The experience started off great. The condo was ready for check-in early, the kitchen was well-stocked (the knives were excellent!), there was a nice grill on the balcony, and the location was great - an 8-minute walk to the base of the gondola. The shuttle system was great - very reliable, punctual, and convenient. You definitely do not need to rent a car. Just don’t forget to tip the drivers! The management company was also excellent and very attentive. Prior to arriving, I messaged the host a few times, and she responded quickly to my first inquiry. However, I messaged her two additional times with some questions, and she was completely unresponsive. It wasn’t until I messaged her during my stay to let her know that she had mold in her condo that she called me right away. There are some key things that should be addressed immediately: • There is mold in the condo! And I’m not talking about a little bit of mold here or there. The queen bedroom has a serious mold issue, all over the door leading to the outside and the floor. The property management company had to send someone to spot-clean it with bleach, which in my opinion, does not address the root issue. My brother and sister-in-law definitely had respiratory issues, which compounded the elevation/dry conditions we all were dealing with. • All of the doors that lead to the outside area (bedrooms and living room) were stuck shut and took a brute amount of force to open. It’s odd that wood doors were chosen during construction, seeing that wood expands when wet. So when snow/ice melts, the doors expand and get stuck shut. • The queen bedroom has no dresser and zero drawer space for clothing. On top of having to deal with mold, you have to live out of your suitcase. Although there’s a small closet, its hardly enough room, and the lack of drawer space was extremely disappointing. • Although the robes for the hot tub were a nice touch, the queen bedroom did not have any, so we had a couple who were robeless. • There was not one full-length mirror in the condo. • There was no oven mitt in the kitchen, so we had to use the thin dish towel to take things out of the oven. • The garbage can in the kitchen was so small. The bags were big, but the bin itself was half the size of the bag (or maybe even smaller). With 12 people staying here, you can imagine how much trash we accumulated. For the cost of renting this place, I would’ve expected more.

Great place for a family vacation. Convenient, spacious, clean. Nothing negative to report.

This was fine. I’ve stayed at Trappurs Bear lodge mainly and this was not as updated and nice as Bear lodge. Condo is big, has plenty of bathrooms and seating for a big group. Easy to walk to lift. Hot tub in complex is tiny and fits maybe 8 people. Checkin could’ve been better due to a simple mistake on their part.

My family of 5 spent our Thanksgiving week at this lovely condo. It’s well kept, spacious and has everything you need to be comfortable. There was an issue with the cleaning fee being charged upfront and again at the time if check in. It was remedied after contacting the property manager. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it!!

I stayed here with a group of couples / friends for a wedding and we all really enjoyed our stay! All of the amenities were great and the staff was very helpful. Would stay here again

Not even sure the pictures do it justice! Incredible! Amazingly clean, so many amenities provided- toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, baggies, grill, really came with it all! Our kiddos had a blast in the pool! All towels provided too. Met so many nice people, many owners. Amazing mountain town that we really hadn’t heard of. Three families combined to meet here - our family of four, sister with her husband and four kids, and then a set of grandparents. Layout was amazing. Our family took one side of the house which had two bedrooms, each with a bathroom and even a hallway door which was perfect. Grandparents took the bedroom off the kitchen/living room which had a bathroom. The other family took the other side of The house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Property had a main balcony off living room which had wonderful outdoor furniture and you could see the pool. The other balcony wss off a bedroom. So many amazing things to do in steamboat on summer - we planned for gemstones, mini golfed, did tons of swimming, hiked fish creek falls, got ice cream at fuzziwigs, did the gondola up the mountain and hiked - would highly recommend this place for families! We are just a middle class Iowa family and this completely went beyond our expectations! And Lindsay was very easy to communicate with!

The check in process was slightly confusing for a first time guest, the check in staff was very helpful! The VRBO was beautiful & clean and had a fully stocked kitchen for any cooking guests may want to do! Our trip was in the summer and was such an easy commute to the downtown area, but I can only imagine how amazing of a location this spot would be for ski season!

We loved everything about the Emerald Lodge. This unit had it all, and the property / complex is both an ideal location and extremely well maintained. We'll be back for sure!

Hi Lindsay!! It was wonderful! The VRBO posting is what caught our eyes! The minute we opened the door we could see that it was better then the pictures! It was beyond perfect for our Family of 10! The layout was great and the quietness of each room was just what we needed! Walking to go skiing or snowboarding was perfect and getting around town was easy! We loved cooking in the kitchen and enjoying talking over family dinners! Lindsay you answered all our questions and Ryan at the front deck was great! Our group of six had plenty of room, plenty of privacy and plenty of fun in the space. The kitchen is fully stocked, the spa and pool nice after a day on the slopes. The shuttle service to/from the Gondola Transit center is top notch. We would highly recommend this VRBO.

Great location, beautifully appointed, and lots of space. Pictures don’t do it justice. The condo is beautiful and there is plenty of space for a large group. The shuttle to the gondola is convenient and fast. You can walk if you want but there is no reason when the shuttle is so quick. The VIP shuttle for trips to restaurants and shopping in steamboat springs is amazing. Could not be more convenient and efficient. If you are thinking of booking, don’t hesitate…you won’t regret it.

The property was beautiful and worked well for 5 couples. It was a little warm for our taste but we managed the temperature by turning off the heat and opening windows. The management was very responsible and the shuttle service to the gondola was quick. We'll come again!
