We loved staying at the Wheelhouse. The description was accurate. Overlooking the ocean amd hearing the waves crash was so relaxing. Thanks for being such great hosts..we will be back.

Great location and property.

Such a cool place to stay. Even with the long summer days of sunlight we never wanted to close the windows because of the natural beauty outside. The tide coming in and out alone was worth the experience. We stayed for a week and only moved our car once (and that was to go check out some of the views from in town and to experience the towns 4th of July parade. Otherwise, everything you need is walkable. Great place, great hosts, great experiences.

We had a wonderful time, it was close to the boat and nice to come back and have a grill to cook some fresh caught fish! Konna was great with communication and the wheelhouse was a fun place to stay!

Everything was excellent!

We like to spend the night in Homer before going out to fish at 6am for halibut. This location is directly across the street from the harbor making it easy to walk out and get on the boat. The house was very comfortable and clean. We will stay here again. The host was amazing as well.

We came to Homer for our son’s wedding. Our other adult son and his family came also. The wind really blew the night we were at the cabin. The water came up under the boardwalk the cabin is on. It was cozy warm in the cabin.

Communication was easy and great. Wonderful location and everything we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend. Place was clean and comfortable. There was 4 adults and 1 child.

This is a two story small house right in the spit. Short walking distance to the shops and restaurants and beautiful ocean views from the back balconies. The place is well furnished with nice touches , clean, and modern. If you want to be right on the spit this is the place to stay

The property was right on the water and we enjoyed the view! We appreciated the extra touches the hosts had done to make our stay so nice.

Awesome location on the spit, waves crashing right out the back door. Clean and cozy. We had both the lower and upper units and they worked out great for us.

Very charming property right on the water and boardwalk on the Homer spit. Small but comfortable and well decorated. Owners are awesome. Highly recommend.

We stayed there for six nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. The accommodations are comfortable and the place is as clean as can be. The views are beyond compare. The location on the spit cannot be beaten. I don't think that there is another place like it on the spit. Konna is a perfect hostess and made our stay absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough good about the Wheelhouse! It's definitely 5 star!!

This property was very cute and current (especially by Alaskan standards)! Comfy beds, great location. One complaint is that we had 5 people (which is exactly what’s allowed), but yet there were only 4 wine glasses, and 4 of some other items. Always provide enough for the amount of guest you’re allowing! Other than that, great place!

We adored this cute house on the boardwalk in Homer. Our kids were able to run in and out of the house all day, down to the beach by themselves and around the boardwalk because it felt so safe (the candy shop was a huge hit!) They loved using the swings under the boardwalk and we saw some great wildlife on the beach. The house itself it small but well-equipped, cozy and just what our family needed for our getaway to Alaska. Thank you Konna and Eric for the great stay!! Highly recommend!

The Wheelhouse is the perfect home base for a Homer vacation. An absolutely charming space perfectly situated on the water and the boardwalk. Easy access to charters, restaurants, and shops with the waves to lull you to sleep at night. We enjoyed the wildlife viewing off the back decks. Hosts were super responsive and helpful too. Great experience!

This house was fantastic and we will absolutely be back! It is literally on the water as well as the boardwalk which we loved! The view was the best part for sure. It was very clean and had a ton of cute extras like coffee, tea, bathroom items, convenient charging ports, etc! And don’t forget to find the treasure box! 😉 The upstairs room with bathroom are like a hidden oasis and the deck up there was just WOW 😍 It was our morning coffee spot. Coffee shop right next store along with shopping and food make it so easy to relax and enjoy yourself. We will absolutely be back!

My family and I stayed at the Wheelhouse for 3 nights during our Alaskan trip, and I'm not sure what was better, the location or the owner. The location was right on the spit, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, charters and the marina. It's a really fun location, right in the middle of everything. The owner checked in on us several times, making sure we checked in and out smoothly, provided recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. Of course, there is the Wheelhouse itself. It's so charming and cleverly designed and supplied to provide so much in a small space. It's obvious that much thought went into the set up. The kitchenette has everything you need; we even made homemade soup one night. If you are looking for a large, spacious rental, then this may not be the place for you. However, if you appreciate a unique, cozy space, with everything you need and access to all the spit has to offer, consider renting. My husband had a great time fishing, but my Aunt, my daughters and I took the trip with Alaskan Bear Adventures to Katmai National Park and Reserve to see the bears. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and I highly recommend the company. They were organized, while prioritizing safety and were so respectful of the bears in their home! I also recommend the Fresh Catch Cafe (next door) for a good meal and the Two Sisters Bakery for a morning bite. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Homer. Just lovely!

Cozy, convenient property with beautiful view. Living space is tight but it worked out well as we were not spending a lot of time in the rooms. Great to be in the heart of the Homer spit...walking distance to just about everything you need. Host, Kona is warm and very helpful.

We spent 3 nights in Homer and stayed at the Wheelhouse. We loved the location and having the back deck right over the ocean. It is small but so well organized that we never felt cramped. It was great having my 3 sons sleep up top and my husband and I slept on the first floor. It was so well decorated and we were even given some Alaskan souvenirs that were much appreciated. It was a great place to stay!!! Jen
