Great little cottage

Several cottages in the area, but this place is the pick of the litter. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed very comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. Highly recommend.

This experience was our 3rd straight year and we loved it a third time. Please see earlier reviews. The cottage is immaculate and kitchen is well stocked with the tools to make dinners. This year our cousins from Mallorca, Spain joined us for their first introduction to the Main coast Perfect weather and a visit of the resident bald eagle preening on a tree above the rocky beach.

The cottage was everything that we wanted for our stay in Maine, it's proximity to the water and the town of Belfast was wonderful and provided everything we needed for our week stay.

The house overlooks the most beautiful water and they have stairs to go beachcombing. The house is immaculate has a gorgeous jet tub I enjoyed and just the right amount of space for 3-4 people. Loved it! Thanks!

It’s more than a cottage. It is a very well maintained small house. On a perfect location with a great view of the water and access to the shore. We plan return visits. Possibly this fall and surely next spring.

The setup of the property is excellent and it's location is great as it is close to Belfast and is situated in an area that can he used as a base to explore this section of Maine.

We picked this cottage because of its location on the coast and its proximity to neighboring coastal towns and fresh seafood. It did not disappoint! We celebrated a birthday and an anniversary while we were there, and we could not have picked a better place. Honestly just sitting in the chairs watching the ocean was worth the trip. The hostess was so friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and places to visit and was nearby if we needed her. We were sad to leave and will definitely stay there again when we make it back to Maine.

What a wonderful place to enjoy the sunshine AND the fog of the Maine Coast in the fall! We were fortunate to have 3 days of beautiful sunshine & fall warmth…followed by 2 days of fog and then a day of downpour. Truly felt akin to those who live here. The cottage is so comfortable….I was a bit concerned ahead of time that it might be cold inside…however the gas fireplace and what seems like plenty on insulation kept us toasty warm. Placed on the bluff, right above the bay, is so special. We drove to Acadia Nat’l Park, toured Belfast, ate lobster, oysters, scallops (and hamburgers!). The cottage is a treat…so worth the visit. This is a wonderful house to stay in!! The view from the house, at any angle because nearly all windows face the water, was perfect! The private beach and quiet neighborhood was very nice. The bedding was comfortable. All was very clean and we loved our stay there. Sitting by the fireplace and watching the water was great! Would return here again for sure!!!

The cottage was beautiful. Very clean and open and had everything we needed, including atmosphere and accessibility to all the local things we wanted to explore. Ann was wonderful with communication and made sure we had what we needed. Would reccommend for a nice getaway up the coast.

The cabin is in a great location for all the small towns and Acadia National Park. As far as the cabin itself,it is immaculate and has a cozy fireplace,a comfy bed and an Awesome view of the water. I highly recommend this place.

This cottage is beautifully updated and very clean as well as well furnished with everything you need. The front yard view is wonderful. The communication was excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Could not have asked for a better location. Cottage is in prime spot of complex. Cozy cottage but plenty of space for family of 4. Kids loved exploring the beach and sand toys. Property was very clean and well-stocked. Would highly recommend and would book again.

This was our third year staying at the cottage and it never disappoints. The layout is awesome and the views are tranquil. It’s clean cozy charming and we love staying there. Very comfortable nicely designed cottage, great location on the water. Loved the screened in porch.

This is our second time staying here. It is the perfect location on a secluded bay. Ann provides a warm, welcoming cottage with everything we need. The beds and pillows were very comfy and the towels were plush. The kitchen had three types of coffee makers, beautiful dinnerware and flatware and the washer and dryer came in so handy!!! Waking up with the view of the sunrise over the bay and watching the tide roll in were my favorite uses of the screened in porch and cozy chairs. We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Maine. We’ll be back!!

Great spot. Good location.

The Somers' house is located in a small community of cottages of approximately 12 others, with a spacious green belt commons in the middle. These cottages were spaced enough so privacy was insured. The house itself is on the corner of the community on a bluff above the bay. There is an easy access to the rock beach, down wooden steps, from which one can walk either way down the coast. Seals rest on rocks in the bay as well as there are a pair of eagles that nest a short walk down the rocky beach. The cottage's interior is modern, updated with amenities, and clean. Well stocked with kitchen appliances and tools. There is also a very comfortable living room with large screen TV. It has good wi-fi. Four adirondack chairs facing the bay with a wonderful screened in porch, which affords one an expansive 120 degree or more view of the bay's horizon, with Penobscot peninsula in the distance. Contemplate the mysterious 1888 Steele Ledge Monument Lighthouse (aka Belfast Beacon) always on view. Read more about this structure at the website, "Lighthouse Digest." In short, we had a wonderful week by the Belfast Bay.

The cottage is very clean and has a lovely, functional layout. The view of the bay is perhaps its most outstanding quality. Close to Belfast and other amenities. More private lot was appreciated.

Well stocked with everything you need. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Loved watching the tides on the bay.

It was just perfect for my friend and I. It is close enough to everything to be a great central location. The cottage It self was charming and clean and well stocked. I had to leave suddenly/early because of personal reasons and Ann was kind enough to offer a discount for next year. I truly hope to take her up on that. You won't be disappointed.

I loved this place and would return. It had beautiful views and felt bigger from the inside than it looked from the outside. I had packed everything we needed, but it felt like the owner ‘had my back’. Everything I may have needed was within reach. Owner was friendly and approachable. She also made some great recommendations. It looks like a rural area, but we will need to return to do many things it has to offer!

We had a great time. Wonderful location and house. We hope to go back soon.

My wife and I spent a long weekend here and it was perfect for what we needed. The area has everything as far as stores, activities, and this particular cottage (12) is right on the water. The cottage is well-stocked and very clean. I highly recommend it.
