We had a wonderful week at the Casa de Palmas. Comfortable lodgings. Clean pool and hot tub. Nice, quiet neighborhood and quiet beach. Mary, the owner, was very welcoming and responsive to all our needs. Couldn't ask for a better host. The house is right on the beach with a front-row view of the kite surfers and surfboarders zipping back and forth. We'll definitely go back there for another vacation before long.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend for a group of friends or family. There were plenty of activities to choose from that Mary helped with coordinating. We really enjoyed the access to pool and hot tub and daily walks along the beach. The house is very spacious with a bathroom for each room which is a nice plus. We loved renting the Quads from Mary to ride along the coast, a definite in Los Barriles!

This was a family reunion with grandparents down to an 18 month old. it was a fantastic location and we had such a wonderful time all together. It was a very safe location. it is definitely an ex-pat community which is a plus or minus depending on your preference. We stayed mostly on property and just had daily runs into town to visit the market etc. I would highly recommend the property. Mary was a great host and the property is very well cared for. My only complaint and it really didn't affect our group too much is the wifi is really unreliable and cannot support many devices at once. Since we were there for vacation and not working it wasn't really a problem, but if someone was wanting to work and teleconference, I don't know how easy that would be. Overall a 10/10 experience and I would recommend this property to anyone.

Excellent place for family reunion Great pool and location on the beach . Close to town and next to turtle hatchery .Such a treat to watch baby turtles being release to the ocean every morning ! Mary was an excellent host she provided a welcome dinner for us and ideas for activities including fishing for dorado and 4 wheeling . Highly recommend .We will be back !

This was the perfect home and location for our family vacation - we have been visiting Los Barriles for over 25 years and this home /location was definitely the best one yet. Fully equipped with everything you need. Pool was beautiful and just steps to the lovely quiet sandy beach.The welcome meal was great and the chefs went out of their way to please everyone. Mary was a fabulous host and communicated well. Thank-you - we would love to visit again soon.

I can't say enough good things about not just the home, but the location, the amenities, the views, and how welcoming and helpful Mary was. She really thought of everything to make our vacation an experience we won't soon forget. We enjoyed watching whales, dolphins, sea lions, and manta rays all from the comfort of the deck! She has sun hats and sunscreen already there, to help with those items that are hard to travel with. The beds were comfortable and we all got great sleep. The pool was amazing! We finished many evenings in the hot tub reminiscing about our wonderful memories made that day. If you're considering booking this house you won't be disappointed.

We couldn’t have been happier. The property was absolutely gorgeous, and Mary was wonderful to work with. She was very quick to answer if we had any questions, and the location was perfect for our group. Close enough to town to go to dinner, but secluded enough to have some privacy. We LOVED our experience and can’t wait to go back!!

We booked Casa de las Palmas for a last minute family vacation this past June and could not have been more pleased. Mary, the owner is very engaged and on top pf everything. She coordinated grocery shopping before our arrival, booked transportation to and from the airport, fishing trips, ATV rentals (delivery and pick up at the house), and local chefs who prepared every dinner during our stay. The property itself is large, secure and very private. We felt comfortable leaving everything out and the house unlocked when we were not there. The layout of the house is very nice with lots of bedrooms spaced out for privacy and all with AC. The centerpiece of the backyard is the pool, which was perfect for finding some shade in the early part of the day and a refreshing swim later in the afternoon. The main house upfront has a large living and dining room, with sliding doors all along the wall that open to the patio. The patio has a large dining table and sofa for relaxing in the shade and taking in the view of the beach and ocean. The house has all the amenities you could want and the location is great (right on the outskirts of town but not right in the middle of it). One last mention about the chefs who cooked dinner for us. Our experience would not have been the same without them. Every night they treated us to a delicious dinner at the dining table on the patio overlooking the beach. We're planning to return again next year.

