This house was perfect for the combined families of college graduates from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA. We had so much fun grilling out and spending time together, swimming and just making great memories!!!

The kids loved the ping pong table, and having a room where they could get away from the adults. One disappointment in the house was the musty smell downstairs when we arrived. Would have been nice to have that cleared up before we arrived. The kitchen was stocked well, but we would recommend getting more forks & spoons. The living room was a great area where we could all be together! We loved the porch where we could sit & see the morning begin & to watch the kids in the water...only down there was limbs on the tree that prohibited some to see the full dock. We enjoyed the water, but would have been more enjoyable if there would have been paddles to go with the Kayaks on the dock! We expected them to be there since it was in the contract. I sent a text to the company, but had no response. We rented a boat a couple different days for about 4 hrs (hint:if you rent in late afternoon, you can have the boat until around 4 the next day! We found this quite helpful!!) Our overall stay was wonderful! Restaurants: Our anniversary party was at the Boat Island Grill House. We enjoyed it very much. Good food! Nice waitress. It had everything you could want for a large family. It was literally right at the water, nice dock, massive deck system, truly magnificent. That being said, any property needs a little repair work occasionally. It had a wonderful whole house stereo system that didn't work. There was a huge storm a couple of days prior to arrival, and while I'm not sure if that was the cause, the back yard and dock were covered with what seemed like mosquitoes. The maintenance person brought us some cans of spray but it really needed professional treatment. I was a house that could hold 18 people, but only had 8 forks. Seemed strange. At the end of the day these issues were minor and it was a great week. P.S.- It is right on a very busy part of the lake. That could be a plus or minus, just be aware.

We enjoyed fishing from the pier and spending quiet time on the wrap around porches. The house is an older home and could use some renovations. The floors made creaking sounds in certain areas when walking. Both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms need plumbing fixture updates. The house was clean and presented no safety hazards. Overall, we enjoyed our family gathering in Greensboro Ga.

We found the Horseshoe House absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. The house sits right on the water in a small cove off of the main lake. We spent most of the day floating around the dock in the water in complete relaxation with no boats coming in close to us. We rented a boat for the other part of the day and were able to pick people up right from the dock and allow everyone to have a chance out on the water for awhile. The house itself was clean and had plenty of towels for the group. We had a mix of couples and single folks, so the bedrooms worked out perfectly with the rest of the group staying on the bunk beds and pull-out couch in the large game room downstairs. The large kitchen worked out well for group meals. Some neighbors are not too far from the house on the lake, but we felt that we had our own escape without any disturbances. Overall, it's perfect for a group relaxation trip!

The house is a great layout for multiple families. One couple complained of a clogged shower in the basement, but that was the only complaint the entire visit. I would definitely recommend this house to friends. It was large and very open.

I called Tiffany Jones number () on Thursday morning (5/12) to ask if it was possible to inspect the house early, to determine what supplies we would need to bring. The At Home operator said she would have Tiffany call me. I never heard from her. I again called Friday morning (5/13), and told the operator that I had not heard from Tiffany. She said she would check in to it, and definitely have Tiffany or someone else call me. I never heard from her again! Then on Sunday morning, I called to see if a late check-out would be available. The person who answered said she was an answering service, but she would have someone call me in the next 30 minutes. AGAIN ... I never got a call back!!! I'm not sure if Tiffany ever got my messages, or what else could have happened. Even if my requests were not possible, all someone had to do was call me and explain. All I know for sure is ... that is no way to treat a customer!!

The adults had their own beds and the bunkroom was a perfect size for 7 kids. The inside of the house was great and we didn't need a thing to enjoy our time there. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and watching the sunsets. The outside of the house could use some cleaning and the outdoor furniture needs new cushions. We had a wonderful time and would go there again.
