This is a beautiful property on a very special island. If in doubt, just go there! It is so quiet that you can hear the hummingbirds flying in to the feeders. You can actually hear them before you see them. The apartment itself is beautifully done with natural cedar trim. Truly wonderful!

This property is perfect for two or three people. It is serene and comfortable with really good energy. We just loved being there and definitely recommend it.

We loved this spot! We really loved that we were close enough to town - but secluded enough to be so super quiet (except for all the birds!). The spot is right on the water, and we even got to swing on the deck a bit. The screened-in porch is the best thing about this place. So magical in the morning with a cup of coffee!

The tree house is very clean and quiet. No problem with check in or out. Close to town to walk or bike. Kitchen is stocked. All you need is a good pair of hiking boots and food. There are a few good restaurants and only 2 or 3 little trinket stores. If staying a few days I would suggest bringing a car to get the most experience of the island. This islland is for the adventurous spirit. Hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching, photography. Come get away from the grind of everyday living and just enjoy pure Michigan at its best.

The apartment or the treehouse as some called it cause you are up in the air with the trees was just adorable!!!!. The 2 sliding glass doors with the 2 decks was so inviting, there was a nice breeze thru out the apartment. You could hear the loons And other birds all day - so relaxing! The rest of the apartment was lovely as well. Can’t wait to go back!!

Convenient to town and the west side beaches. On beautiful inland lake. Apartment is very well thought out and equipped, a little roomier than it appears in the listing photos. Great hosts who were on site during our stay in main house. Faces southwest with sliders to open and screened decks so there’s always a cool breeze. We’ll go back.

The apartment has all one needs, almost new and close to town or beaches, in a private woodsy setting and a view of the lake. It's inviting and comfortable, with enclosed and open porches, welcoming anyone to enjoy slow paced life, walking, biking. Owners are especially helpful.

Our small family stayed from Aug. 3-10 and had the time of our lives. This property gives just the right amount of peaceful retreat and access to Beaver Island fun. Mary Beth and Mike were thoughtful and helpful.

Nice location and close to town. We loved the screened in porch and spent every morning out there with our coffee. Really lovely beach just a mile away for swimming and watching the sunset.

We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment. Others have called it a "tree-house" experience, we would call it a "formal" tree-house experience! Apt is brand new, with all the amenities and absolutely loved the screened-in porch, lake and the extremely comfy swing on the dock. My husband and I loved our time here. Its about a mile walk one way into town and a mile walk the other way to the beach. PERFECT, as we walked a lot. We had beautiful weather the week we were there (July 4 week) bonfires, sunsets, good food and shopping. Beaver Island is a gem of a place to visit! Thank you so much Mary Beth and Mike for creating a refuge for others and the kindness that you showed us!

Very easy to deal with Mary Beth and Mike. They made us feel welcome and were very friendly. Great tips for getting around the island and the best places to eat. We would stay there again with no hesitation what so ever. The unit was exactly as it was advertised, clean and bright and super comfortable. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation !!!

Lovely Beaver Island apartment on Font Lake. Close to town for access to dining. But far enough away to listen to loons and woodpeckers. Font Lake is beautiful with beaver, many birds, and loons. The apartment is well furnished for a multiple night stay.

If you are looking for a place to run away from the "tyranny of the urgent", this is your place! Set on a beautiful inland lake, it is quiet, perfectly appointed and peaceful. Located a mile from the town, it is an easy walk or bike ride to get an ice cream cone or sandwich, and a mile from a beautiful beach to watch the sunset. Mike (the host) was incredibly helpful in offering suggestions for beaches, drives and quirky place to visit. A swing on the lake was the perfect place to read and relax, listen to the loon's song and gaze out at the stars at night. I'd give this a 6 star rating if that were an option!

As before, 2 years ago, we were aw-struck with the peaceful and welcoming people of Beaver Island. And it all starts with where you stay. The Lyon's get away is perfect for my wife and I. Perfectly appointed, the one bedroom apartment above the garage gives couples the notion they are in a tree house (since you actually look out of every window at tree top level). A HUGE plus is the screened in porch. Lots of bug free meal times and leisure reading with your feet up on the comfie furniture. The lay out completely caters to a time of relaxation and rest. The place is spotless and you only need to bring your clothing and pick up some groceries in town. We would peddle our bikes (brought them over on the boat with us) to town daily for all kinds of enjoyment - even line dancing! Thank you to the Lyon's for sharing their space with us. I can't imagine anyone would go away disappointed.

We love this place! As long time visitors to this special island we've stayed in many places and many locations. For just the two of us (or maybe three or four) this is our favorite! Private, comfortable, convenient, great hosts, and the tranquility of an inland lake can not be matched. Then there's the Loons! What is it about their hypnotic call that is so universally adored? I doubt we'll ever know. Some things need not be explaned or understandstood they just need a Spirit to embrace the Magic.

I love everything about this place. A great place for two persons. Quite and peaceful. Its great for taking in some natural wildlife and fishing. Looms, Storks and beavers are active in the mornings on Font Lake. Rented a boat and motor for 3 days and caught fish every day, even on days with wind and choppy waters. Soaked up the sun at the southern end of the Island and enjoyed the sunsets at the northwest end of the island at Donegal Bay. The screened in porch in the back is great for relaxing in the mornings and evenings. It's like being in a tree house. It's just a great place!!! Just be sure to rent your car space on the ferry well ahead of time, but it you can't get the car to the island then just rent a little Geo Tracker to get around. Lots of fun exploring the island. Just can't get enough of Beaver Island.
