The condo itself gives a weird vibe with the mix match decor and uneven floors (floors slant down from living room towards the kitchen/bedroom area). The condo (especially in the master bedroom) had a strong mildew smell. The master bed was not comfortable at all and there wasn't really additional linens/blankets available. I actually slept on the couch (as is, without pulling it out, and that was fine). The complex itself is confusing to navigate (could use more signage) and the beach is definitely not great or pristine like advertised. During our stay, Oceanside was dredging the harbor which means there were huge oil looking pipes from the harbor on down the beach with construction fences and orange cones everywhere. The condo faces a parking lot and the train tracks. It appears to be the metro that passes through there the most so is quick and not too disturbing. I don't want to complain too much so here are the couple positive takeaways....the proximity to the Pier "downtown" and the Harbor are within walking distance. The price we paid to stay was on the more cost effective side so I guess I shouldn't really expect much. I wish the property manager would have mentioned the dredging part though.

We were so blown away at this rental. Rental was comfortable and clean and just a moments walk to the beach. We had an exceptional time here.

Our family was comfortable and happy throughout our Oceanside stay. We enjoyed the very well cared for property, pool, hot tub, common areas, and especially loved our walks to the pier. We hope to be back soon!

This was such a great stay! We really enjoyed our time here. The grounds are beautiful, and it is right off a private beach. We walked to the pier every day for a nice short walk on the beach. This location beats anything you will find downtown. If anything the hosts under sold the proporty. We will be coming back, thank you!

Beautiful grounds- immaculately manicured tropical-like paradise We loved the pool, hot-tub, work-out room, and sauna. These were very well maintained. We felt like we had the place to ourselves or only had to share with a few people. Conveniently located and secure The condo had a lovely kitchen and a beautiful tiled shower The bedding was clean and comfortable Clean condo- except the bath towels were damp and smelled musty. Also the bath mats were not laundered before our arrival. We would love to come back.

This was a great place to stay. We walked to the Oceanfront boardwalk everyday. A wonderful place to get away with the family.

We are staying here for the second time and are very happy with it. Many folks complain about train sound, but we hardly had any issues with it. Would be staying again in future.

The place is simple but great! Has all you need for two people and close to the beach. The grounds are gorgeous! But the best part was the hosts immediate and very courteous response to our inquiries! Troy is the best! Looking forward to coming back soon!

This was an incredible property at a fantastic value. The grounds are gorgeous and feel like a Hawaiian resort. We walked to the beach with the kids each morning before heading to Legoland. We played Foosball, billiards, swam in the pool, and relaxed in the jacuzzi. The condo was clean, comfy, and had everything we expected. TV was ready with streaming services. Cooking and making coffee was no problem. Highly recommend!

Condo is near the back of the complex, and a short walk from the parking spot. Owner had chairs and boogie boards available for use. The pull out couch bed is not the most comfortable, but kids didn’t mind. There was an AC unit the bedroom, and box fans available.

The property didn’t overlook the ocean from the side we were booked on, and the train passed 100x per day. As well, no toiletries are given to guests, just hand and dish soap. All of the hangers were pretty ratty as well. Also host was out of salt and pepper. My grandma is handicapped and we have to use the elevator. Ours went out 2 days into our stay and we had to go all the way to the other side of the units every time. The water was also scheduled to go out the day we were leaving due to maintenance. But all in all, the place was clean, the shower was hot, there were ample dishes, the oven worked great, and we were really close to the ocean.

The property was great. Condo was perfect. Neighborhood by the beach was a little sketchy at night with homeless. We would stay here again.

This unit has updated kitchen and bathroom and was very clean. However it faces the main road so it was noisy along with the trains.

We had a great time in California. The condo was clean with many amenities and close to attractions like the pier and the harbor. The complex is beautiful with many amenities and kept very clean. The check-in was a little challenging to find go to the right of the North Coast Villa sign on N. Pacific Ave. to find the check-in. We had some trouble with the TV and Wi-Fi but the owner is easy to contact and give us solutions to try. We had a great time and if we ever get back to California, we would happily stay here again.

Had a great time at this property. Great locations and great beach. Close to San Diego as well to do the tourist things as well. Place equity with all the toys you need at the beach as well!

This is a beautifully designed property especially vis a vis landscape and views of the beach etc (many units) If you get a condo with an ocean view and away from N Pacific ave you will have a wonderful time. This is what we requested and put a deposit on, we got switched to a view of the train tracks and hot car/boy racer sound effects of N Pacific Ave. This left a bad taste in our mouth re condo. The beach and the compact down-town are a walk friendly delight, bike ok too. Many eating spots available. We are from Arizona and the cool temperatures were as we hoped. We have plenty of sun at home and the marine layer was welcomed also one sunny day. Don't miss the Surf Museum!

The stay was great, unit was clean. We prefer a location that faces the ocean and that has an outside entrance as opposed to “hotel style”.

This is an amazing rental property that is super close to the water and has an tropical vibe for the entire facility. I loved staying there and would do so again

Excellent pool and courtyard grounds. Sandy beaches, waves and activities close by. Really easy check in and fantastic bedroom. Few things to know that shouldn't be deal breakers- only bathroom is ensuite to the bedroom though has door and does not require transit through the bedroom to get to but does require bedroom door opened to access. Train runs very close to unit and some nights there were multiple trains. Bit of a walk over a bridge along road to harbour side for sanitary beach. Overall great stay had two children pull out. Beds are very small but worked and they were happy. Condo is well appointed with items that may be needed for a very easy stay. Parking was secure behind electric gate. I want to say again – the minor things pointed out should not keep you from staying at this fantastic property. We had an excellent family stay for a week and would go back again without hesitation.

Property is awesome. Pools and amenities are top notch. Hot tub is wonderful. The condo was not. Pictures have a pull out couch and that is not the case when you arrive. Two single bed couches that no one can really sit or sleep on. Furniture overall in living room is unusable. Disappointing. We actually had it booked for Memorial Day weekend and cancelled because of this. Would stay at property again but not this condo.

I Love NCV! I have stayed at this complex 3 times now, and will be back! This place is the closest thing to being in Hawaii, while still being in California! Each unit has it's own owner, and that makes them different for each stay. For the most part the owners are great! The only thing I would say is, the pictures for the unit can be out dated, as this one was, which makes it hard to be sure what you are getting! So this time I was disappointed with the living room because it was not the same as the pictures. And the other issue was the person above us was walking back and forth very hard, Early in the morning, both days! We could not sleep thru it. The master bed could use a new mattress in this unit, but we still enjoyed our stay!

We have stayed in several different units in this complex over the past two decades and chose this property as it was a two week trip for just my wife and myself. We’ve have had more amenities in the past but found this unit very comfortable. The only downside was there was no comfortable place for two people to sit and wind down in the evening!! The existing couch with the two pullout low floor pads is not a couch or a bed! Replacing this for what is advertised is a must! We would absolutely stay again with this simple upgrade!