We celebrated Christmas/50th anniversary with our family at this property. It was an incredible experience. The property is spacious, well equipped and in a very beautiful, quiet location. The home is clean, with a housekeeper arriving daily to straighten up. A beautiful pool area is located in a sheltered area and provided plenty of space for all of us to hang out. The children also loved swimming in the ocean which is steps from the home. We loved being able to eat all our meals outdoors on the patio which contains a very large table and provides for an outstanding view. The location is about a 15 minute walk along the ocean to the town of Los Barilles. In our 10 day stay, we had the pleasure of having the chef and his crew prepare our dinner 5 times. What a treat! The meals were all very delicious and very good value compared to eating in a restaurant. Mary provides an optional shopping service so when we arrived our food and liquor was there. This easily saved a vacation day that would have been used for shopping. Mary, our host is an amazing person, who is accessible to any detail and thoughtful to providing special touches. We all hope to return to visit here. Our teen granddaughters all agree this was the best family holiday ever. They loved the accommodations, swimming, snorkelling, horseback riding, exploring a very interesting area and experiencing some memorable cultural experiences. Highly recommended for a big group experience that exceeded our expectations.

I have been returning annually to stay at this home for 5 years and each year has been fabulous. I have also recommended it to friends who also have had great experiences here too. Prior to my finding Mary and her amazing home I had been comping down to the area for 18 years and have stayed at a variety of places none of which compare. From the location (walking distance to town), the amenities, and layout of the home, it is top notch. Having a host that lives in town is a great help. Mary can help arrange any activity and is more than happy to help. I can't wait to return next year!

Mary is a wonderful host. She helps beforehand with plans, communication, and coordinating anything that is needed. Daily maid service was a nice bonus! The house is beautiful and has private areas for everyone. The beach is right out the front gate. Everything was safe, comfortable and welcoming. Los Barriles is a gem of a town and exploring different areas of Baja is a must!! Our family trip included 7 of us and we were all pleased with our accommodations!

We were a group of 10 men fishing and stayed at Casa de Las Palmas for 5 nights. What a joy it was to stay so close to town and the beach. Mary welcomed us with a fantastic dinner on the patio of tostadas, chili rellenos and the chefs even prepared fresh sashimi of our fresh Tuna caught earlier in the day. She split all the kings into twins so everyone had their own bed, and had daily housekeeping. The house is every bit as nice as the pictures. Very well stocked and Mary was available for anything we needed. I would recommend Casa de Las Palmas to anyone with a large group...she just finished another bungalow that has 8 bunk beds, 3 sinks and 2 bathrooms. This house is perfect for large groups!

Casa de Las Palmas was perfect for our extended family, which included 2 young children. The pool area and jacuzzi are lovely (and perfectly gated for the little ones)! Mary's driver as well as her recommended chefs were top notch and we very much enjoyed the meals they prepared for us. The wifi wasn't great, but Mary is working hard to upgrade and fix this. All in all, we had a wonderful week here.

We had a wonderful super bowl weekend... a fantastic welcoming dinner,,, top of the line accommodation... will definitely stay again.

High light was having chefs (3 of them) come in and cook dinner. A fraction of the $ for a restaurant, and infinitely better quality - such as 1 day old marlin carpaccio.

We spent a magical week with family and friends at Casa de Las Palmas. It could not have been more ideal. Plenty of space for families, private pool and hot tub (and it's actually warm which is novel for Mexico), gorgeous beach front property and an incredible staff to make our stay a true vacation. The shuttle service was comfortable and reliable and the food was absolutely delicious. Mary was responsive, super helpful and incredibly kind. Thank you for a week in paradise!

Pure bliss. We loved everything about Casa de Las Palmas. The beauty and comfort in this natural paradise was perfect. The landscape alone created a space we did not want to leave. Walking on the beach or swimming in the pool was 100% satisfying. The graceful design of the house allowed for comfort night (amazing stars) and day. We loved the kitchen and the ease of purchasing fresh organic produce and local fresh seafood. Mary was lovely, attentive and kind. She gave us lots of options of things to do in the area and allowed us privacy to feel like we were home. We hope to return again some day.

