Beautiful cabin in a setting with scenic views, a hot tub and a huge fire pit. We ended up with 14 and had plenty of room both in the common spaces and beds. The dining room table is is single cut polished tree trunk and makes a fun dining atmosphere. The host was helpful and responsive when we had a minor alarm issue and sent help out right away. We will def do this again.

Great cabin, had everything needed. High chairs, baby gates, crin. Beds were very comfortable. Great views.

It's Great grandparents all the way down to 18-month-old. we Love coming here. This is our third year here and we are so looking forward to making it again next year. We love spending time with our family together and getting away for our normal schedule. The owner is very easy to deal with and everything is as it appears. They have a very nice cabin and it's great for a large group.

We had a good sized group of 16 and never felt cramped. There’s plenty of games and activities for the whole family and enough space to get away, if you want, especially on the massive back deck! During our stay we had a few personal issues with our vehicle and a few with the cabin, but Ted, Crystal, and William were extremely helpful and accommodating through it all. Thank you for letting our extended family make memories together in your lovely cabin!

The property and location are beautiful. Some of the amenities at the property could be improved and or repaired. The pool table, foosball table should be maintained. Bathrooms are dated, but functional. Toilet paper not enough supplied and single ply like sandpaper. Paper towels, not enough. Some lighting fixtures didn't work and some burned out old florescents bulbs and no replacement. Soap, shampoo not supplied and they should be included in dispensers in every bathroom. All the 5 bathroom and kitchen are functional but dated. Loose toilet in the upstairs bathroom. Garbage has to be taken to the dump in Franklin or there will be a charge if left behind. The American flag on the front entrance is ripped and faded. The AC/Heat system is not sufficient for this size house. There are 2 thermostat (basement and main) and you can only either run Heat or AC at the same time. If the basement is cold, but the main floor is hot you cannot run them separately. It's either heat throughout the house or AC. This size house needs at least 2 separate units. Overall, it's too much responsibility on the renter.

Our stay was absolutely outstanding... 11 of us stayed mixed ages and a great time was had by all and we'd definitely book there again... Excellent location as well. We had a small maintenance issue and the owner. Responded immediately as well. The property manager and was handled better than expected. Thank you so much!

This was our second trip to this beautiful cabin. The owner has always contacted me quickly for any questions I've had. The cabin is always super clean when we arrive. This is the perfect place to get away for a few days with friends and family. Cannot wait until we can plan our next trip.

Overall really nice cabin. Everything was super clean and all of the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with everything. The cabin is remote but our cars had no problems with the driveway and most of us do not have 4 wheel drive. Only thing was we wish there had been more sitting room in the living room. For the amount of bedrooms in the cabin we could not all hang out together in the main living space.

This cabin is beautiful! It is open concept and well lit, both in and out. The beds were comfortable and the folks of Franklin are so friendly! We will be back!

We had 5 couples visit this wonderful mountain home. Great time. Good place, good location, and great service from owners. Highly recommend it.

We stayed 8 years ago and everything worked perfectly. There were nice toiletries, this time nothing! This time, I guess there was not enough time to do the cleaning Not enought towel/toilet paper, towels, old pillows, lots of dust, the oven dirty….etc… The communication with Ted (the owner) was great! Thank you, but please make sure to update the cabin, clean it properly and we wish you a Happy New Year!

What an INCREDIBLE week I had with my family for Christmas!! There were 12 of us. (ages 14-81) The house was just perfect! It was so clean and the beds were amazing. The sheets were so soft we looked at the tag to see what brand they were so we could buy them when we got home! My 3 young adult sons loved the hot tub every night and the game room. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and that really impressed us! I have NO complaints. The bedrooms fit us perfectly - the bathrooms were so clean. We enjoyed the area and made a day trip to Dollywood and another day trip to Gatlinburg. We also checked out Cherokee and went sledding at Highlands Outpost in Scaley Mountain. It was the best VRBO I have ever stayed in and was the perfect Christmas cabin for us. I would stay here 10000 times over. It highly exceeded our expectations. I have one small request - the oven may need to be checked because it took a long time to heat to 375 (It may just need some maintenance) Thank you Ted for the beautiful home! You helped us have the most memorable Christmas ever!!

Great house and our family of 14 really enjoyed it. In the area to ride the Polar Express train. Steep driveway with switchbacks scared some, but we made it.

