This property is beautiful and great for families! We had a great time shopping and coming back to relax and play games. Plenty of space. Easily walkable to South Haven's main drag. Overall great experience.

We were so glad to find this unique schoolhouse for our Pals weekend! Nicely decorated bedrooms, beds were super comfy, dining and living room are very large with great space to hangout. And a huge master bedroom with king bed and private bath. well appointed and super clean. Chalkboard in every room, very charming! So close to the beaches and shopping. Definitely recommend it and we will come back!

Overall great property. Clean. Well-stocked. Nice mix of modern amenities and old schoolhouse charm. Loved the chalkboards! The location is super! Quick walk to the beach, playground (a big one) or downtown, but out of the hustle and bustle of a lot of people. Grocery store (which has a little bit of everything) is about a five minute drive. Owners were wonderful to work with. We had a chance to simply chat with them about how they came to find the house, future plans, etc. It rained during our entire stay, so we did not get to utilize any of the wonderful outdoor areas that are on property. I will have to make a return trip to check that out. Which I will for sure be doing!

Great location and historic spot to call "home." We were a short walk to South Beach and within walking distance (but we drove) to the downtown area for dinner and some shopping. Location is super convenient to everything. The house itself is clean, beautiful, accommodating, and updated. We enjoyed the little details that related to the old school house it used to be. The kitchen was huge and had everything we needed to cook a few breakfasts. The sitting areas were comfortable. Only two of us stayed, but this would be a great place for a larger family or group of friends - lots of space! The master bed was hard as a rock, but that's the only negative thing I have to say. Everything else was perfect. Beautiful landscaping, the garage was nice to be able to park in, and the chalkboards were fun :) Hurry up and book - a note from the owner stated they will be making this unit their residence in 2024 and it will be off the VRBO market!

Wonderful place to stay! Place is much better than the pics show...and bigger than it shows! Stayed with our 6 and 10-year old grandkids and it was perfect. Fun on various chalkboards, foosball table, firepits, walks to downtown, and easy access to a playground and South Beach! Property is fully stocked with all you need.(Will just have to bring your own beach towels, chairs, etc) Owners responsive to needs and questions. Will EASILY return here!

Charming and spacious with a comfortable walk to the beach and town. The chalkboard walls provided some fun through the week with games and messages. The bonfire setup was very comfortable. Generous space for our family of 5 and friend. Really enjoyed our week and had great weather too.

We love staying here! there is room for all of us and lots to do inside if by chance it rains outside. The sunsets are amazing!! The shops are fun and the ice cream is AMAZING Jennifer and kirk do all they can to make our stay perfect!

Great place in a great location. The unit is much bigger than it looks in the pictures online. The old classrooms are huge. Very clean and accessible. Easily walkable to the beach, kids corner, and to town. Be aware, the upstairs unit is up three flights of stairs. Not an issue at all for my family, we had a great stay, but if stairs are an issue you should know.

Beautiful historic school building updated with all the modern conveniences. Three blocks to sunset and beach. Few walkable blocks to town. I want blackboards all around my house now! ☺️ The rooms with those high ceilings felt so spacious. It was really nice to have the garage to store our bikes and beach stuff in. My two 3 yr old Grandchildren had plenty of room to run around in the great room! We all enjoyed our stay very much!

A fun, unique & relaxing home. The hosts were wonderful and the house had everything you’d need for your stay. I’d definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area. Close to the beach and downtown.

Comfortable, clean and nice distance to walk to beach and park. Lots of space for family to hang. Nostalgia of the old school house added to the atmosphere. Would love to stay here again. Just a note, it does involve lots of stairs for this particular unit which was no problem for us.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Indiana School House - lots of room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We had a short walk to the blue stairs at Lake Michigan and also a short walk to town. The owner was very responsive to our questions. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Indiana School. The property was so spacious and had everything we needed. It wasn’t far from the beach, downtown and the playground. We could walk to each of these locations and would stay there again. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond to our needs.

It’s a wonderful property. It’s spacious, well appointed, and our kids loved the foosball table. The owners were also extremely communicative and answered any of our questions quickly. We’d love to return here.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the School House property this past Memorial Day weekend! There were plenty rooms for our large group. Everything we needed was provided in the home. Walking distance to shops and Beach! Will definitely visit South Haven again!

This is our 2nd visit, which was highly supported by our four children ages 6-12 years. We stayed the week between Christmas and New Year's and just needed a little holiday getaway. We went skiing at Timber Ridge, about 40 minutes away, and stayed indoors and played a lot of games. It was the perfect home for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay again. Also, Jen is highly responsive and one of the best hosts, even while out of the country, and took care of everything we needed. We sincerely hope to be back.

This was our third year staying. The whole family enjoyed our stay. The place is big enough if everyone wants to be in space but also offers spaces to get away from each other. Many family memories were made!

We've stayed here about 5 times over the years. We keep coming back because of the space and layout of the home. Everyone loves it and we are thankful that we have a wonderful space to enjoy our fall tradition.

Huge space! Clean and well appointed. Bring your own coffee and soap/shampoo. We had a little trouble finding the correct door to the unit after getting the key (maybe the owner could put a B by the door?), but the couple renting the other unit helped us out. Love the garage parking, and secure space to store our bikes!

Just a few blocks from the beach, the old school house had plenty of space and decor was "old school" (in a good way!). We'd definitely recommend it!

We loved the historic schoolhouse as a place to stay as a family of 5. So spacious and tons of character and charm. We loved using all the chalkboards. We walked to the beach, kids corner park and into downtown…everything we needed! We hope to be back!

We love this place for all kinds of reasons - it is a historical building, it has lots of room and great amenities, it has garage parking, a grill and fire pit, and it is close to downtown SH and to the beach. We are grateful for the use of the beach toys and little red wagon. The price is very fair. We hope to make a trip to this location a family tradition.

This schoolhouse was beautifully updated with charming character left intact. Perfect for our large family of 7 (5 kids 10 and under!). Everything was clean and exactly as described. I would stay here again!