Our two families ranged in age from 8 to 85 and fit comfortably in the home. Mary and her team were very accessible to us as we needed them, but also kept their distance when we didn't. The house was well stocked. Mary was a wonderful host. She had top-notch references for day trips, chefs, and anything else we desired. We were able to create our own adventures and also felt supported and had a great home base. The beach is amazing. We saw the manta rays jumping every night. One night we grabbed our snorkel masks and went swimming with them - they formed a wall of silver elegance about two feet underneath us, something we will never forget. We took a day trip to Cabo Pulmo to go snorkeling, which was also amazing. We rented ATVs and ventured on the arroyo - experienced the dessert and the waterfall. So many adventures in just a few days. We need to come back

Wow! What an amazing home with the perfect set-up for multiple families or large groups. So much privacy and everything you need is there! Mary was great in helping us get everything set-up and showing us the ropes at Casa Las Palmas. We loved the private pool, and the steps to the beach are just unbelievable. The kitchen had everything, perfect for cooking and enjoying, we BBQ'd on the first evening while the kids played on the beach. Love the home and cannot wait to go back to LB again! Would reccomend this property to anyone looking for an amazing location on the East Cape.

I am one of five siblings who bravely decided to have our first sibling reunion, with spouses, two weeks ago. We chose Casa de Las Palmas based on previous reviews and low cost and short time getting to the SJ Cabo airport from the SF Bay Area airports. We couldn't have been happier with our decision. This is an amazing space, with privacy for all, and a beautiful pool, hot tub and wonderful beach access. The kitchen and living room space were very comfortable and allowed us to gather each evening with ease. We decided to have Benny and his helpers, Alma and Marian, prepare meals for us three of our nights, and we couldn't have been happier with their cooking, presentation and clean up. What a treat! Mary had given us one free meal of Benny's cooking the first night which was quite a treat after traveling all day. We enjoyed the swimming, hiking to the falls, a day trip to La Paz (the whale museum is amazing.) Some in our party loved the 9 hole golf course in town, which was quite fun, even for avid golfers. The beach was clean, the stores in town had everything we needed. Our vacation was simply wonderful! We want to thank Mary for her commitment to helping her guests. She responded to my inquiries in a timely manner and helped us in arrangements for transfers, recommendations for restaurants and in arranging with Benny for meals at the house. We recommend Casa de Las Palmas to all.

Mary's property and hospitality are unsurpassed. There were 13 of us - 10 adults and 3 children ( 11, 10 and & 7 ) - 3 generations and everyone was so happy the whole time. The children would not get out of the pool, except to go out the front door and down to the beach in front of the house to ride the boogie boards or kayaks. The temperature of the pool and hot tub was perfect. Adults loved it too. Mary is the best of hosts. She is available to problem shoot any problems immediately and goes above and beyond. She even picked up my daughter and son in law from the bus station when they called to inquire about directions to the house!!!! The house itself is laid out beautifully - expansive and interesting. Also I have 2 other recommendations. Rent a quad from QUAD GIRL - so much fun. And they are the best company in town. Make the time to go north 30 minutes to Pescadero and snorkel. No one else was there and just lovely. You cannot go wrong choosing to stay at Mary's. All of us thank you, Mary.

Our extended family of 13, (10 adults and 3 children, ages 1, 7 & 10) just returned from a fantastic week long holiday in Los Barriles and all agree that Casa de Las Palmas is the best house we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in many throughout the years)! The house is so well laid out and thought out, extremely comfortable and well equipped, that we immediately felt at home. Beyond the comfort of the spacious house and the beauty of the beachfront location, the ease of the booking and assistance owner Mary and her crew gave us made the holiday superb, from offering to do our shopping for us so the house would be stocked with our requested groceries when we arrived to arranging to have delicious dinners cooked nightly in house for us by wonderful chef Jorge and Miriam (among the best meals I’ve ever had!). Our holiday got off to a very good start with Max’s airport pick up and Mary greeting us and showing us around the house when we arrived, followed by a lovely welcome dinner of traditional Mexican food. From the awe-inspiring views from the expansive veranda, the beautiful beach outside our door, excursions on ATVs to the arroyo waterfall, delightful snorkeling up the coast, enjoying the lovely swimming pool and hot tub and lounging on the deck and patio, we all had a wonderful vacation in Los Barrilles, with Casa de Las Palmas the jewel in the crown! We hope to return soon!

