

Patrick was very responsive and helpful to all questions we had about the property and area. Instructions for check-in were comprehensive and easy to follow. We were three adults, staying for a week of sight seeing. Very close to the subway and easy to get downtown. Felt safe in the neighborhood, close to grocery store and some local restaurants. It was very hot over 30C and aircon unit and fans kept the place cool enough. Aircon was a bit noisy but not enough to be any bother. There is one bedroom with a full bathroom accessed from the bedroom. Bedroom has no door between it and the living area. There is a portable screen you can pull across but limited privacy. There were three adults staying on our trip - a couple in bedroom and my 17 year old son on pull out couch in living area. Worked ok for us, but if privacy is important, this place is probably better for just a couple. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils and cooking pots. It is an older property with only one window in the bedroom, so was a little dark unless you have lights on. Apartment would benefit from updating and renovation but was ok for a place to sleep. Didn't hear any noise from other apartments or outside. Overall very much enjoyed our stay, it was fun to stay in a residential area away from major tourist routes.

Our accommodations were fine for what we needed - a place to stay on the north end of Manhattan to attend a college graduation and get to and from Midtown Manhattan - the 2, 3 and B, C are all short walking distances down brownstone-lined side streets. The apartment is smaller than what appears in the pictures and is suitable for two adults. The bed is ample but not firm. The kitchen is functional but could use hot pads, a working can opener and good storage containers. Table and standing lamps would be a nice touch to add warmer lighting to the apartment. Reservation communication was very thorough, prompt and professional.

This was a nice, simple and clean apartment in a great location in Harlem. Easy accessibility via trains, buses, or shared rides to a museums, theaters, research libraries, and other major attractions. I rented it for over a week and it was well worth it.

It was the perfect first time getaway location to New York. Everyone in the neighbourhood was very friendly. All amenities were close (within a 5 min walk). Staying here was cozy. Highly recommended it. Thanks Patrick and Patricia for being as accommodating as this was a last minute booking. Didnt spend much time at the apartment because I wanted to see New York but for what I was there for it was very nice!

Staying at this apartment in Harlem was the perfect way to enjoy NYC. It was clean and comfy and Patrick and Patricia are good and responsive hosts. Would certainly stay again!

Great location, lots of food places and chill spots on Lennox ave. Less than 2 min walk to 135th subway station. The apt very clean and big for a one bedroom. Loved that it was open plan I felt like I was at home. Tv with lots of channels for those Rainy days. Few blocks from 125th street and lots of shops. Hosts were very polite and quick responses to any problems. Thank you for having us.

This was our second trip to New York. This location was great for us since it’s close to both airports and midtown where we had business. We were happy to have a comfortable place to stay after long days working.

Very well located, convenient and safe location. It is very close to the subway (a 2-minute walk to line 2 and 3). Linens and a lot of towels were provided. There's several grocery stores within a 5 to 10 minutes’ walk. The contact with Patricia and Patrick was always very easy and most friendly.

Had a great stay in Harlem and NYC this week. Good place to stay that is close to the subway for quick access to the city.

The description of the apartment is accurate and access to the subway is very convenient. Cosmetically there are some things that could use updated and the water temperature while showering can change without warning. But the apartment is clean and there are ample bathroom linens. The pipes in the kitchen do clang a bit occasionally but this is typical of steam heat. Despite being very close to a large hospital the street was quiet and we felt safe during all of our comings and goings - we were there for 1 week.

We absolutely loved our stay with Patrick and Patricia! The apartment is much larger than what it seems in the pictures and had a great size kitchen which made it so convenient especially with NYC prices! The apt was super clean and we had the pleasure of meeting Charlene who welcomed us with an authentic Jamaican fruit cake! We were so touched by her kindness! The location of the apt could not be more perfect! It is steps away from subway, laundry and convenient store, a short ride away from Whole Foods and the Appolo and Red Rooster! Absolute MUST! (Shrimp and Grits) - if you are Hamilton fans, you are super close to the Grange and Morris Jumel museum. If you are looking for good BBQ try Dinosaur BBQ. You can take the A to 181st to see a cool view of GW Bridge! “But you must take the A train!” (In the Heights reference). The best thing about this trip is Patricia and Patrick allowed us to extend our stay when our flight was canceled due to the snowstorm! I almost didn’t want to write this review because I don’t want them to not be available when we come visit again, because we will definitely stay with them again! Me, my wife and two daughters had a 6-day stay in New York. Mrs. Patricia place is in the heart of the West side of Harlem. Nice clean brownstone in a peaceful block safe for you and your children. Definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting New York. Thanks again Mrs. Patricia for opening your place to me and my family. We look forward to staying at your place again next year.

Very Good!

A clean and quiet location. Was able to check in and accessing the apartment was easy. The apartment is about 3 minutes from the 2 & 3 subway lines which made it easy to get around Manhattan. The apartment was comfortable with lot of linens provided for our entire stay. Some toiletries and bottles of cold water in the Refrigerator were provided which we used until we were able to go to the grocery store the following day. There's several grocery stores with in a 5 to 10 minutes walk from the apartment. We used the kitchen often and found it adequate for all of our needs. The Internet and tv channel selections were good for the family. The air conditioner was efficient and helped keep the bedroom cool, but much of the cool air didn't make its way to the living room and kitchen. Although there were ceiling fans in the rooms it wasn't enough to move the cool air to the other rooms. I would definitely consider the apartment for my next stay.
