We felt that property was described appropriately. Location was very convenient to the beach. Janet was very nice and responsive. The house is large and has everything for your stay. The linens and towels could have been better quality. House was clean with only issue in the bathrooms where there was hair left in drains and on shower walls. The area itself is not as nice as Fort Lauderdale, St Pete’s beach and the restaurants/ bars on boardwalk were average.

We had a bit of a snafu checking in, but Janet took care of it very quickly and after that the stay was perfect. You can not beat this location. If this cottage is available, do not pass it up. We had four adults staying and was very comfortable. One item is that the listing says the second bedroom has twin beds, but it is a queen or a king bed. I would definitely stay again!

My husband and I, along with my sister and brother-in-law rented Janet’s home for a week and enjoyed our stay very much. You can’t beat the location and the home was clean with all the amenities we needed.

Janet was excellent in communication about check in and out and the house was beautiful inside and exactly as advertised. Plenty of space for 4 people and very close to the Broadwalk just 100ft from the beach. The house was clean and we would stay here again! Highly reccomend.

The property is less than 1/2 block to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet at night. The unit is large & spacious, comfy furniture, great beds & pillows. The a/c is ice cold- mandatory in South Florida. Windows are sealed well, so no humidity seeps in. Kitchen is fully stocked, plenty of dining spaces. All the beach stuff you need; chairs, pool toys, towels etc. the swimming pool is nice, and has a shady sitting area. There is a beautiful bbq area, and the entire property is well maintained. I will definitely contact Janet on my next trip to Hollywood Beach. Loved the place. 😊

We stayed at Janet's house the week after Christmas and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for our family. We have 3 teens and Janet made an extra "room" with a great blow up bed for our daughter. The house had everything we needed ( except pepper, which was no big deal at all ). The pool is right out the backdoor and is heated, which we really enjoyed. The beach is so close, it's no big deal if you forget something you can just pop back to the house and get forgotten items, perfect location. We showed up early and Janet let us check in right after they finished cleaning. Janet also referred us to a few restaurants'...Le Tub was so much fun, the food takes forever, but it was great to sit and have a drink and watch the boats. Hopefully we have the chance to stay at Janet's again, it was great!

Pros:- Location: it was right across from the beach and great location on the Broadwalk. The house is kind of on the edge of most of the shops/restaurants. It's a quick walk to the heart of it all without being right in the middle of the madness (down by Margaritaville it was really busy and crowded, so I preferred to be a little removed from all of that).- The owner was very nice. We stayed over Christmas and she left treats for our kids and was helpful with recommendations on places to eat.- Pool was a nice amenity and was heated, which was extra nice because we had some chilly days that were too cold for the beach but we could still use the pool.- The rental had some things available for use which were nice not to have to buy. Things like beach towels, foil, cooking oil, etc.Cons:- The property is in need of a deep clean. It appeared clean enough upon check-in, but on the first day, our kids' feet were dirty on the bottom from walking around barefoot in the house which tells me it wasn't mopped, at least not thoroughly. Then we discovered mouse droppings in the cabinets and drawers, and roaches in the kitchen. We didn't leave food or messes out or have excess trash to cause any bug issues. While it was nice to have some essentials left in the property for use, it could stand to be rid of things like extra leftover food in cabinets or extra clutter to maybe cut down on the bug/mouse issues.- The key situation is not ideal. The key to get in was left in a lock box and it was easy enough to get checked in, but the front door lock and deadbolt, side door, pool key, and back door lock and deadbolt all have different keys. There is a key holder in the kitchen that held all of these keys and then some on different key chains and most weren't labeled. Some went to the doors, some didn't unlock anything, so it was a lot of trial and error to figure out what keys went to what and then remember which ones were needed to use. Not a huge complaint, but kind of a hassle and it'd be easy to just eliminate the keys that don't lock anything and label the ones that are needed for use.Overall our stay was ok. It's really the cleanliness issues that make it to where I wouldn't rent this property again, but that is easily fixable if the owner addresses it. Location is perfect and Hollywood Beach was really enjoyable.

First time renting at Hollywood Beach, Fl wanted to be near beach and Janet's house exactly met are needs for 2 bedrooms and parking. The house is nicely done, bedrooms are nice size with King beds, nice bathrooms. Kitchen, living room all nicely done. We were very happy with our stay, Janet is an excellent host and communicated with us during our stay. I would be happy to rent from her again.

This property could not be better. Highly recommend. Hollywood Beach is a mix of older small homes sprinkled around big hotels and condos. This is one of those cottages with a fantastic location. Location: Unbelievable! So close to the boardwalk (called Broadwalk) and a beautiful stretch of beach. It was a 15 min walk to Margaritaville Resort. Tons of restaurants dotted along the boardwalk --- every type of food imaginable. Go to Landshark on Friday night (or New Year's Eve) to overlook live music playing on the boardwalk. Interior: Clean and spacious. 2 king beds. We needed 3 beds and there is a queen air mattress. Plenty of space. Fully provisioned kitchen -- we were able to cook simple meals. Dining table for 6. Both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker. Garbage bags, dish soap and first paper goods provided. Bring your own personal toiletries like shampoo. Full cable tv's in all bedrooms and shared space. Parking Space: Parking is difficult in Hollywood and this unit has a private spot for 1 car. This is essential. Groceries: Small market about a 5 minutes walk on boardwalk. Bigger groceries are a 10 minute drive. Pool: there is a small plunge pool shared by residents. I never saw more than 2 people there. Laundry: small washer and dryer -- very convenient. The owner asks that towels and big loads be run at the laundry next to the pool. Takes 8 quarters for washer and 8 quarters for dryer. The owner is very nice. She truly wants you to enjoy this home.

