This was such a fun property for our family ! Close to both the beach and bay and great restaurants. We really enjoyed the 2 bikes and rented more at the shop e-rides down the street. The host was amazing to communicate with and check in was super easy ! Loved our stay!

Our family fit perfectly in this large home with ample room for 12 people, we were so pleasantly impressed. The home was stocked and ready for everything we possibly might need! Loved

We loved our stay at the Kemp family beach home! Besides being a beautiful and comfortable property with fabulous amenities, it was the perfect location for access to the ocean, bay and The Point where we attended a wedding. So many features that made our stay so comfortable: -The top floor with large kitchen, living room with a comfy couch for a quick nap!, and big deck with table off dining area-a few in our party loved sitting out there drinking coffee in the early morning. -We loved the design of the kitchen, its appliances and how well stocked it is. There is an abundance of counter space, cookware, serving dishes, cooking and eating utensils, storage containers and more. We didn’t do any baking, but had we wanted to, there was no lack there. -Night lights strategically placed throughout the house - bedrooms, bathrooms & hallways. -Kleenex available in the kitchen and every bathroom. -Two paper towels on holders in the kitchen. Items we used that made our stay more fun: -Two well-maintained beach cruisers -Beach chairs & coolers -Horse shoes - such a hit at our beach get together! Other highlights: -We were able to park a 2001 Toyota Tacoma and 6 seat golf cart in the garage! People stopping by to visit were able to park in the space in front of the garage. -Teresa was very prompt to respond whenever we contacted her and accommodated our request for early check-in. -Nancy, the property manager, was helpful and provided clear instructions.

Had a group of 12 of us traveling to San Diego for a long friends weekend and the house was great. It’s in a great location if you plan on going to the beach and it’s also a great location for visiting different places around SD has the house is perfectly 15-20 mins away from all the major attractions. I would say the place does sleep 12 but 2 of the beds are in cubbies which might be a little tight for adults. We made it work though and really enjoyed our trip

The place was a great location and very easy to walk from the Ocean beach to the Bay beach. It was well stocked and the family had a great time overall. The parking was a major concern, we had a mini van and even at an angle it would not fit in the garage. We had two vehicles and neither was a good fit in the garage. It is made for small cars. There is long term parking but it is not on the property. You could park along the garage door in the alley, but they came and told us to move the car if we didn't want a ticket. At least the officer was considerate and it so happen we were leaving at the time he had come by. The place is fantastic for large families like us, we had 6 kids under 11, and they had a blast.

We spent a wonderful 4 nights here with family and friends celebrating our daughter's college graduation. The kitchen is so spacious and just perfect for a large get together. It is incredibly stocked with just about anything you would need. I appreciated that all bathrooms were stocked with toilet paper, kleenex and paper towels in kitchen. The deck was a nice place for the younger generation to hang. The dining room table is huge. The living room area with TV is smaller than we expected but we spent most of our time in kitchen, dining area or deck. There's a "secret" roof deck that is accessible by ladder. Bedrooms are good size and love that there were 4 bathrooms. Lots of stairs so be prepared for that. The garage does not fit a regular sized sedan unless angled and one car fits in front of garage so I can't imagine fitting 3 cars. Thank you for a lovely stay!

This house is nothing short of amazing. Anything you think you need in the kitchen is covered (I mean anything). The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The loft spaces are cool, but maybe for littler kids - teenagers found them a little tight to deal with and the attic stair access to one loft partially blocks a hallway. Parking is tight. PLEASE measure your car(s) and compare to the floorplan dimensions to ensure that your vehicle will fit in the areas provided. There is additional parking nearby but it's pay to park and not ideal. Regardless, we would TOTALLY stay here again. The Host even shipped back our kid's waterpik when we discovered that we'd left it!

Had an amazing time in San Diego and mission beach. House had a great kitchen to cook and gather in. Having the beach toys was great because we had a pick up soccer game on the beach nearby.

Pros: Fantastic Location and this is the reason to book this place. Really appreciated all the amenities provided like beach toys, chairs, bikes, coolers etc. There are 3 chairs in living area and the couch. This was nice for large group and I didn’t remember seeing 3 chairs in photos although I could have missed it. Great property for a large group. The outside hand held shower wand was great for helping to keep sand out of the house. Beds were comfortable. Communication with Teresa, the owner, was quick and easy. Cons: Communication with Nancy, the manager, was not as efficient as communication with Teresa. It appeared most of the neighboring properties are rentals and noise until 3am was a problem on the weekend for our group who stayed on 2nd level bedrooms. We could not get the Wi-Fi to work but we did not need it so this was not a problem for us. FYI Parking is tight even for small vehicles. Beware of the dimensions provided. Would definitely stay here again with a large group.

