The property was nice, but it was poorly managed. On Friday the 12th hen we tried to drop off our groceries we were told to get in a long line for people who were just checking in. We kept trying to tell him that we were already checked in , and we had a tag hanging on our mirror that indicated this. But the attendant kept shouting "get in line, get in line" instead of politely telling us where to park and directing us to the shuttle. My husband finally got out of the car with all of the bags of groceries to find the shuttle on his own. I had to find my own parking spot, then hike all the way up the steep mountain road. I asked the front desk if I could speak with a manager. They gave me her number. (What kind of resort has no manager on a busy weekend???) I called and left her a a message to call me back, but she never did. My intention was to have her retrain the rude gate attendant, but obviously someone needs to retrain her first. We have skied and traveled all over and have never had such a poor resort experience. The unit owner was polite and responsive, so no fault of hers. But we will not return to Sugar Top.

Property was in a nice location overlooking the ski resort and close to Grandfather Mountain attraction. Overall the place is nice but needs a lot of renovation. Everything there is very outdated, but resort staff are very friendly. Taking the shuttle to and from your vehicle can be a inconvenience as well. Staying here I would recommend for a short stay.

Smooth experience. Was told the property didn’t allow pets, but saw several dogs on property. Would have brought our dog, but left her at home because we were told no pets on property. Coffee maker had coffee grounds still in it with mold. Other than that, no problems.

It was a very beautiful place, nice and relaxing and everythign we needed for our stay to make it comfortable was provided. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your place, we really enjoyed it!

We were pleasantly please with Ruth's Banner Elk home and as a place for us to stay to snowboard at Sugar Mountain. The amenities were plentiful at Snow Top as we had a pool, two hot tubs and a sauna to relax in after coming in off of the slops from the day, in addition we felt safe there as well as letting our children venture over to Sugar Mountain by themselves giving my wife and I time to venture out and explore Boone as well as Banner Elk. We'll definitely book this again down the road.

Unfortunately, upon arrival I found piles of dirty linens and towels all over the place. I called the unit owner and she promised me to help find another available unit at the resort and also full refund for her place. She did connect me with the person who was able to rent me a unit for the same nights, but as of over a week later I receive no money back.

Condo was a little dated on fixtures and decor but very well kept and clean.

Spacious enough for our family of 6. Adds a little to drop off at entrance and park in lot. They have a shuttle that works off tips. Only minor is the decor is dated, but unit was clean and would stay again!

My family stayed here as our launching point for waterfall hikes. We enjoyed the views from Sugar Top. Owner was responsive to inquiries. Great space for our family. Very quiet. The only negative is you have to use a shuttle between parking and the condo building. They have a good system and it's really not difficult, just a bit inconvenient when you forget something in the car and have to run back for baby wipes.

Great location. Eye level with the fireworks. Property was a little dated and AC didnt work, it ended up in the 60s at night so no big deal and we spent very little time in the room. The staff at the resort was awesome!

This unit was pretty good. I would say the only negatives are that it had no washer/dryer and it's a bit outdated but other than that I would stay there again. All the front desk/shuttle guys were great too!
