Love the location but the key lock did not work and kept me up all night beeping the first night and the internet never worked which was not good since the Smokey air caused us to be inside more than we planned

Absolutely great and convenient location! So much to do without having to travel far to do so. Beach and pool were only steps away. Kids had lots of fun and entertaining them was easy for us parents. Condo had all we needed for our little family. Would love to come back again.

I would only rent this again for location.

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for resting and cooking. WiFi, AC, refrigerator and everything else worked flawlessly. The parking slot is located on the same level, just a couple feet from the apartment entrance (no stairs). The apartment has a balcony with a breathtaking view on the lake. Both the lake and the pool are 1 minute walk away, so we spent most of our time in the water.

Unit 47 was everything we expected. The balcony with the view of the lake and the beach was nice surprise.

owner was great and property and location was great but if you want to be in a boot camp with the manager / drill sergeant please don't stay there not a good experience.

Beds were extremely worn. No dish soap, full of small nats since screen door torn. Dirtier than I was expecting.

We enjoyed our stay in this studio with a lovely view of the lake, a private beach, and conveniently located near town, although we spent pretty much all our time on the property either in the pool or lake. The property is very well maintained and quiet and the studio was well stocked with everything we needed. We would love to come back and stay again!

We migrate to Chelan for a week’s vacation annually for the last decade. This time we needed extra space, so we VRBO’ed- our first. Though I received an email that said it had our “keys”, it did not- and no other correspondence did. We arrived without a door code, and I messaged the owner, then called and left a voicemail, to no avail. Sadly, he did not respond until 1:30pm on Monday- our check-in time was 4pm Saturday. Apparently someone (Kelly?) didn’t send us the email with all the info, but I didn’t know that till Monday. If the property manager Samantha had not been so kind as to let us in and then use her manager code after 2 hours of non-response, we would’ve been stranded- or required to take turns missing our hard-earned vacation so we could get back into the condo. Most of the condo was nice- couldn’t really hear any neighbors, WiFi worked flawlessly for my daughter to get her college courses done, and the A/C was great- but there were crumbs in the sheets in the fold out couch bed. Obviously someone didn’t follow directions and strip the bed, but it would have been nice to not have been the ones to discover it. We also found a bonus opened ice cream container in the freezer. There were COVID restrictions not in the listing that we didn’t know about until arrival. Specifically, we could not use the mooring buoy (which was okay bc we had moorage with the City) but also we weren’t supposed to park the jet ski trailer up top either, which would have thrown another problem into the pile if Samantha had not made the exception based on all the other issues. We were not allowed guests- at all- which caused a lot of extra effort when it came to dinner with the family (we had some of our household in the City RV park and some in this condo). We weren’t throwing parties, we just wanted to eat dinner together as planned. I recognize that property restrictions are not individually applied, and not the owner’s responsibility, however the lack of communication about these was. I truly hate to write reviews that are anything less than stellar and typically won’t, but in this case we had HOURS of trying to get into the rental without any luck and after a long drive and temps in the mid-90’s, we were tired, hot, and frustrated. Definitely not the start to vacation we had hoped for.

The lake is beautiful, our condo was perfect for our family , nice sandy beach, pool and hot tub....we went water skiing every morning and enjoyed the pool and lake every afternoon.....Charles was very helpful....and his place has all the accomodations....the only problem was with the booking on the computer......it was a hassel.

I booked this for a provider of mine going to work for the hospital in the area, and she said the property grounds were absolutely stunning. She had her family come up for the weekend and they had a blast on the lake and raved about the scenery. Everyone was super helpful for check-in and the house was immaculate! Could not have been more pleased with the feedback I received from her!

We loved how Spader Bay is so close to town. My kids loved the pool and the beach. There were so many fun things to do in town from the putt putt golf to the water slides. The condo has a great view of the lake.

The condo is really nice! It was a great small private community with lots of families, plenty of private beach, a large pool, well maintained and clean facility. Guests seemed respectful of the quiet hours and other condo rules. Will definitely plan to return with my family in the future! The studio was just right for 2 people or a small family. Conveniently located, and all the instructions were very helpful for accessing the rental. Thanks Charles!

Spader Bay is wonderful. The unit we stayed in was very clean and nicely maintained. However, the sofa sleep has seen better days. It really was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced if it is going to be advertised as a sleeping option. The Murphy bed was however in very good shape and quite comfortable.

I woke up every morning for a week to look off the balcony to a beautiful view of the beach .

Nicely updated unit, well located with a great view. Personally, probably wouldn't stay again in a studio/Murphy bed unit--didn't like the experience of sleeping in a bed in the middle of the kitchen. Very high price given that. Also recommend that the owner remove personal clothes from closet & drawers before guests arrive; and in principal didn't like the required insurance that added to the price unless you were willing to put down an outrageous $1500 deposit which we did, but didn't feel comfortable doing.

Big pool and sandy beaches tucked away in a cute little cove!! Great family getaway! Will never go anywhere else!

We wanted a location that had it all...pool, lake access, and a quick walk into town. My sons fell and love and were ready to sell our house and move to Spader Bay!

Although the room is small it has a great view of the lake and the property is very close to everything in Chelan. Very clean property and we were often the only ones at the pool and beach. Would highly recommend.

We went to Chelan for the weekend and stayed at Spader Bay. The room was great, view was beautiful and we were close to everything. We would stay here again.. Owner was very responsive and friendly.

Simple Studio Condo - Walking distance to Chelan, ON THE BEACH, with Pool/Hot tub. Beautifully kept grounds. Unit itself could use a few comfort touches, but honestly with the lakeside setting, it's not really an issue. We will definitely be back! If you want more luxury book somewhere else, but be prepared to walk/drive anywhere you need to go (including the Lake). This place is the best of what you need. Cheers, Andy