Everything about our stay at Casa De Las Palmas was incredible. We searched for an unforgettable property to celebrate our mom's 70th birthday and had 6 adults, 5 kids (ages 2-9). This property was perfect for all of us. Mary is by far one of the best owners you will encounter through rentals. From the moment you reach out to her to the moment you wrap up your stay, she will ensure everything is taken care of and perfect for your specific needs. She is also incredibly well connected with EVERYONE in the town, and was always available if we needed help. We simply reiterate what the other reviews said about the property, beach, pool, spa, flower gardens and "extras" being second to none. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone. A few particular highlights: -Ample room and privacy, even for a large group. We also liked the late November time frame, seemed like many expatriates we met, were just arriving for their long stays. -Beach front, plus shielded and "very kid-friendly" private pool and hot tub. Once you get your beach time in each day, it is wonderful to enjoy the quiet pool and hot tub. -Chef dinners - Rogelio and Miriam ended up coming every night for dinner. This was our first chef experience and if you have never elected to have a chef, do yourself a favor and make sure you have them come at least for a couple of dinners. They are incredible and absolutely worth every penny -Pre-stock the fridge - What an awesome service to have all of your food and drinks there waiting for you when you arrive. Again worth every penny and Mary and her staff worked so hard to find all of the items we requested -Amenities and extras - You will have more than you need of everything -Kids loved the pool and sand toys, ocean kayaks, geckos, lizards, dogs and sea turtles being released every morning on our beach, plus watching kite-boarders all day was awesome -ATV and UTV/side-by-side rental - Through the company Quad Girl, per Mary's recommendation, plus discount. What an incredible experience. If you have kids or are adventurous, be sure to rent a couple vehicles and visit the waterfall. Quad girl personally delivers the vehicles to Mary's house for your use and picks them up 24-48+ hours later. We will always cherish the unique experiences we had in LB riding these to places you could probably never experience the same way in the US -Transportation - Seamless through Mary Thank you Mary and your staff, we sure look forward to returning!

Wow! What a wonderful property! We had a family vacation at Casa de Las Palmas in July and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The property is expansive and yet contained so that there is enough room and privacy, even for a large group. We had a party of 10 and there were ample opportunities for both togetherness and time away. The beachfront location is convenient and supplies incredible views throughout the day. The house has so many "extras" that would be additional costs if we had rented another property- SUPs, kayaks, and snorkeling gear just to name a few. The pool is amazing- the pictures do not do it justice! On top of that, Mary is fantastic and has thought of everything! She was friendly, helpful, and available. She also responded to questions very quickly. Rogelio and Miriam came twice to cook for us and the food was delicious- we almost had fights over their apple empanadas. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casa de Las Palmas- it's wonderful! Thanks you, Mary, for such a great vacation.

Everything about our stay at Casa De Las Palmas was wonderful! We had 8 adults 3 kids and the rooms were perfect for all of us. It was the perfect combinations of relaxation and activities. We all enjoyed having the beach just out the back porch as well as a private pool and spa. The house was stocked with everything you would need from games, to ping pong, kayaks and a hammock to enjoy a quick nap. Mary the host was exceptional. She attended to our every need. We elected to have the chef prepare dinner and breakfast and it was one of the best decisions we made. Rojelio prepared the most delicious meals and was able to accommodate a wide variety of tastes including vegetarians. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

This is a truly awesome property... our second time there! We had 8 adults and 6 children ages 6 months to 9 years of age. Enough space for everyone, with the villa and casita. Plus the property is so large that, between the beach/huge front facing the ocean/quiet side areas/large pool, there were lots of places for kids and adults to hang out. Mary (the owner) has an awesome chef for catered meals, and if you feel like going to a restaurant... there is a great one you can walk to in about a minute! The villa comes with a well equipped kitchen, lots of beach towels, life jackets, snorkel equipment, sand toys, etc.

We have been visiting Los Barriles for about 19 years and this is the 4th year we have stayed at Casa de las Palmas. This is a fabulous home, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The separate bedrooms and baths work out great for a group of guys or a family. Right on the beach, great for watching spectacular sunrises and the fishing boats heading out each morning. It is an easy 20-25 minute walk into town along the beach. It seems Mary keeps making improvements to the home each year. The new pool, patio area and spa are great. The extensive landscaping in to the pool area adds to the beauty of the home. The jetted spa really hits the spot after kayaking or a walk or run on the beach. The new kayak wheels make getting the kayaks to the beach very easy. All in all this home is a great place to just relax or be as adventurous as you like with sail boarding and kite boarding just out the front door. I am looking forward to staying here next year.
