This is a beautiful, welcoming home. Every possible amenities available. Well stock kitchen ( just bring your food). Great yard for outside fun. Close to the new River gorge, Summerville lake. Recommend Pies and pint's for a meal. Visit the Gaines estate on Wednesday night for karaoke. This has such an amazing history to it. This is owned by the same couple that own Sugar Creek Chalet. If I could I would give it a ten star review.

The sugar Creek chalet was fantastic. We loved everything about the property, including how private it is while still being close to everything you could want to do.

Great location, wonderful yard areas, fantastic fire pit, private and the home suited us just right. We’d stay here again and again.

Our party of 10 (4 adults, 6 kids) had a great time at the chalet. Our kids especially loved the expansive front lawn for wiffle ball games and all of the nooks and crannies in the house for hide and seek. The location is very central to so many outdoor activities in the area. The chalet was well-stocked with bathroom necessities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc), laundry detergent, kitchen tools and utensils, and linens. The absolute only thing negative is the bedding for the adults (queen bed and full bed) weren't the most comfortable. Sizing up to a king and queen would make it perfect.

The property's location is perfect to explore the New River area. The property was clean and maintained very well. Lot's of amenities for your stay. Bill and Sally were very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend if you are in the New River area.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful and well maintained. We were so close to all the activities the area has to offer. Highly recommend. The owners were highly responsive.

We held a family reunion there (family from Washington State, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Ohio). The place was very clean; the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, newer appliances, etc; the decks were enjoyable and the kids and adults enjoyed playing in the yard. The owners were right next door and very friendly. It was a great location in the country (quiet) but very close to town and stores. We were super impressed with the cleanliness! Definitely recommend this place.

We brought our high school girls basketball team to West Virginia to do some team bonding and whitewater rafting. The house was perfect. It had everything we needed, there was plenty of space, and it was in the perfect location. We can't wait to come back!

We loved the house and the location. Area felt very private and safe. We enjoyed walking the property, playing in the yard and using the fire pit almost nightly. The house feels open and the kitchen is very well-stocked with everything you need. We would definitely stay here again!

We rented this place a second time because it was perfect for our family weekend. With plenty of places to sleep, 4 bathrooms, and a fenced in backyard for the dogs, it is perfect!

We have family in Indiana and North Carolina, so the easiest place to meet for the holiday's is in the middle, Charleston, WV area. Our family celebrated Christmas and New Year in this home, great experience. Room for all to sleep, eat and celebrate. Cleanliness was exceptional along with all the needs of kitchen, towels and furniture. Highly recommend this location for a family of 14 to meet, plenty to do also in the area.

Sugar Creek Chalet was beautiful. Clean with a wonderful kitchen. The snow we woke up to on Sunday was an added bonus. Plan to come back hopefully sooner then later.

This property works well for our group and the fenced backyard was great for the dog. The property manager, Bill, is very responsive to any needs and helpful with local information. Another great weekend in the books!

The house and location are absolutely beautiful. The house was well stocked and very clean. The problem is that the listing states up to 15 guests. After the final payment was made (too late for a refund) we were told by Mr. Wells that the price listed was for up to 10 guests and we would have to pay an additional $35.00 per guest per night over 10. The listing says $25.00 for additional guests. Very unsavory!

Everything was as listed. The children enjoyed playing in the huge front and back yards and also the basement with all the games. The large fire pit and the screened in porch were also a hit. Nice size rooms and a great kitchen/dining area. Communication was good too.

we had a fantastic time with friends at this listing in fayette county. very close to fun outdoor activities like rafting, kayaking, biking and very close to fayetteville. the outdoor fire pit was the center of the weekend when we weren't playing outside.

It was a great space with lots of sitting and eating room for our group.

This chalet was very clean and spacious. The large kitchen that was nicely furnished made cooking for our group convenient. The private spacious yard was perfect for family games! We were able to quickly access our hiking plans and the lake in little time. Thank you!

What a beautiful home with lots of space, great location, and everything you could possibly need! Very clean and well kept. Near 19 but secluded with beautiful piece of property! Would definitely recommend!

Really nice home for a large family, lots of space, nice kitchen, wonderful porch. Beds aren't the softest but lots of space to spend time together.

Great location, only 2 miles to national park, hiking, rafting. Property is big enough for kids and dogs to run. Private , we had 14 people and 2 dogs.