Great location!

This place was the best stocked VRBO we have ever stayed in. There are lots of stairs, so be prepared if you are unable to do stairs. We were fine with them, but just be aware. Perfect location and the listing was accurate and the property manager Nancy was responsive to our needs!

3 flights of stairs is challenging but the 3rd floor is where you spend all your time and worth it. With kitchen, living & dining room with deck all open and huge skylight, we had plenty of room for 7.

We had a group of 10 family members from infant to grandparents. The kids all absolutely loved the house and its many nooks to explore. The living area had plenty of space for everyone to be together and you can't beat the location. The property manager was very responsive and accomodating throughout our stay. The kitchen was well supplied. Loved the beach toys! We would definitely stay here again!

This property is all about location, location, location! It is in the heart of Mission Beach; 1/2 block from the “bay” beach and about 2 blocks from the ocean beach. There are coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance; and the iconic Catamaran resort is a 3 block or so walk along the “bay” beach. If you go at a “beachy” time of year, this is a great place for a family. The only downside is the parking. The place will sleep 10, which implies multiple couples or families, but the parking is hard if you are using more than 2 small cars. It is always a juggle. The space in the garage for 2 cars is extremely tight - just be aware of that. We had 2 priuses in the garage and a Rav 4 under the eaves. We spent a lot of time moving cars. But we also had lousy weather (February, so we knew that it might not be beach weather) and thus were not walking many places. If you plan to just be by the beach and not drive much, this is a perfect location!

Enjoyed our stay. House was great. Plenty of space. Very cool area of San Diego. Would come back for sure. Only complaint, no shampoo or soap in the showers:(

A 4 bedroom, three story home in a quiet neighborhood very near Mission Beach and Pacific Ocean. Location was great... we could walk to either body of water easily. Owner provided great amenities - beach toys, towels, beach chairs, boogie boards - for outdoor fun. The kitchen was fantastic - lots of stuff! Spacious dining and kitchen prep counters which made cooking for 10 of us easy. Loved the grill and roof top access. A very homey atmosphere, very clean and well maintained! Property manager very helpful and promptly replied. We would definitely stay again!

We loved the location of the property! Only 2 issues, but it wouldn't stop me from booking again. The room for 3 parking is not really the case unless you have tiny cars. My daughters compact rental couldn't even fit in the garage. I would say you can fit 2 very small cars. Second, although the listing says it sleeps 12, I would not have that many adults. Really, you should only have 6 adults if you want actual double beds. The two "loft" areas are not what I considered a loft. One is a bed through a cupboard door in the stairway. Not for adults, but my grandson LOVED it. The second "loft" is a double bed that you can only sit on and you have to access through a roof hatch. The kitchen was stocked with all the kitchen equipment you could need. The beach chairs and toys we great. Overall, I really loved this place, it was just awkward sleeping for 10 adults. The location is my favorite part. You can walk to the bay or the ocean in a matter of minutes. Also, a great coffee shop and gyros within walking distance.

Excellent location, spotless and beautiful home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days at the Mission Beach House. It really is just steps to both beaches. We enjoyed walking on the bay path in the morning and stopping for coffee. The Greek restaurant was excellent. Yes, the house has stairs but no problem for our group of age 0-65. The kids loved the bunk nooks! Kitchen had everything we needed and everything worked great.

Excellent location. Lots of stairs, though, so can be tricky for the elderly or little ones. House is nicely equipped. Just love the area. Thanks!

A fun place for our adult children to come and enjoy being together. The quiet bayside was perfect for our toddler grandson.

This rental was the perfect way for us to enjoy San Diego as part of a trip for a wedding. We found the house it spotless condition with an incredibly well-equipped kitchen, including a gas barbecue, and all the bikes, boogie boards, beach towels, games, that you could hope for. The communication with the owner and property manager was prompt and clear. The location is amazing, providing easy access to the bay, the beach, and the rest of San Diego. We wanted to cook and have friends over and the full set of dishes, appliances, pots and pans, high quality stove, and BBQ made that fun and easy. Ralph's is 5 minutes away. We have high expectations when we travel, and this listing met them all.

Just stay away from the heat wave 100 plus wasn’t ready for that haha. other then that house is amazing relaxing morning and nights . They had all the stuff to relax or to have fun at the water. Would stay again

Close to beach and bay. Plenty of room for our family of eight. Grandkids had a blast sleeping in the bunks. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need. Riding bikes was the boardwalk was my morning ritual. Highly recommend.