Janet, was a wonderful host. She helped my family after another home we had reserved, cancelled our reservation as we tried to check in. She literally saved the day. Her home much larger than expected, and is steps away from the beach. We will definitely be back! Thank you Janet, for sharing your home with us!

My teenaged daughters and I immensely enjoyed our stay at Janet's cottage. It is so close to the beach that I didn't need to fret about forgetting something; I could just go back to the house and get it! The cottage is lovely and private and has everything you need for a comfortable beach stay. Restaurants are close enough to walk to, yet far enough away that you don't hear their loud music from the cottage. A bonus was that the Adventura Mall is a short drive away. We drove there for my daughter's birthday and it literally was the nicest indoor mall I have ever seen!

Thank you Janet for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. We were originally going to stay at a resort but were happy to find a more cozy option. Janet's home was private, clean, spacious, and exactly what we needed. So close to the beach, we could run in to use the bathroom or grab something no problem. The boardwalk was a happening place at night but far enough away from the music and people at that end of the boardwalk that it washt disruptive when we came home. The boardwalk was a great place to walk every morning too. Next time, I'll rent a bike or rollerblades, becsuse we didnt take advantage of that. We didnt bother with a car and other than if we wanted more groceries it really wasn't necessary. Janet graciously picked us up some items and saved us a trip. The weather was beautiful every day and the beach was pristine and I miss it immensely. The only negative was having to leave so soon. Thank you! Stephanie

Janet’s Paradise is a beautiful location with access to the beach, boardwalk, pool, activities, and highway. I can’t wait to visit again.

We stayed for a week in February. The weather was sunny and in the 80s all week! Janet's seaside cottage was lovely! Comfortably appointed, clean, and in a quiet complex. It was just steps to the Broadwalk, and the beach. There were comfy beds, plenty of extra linens and a kitchen with all the comforts of home. She also had plenty of beach chairs, and even beach bags to haul all of our stuff to the beach. We would stay there again for sure!!

Janet's cottage was wonderful! Exactly as described and just steps to the beach. We unfortunately picked a week with a lot of rain but we were very happy that we had Janet's cottage to spend some time out of the rain. The kitchen was fully stocked and the closets were full with so many amenities (beach chairs, towels, canopy, etc.). The beach was nice and quiet outside of Janet's cottage as well as the pool area. We stayed at this wonderful bungalow for a week in mid April 2018. The distance from the beach cannot be beat! It truly is 50 steps away so it was easy to run back to the house for forgotten items or for lunch. The home has everything you need for your vacation. The kitchen is full stocked with pots and pans and the bathrooms have towels and hairdryers. Beach chairs, towels, and a cooler were available for the beach days. The location is perfect. Easy to walk the broadwalk to several restaurants/bars and stores but far away enough that it is really quiet. We also took advantage of the pool which never was never crowded. Although it is not needed if you plan to stay in the area - there is an Enterprise rental car store just over a mile away. The owner was easy to communicate with to answer questions and make recommendations for dinner (Nick's Bar and Grill is amazing and Taco Beach Shack has great deals). We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Janet for sharing your home with us!

The cottage was beautiful and spacious for my 9 year old niece and me. The boardwalk is very close but you have to walk a few blocks to get to any open restaurants or shops, at least during the week. The property owner, Janet, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate a few requests during our stay. The pool on the property was nice and my niece enjoyed it daily. My only less than glowing comments have nothing to do with the cottage but there was a lot of traffic and pedestrian noise. We arrived on a Sunday and it was non-stop until late in the evening. It was less of an issue the weeknights we were there. This is the only downside to being so close to the beach (1st world problems, right?). 🏖� Food and drink is pricey which you’d expect in a tourist area. We ate out a few times and the bill was never less than $50 for the two of us...unless you count the $18 for two ice cream cones at Edy’s. You may want to consider a grocery run or use a delivery service if those prices give you sticker shock. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’d need to cook a meal and we enjoyed the convenience of not having to go out for every meal. Overall, we had a great vacation and highly recommend Janet’s place!

Janet’s Beach House was the perfect getaway from the New England weather. The location was exactly as described, just steps to the Beach and Boardwalk. The house is completely furnished with everything you will need and is in immaculate condition. The pictures on the Web do not do it justice. Beds are very comfortable and the climate control system works beautifully. We really enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back.

Thoroughly enjoyed a month's stay in Feb 2019 at Janet's cottage. It hit on all the right buttons for us: closeness to the boardwalk, steps to the Beach and many Restaurants & Bars, Short driving to many attractions & shopping galore.... Met many fellow vacationers in the Pool and BBQ area who were mostly returnees and we know why... the amenities and location were ideal. Weather was also great for the month....... We are already booked for the next two years........ Lots of time for R&R., and simply having pool & beach days..

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Janet's cottage on Hollywood Beach. The cottage was spacious, nicely appointed and in a great location. We had local friends and family stopping by so the parking garage across the street was great for guests if metered spots weren't available. Janet was also very accommodating to our needs. A great way to spend the Christmas holiday!