The cabin was awesome. Plenty of room and bathrooms. The kids absolutely loved the game room. The kitchen table was huge and a great place to play games. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our five sons, their wives, and my husband and I stayed while we prepared for our youngest son's wedding. The cabin was perfect for us. We all like king beds, and they were so comfortable. The location was quiet and we rarely left except to get more food and supplies. Such a great place for family bonding. The two main floor bathrooms are not large, but we made them work. Everything else was perfect and exactly what we needed. The cabin is much prettier in person than in photos. There are five steps to the main floor for those with mobility issues, but all you need is there once inside. Highly recommend.

Wonderful time for everyone. Everyone in our family commented on how well they slept. The beds are so comfortable. The view was amazing and enough space for everyone to spread out. I spent lots of time moving around from the kitchen to the game room to the hot tub to the porch to the fire pit just watching our family enjoy each other’s company. 12 total and everyone was happy. The path to the cabin was not bad at all. I saw some comments that were not in good favor. Just take your time and watch for the signs and all will be good. Ages 3-86 and everyone had a great time!!!!!!!Easy drive to Asheville for the Mountain State Fair!

This beautiful cabin with its spacious deck and beautiful view was perfect for our family vacation! Having so many king size beds was a real treat! We also enjoyed the many games in the basement and soaking in the hot tub.

This house was perfect for our family of 11. Tons of space, beds were comfortable and the view from the hot tub was beautiful. The road up was a bit tricky in our 15 passenger van but we made it so probably anyone can.

Started off with a minor issue but Ted handled it right away and the Cabin was awesome and all 10 of us had a great relaxing time. There was plenty of room and cabin didnt feel crowded. The game room was huge with comfy sofa abd big tv. The deck was awesome with great views of the mountains. We seen 8 deer down the hill behind cabin and heard elk bugling. We spent every night going from hot tub to fire pit. There is a gem mine on the main road there is a stores and restaurants within 9 miles of cabin. It is 45 mins from Cherokee so we went to the casino one night of our trip. Cant wait to stay there again

We stayed at Teds Cabin to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Western Carolina. The cabin was beyond what we expected. Very clean and has everything that we needed plus! The hot tub was very clean and enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to be able to come together as a family and celebrate. Plenty of room for all! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

We had a great time with the family. The house was big enough for everyone. This is our second time renting this house. and we had Grandparents through great grandchildren both under 1 on the trip. we had a great time and enjoyed the cabin and time together.

We loved Archer’s Lair so much we had to write an all inclusive review to help other families have as wonderful of a time as we did! If you want the Cliff notes here it is: basically it’s the most perfect cabin you could ever wish to book and if you’re even considering it you should book immediately! This place is EPIC! It was the perfect fit for our party of 13 ages 10-70 and a corgi! For those who want more details-Hopefully this review helps .I’ll qualify this with: I’m very picky, I don’t really like staying in homes for vacation because I’m usually disappointed in the quality. That was NOT the case with Archer’s Lair. I’ll start from the beginning; The driveway: The driveway is not a suburban driveway you’d find in a cookie cutter neighborhood. It’s a mountain driveway. If you expect that-you’ll be fine. It was torrential rain when we arrived and when we left…we made it up the driveway with zero problems in the dark at 11:30 at night with torrential rain in a: minivan with 2WD, Mazda CX-9 AWD, trailblazer 2WD and a PRIUS! We actually had fun going up and down the driveway. If you have a vehicle and a license-you can drive up this driveway in rain or shine. The outside: The outside is pristine. A beautiful surround deck with gates making it perfect for your fur babies or human babies so they don’t escape. Looking out from the back deck you get an uninterrupted panoramic view of gorgeous mountains and the sunset. The firepit is even amazing! Brick enclosed fire ring with metal insert and even a pallet to stack your wood. Beautiful weather resistant adirondack style chairs with built in cup holders and enough to seat our party of 13! There is another cabin across the driveway, but it doesn’t interrupt your privacy or view . They even had a new roof put on while we were there and we could barely hear them working on it! You definitely feel like you’re the only ones on the mountain. The hot tub is clean & looks brand new! The kitchen: The photos of the kitchen do not do it justice! We were able to fit 4-5 cooking and have plenty of room! And the table easily fit our party of 13! The beds & baths: beds were comfortable with quality bedding! And a tv in each room is a bonus! We never had any issue with hot water or water pressure. Wifi: the wifi worked great for our entire party to use the internet. We could even stream a movie with just a couple instances of buffering. The conclusion : This place is absolutely perfect!!!

I absolutely loved Ted's cabin! The attention to detail and cleanliness were amazing! I one million percent recommend staying in this piece of art!

It was a great place to go with family and catch up. The game room offered the kids and adults plenty of entertainment. The hot tub has a fantastic view and was a great place to relax.

Arriving was a bit challenging, due to snow on the roads...however, once we entered the cabin, RELAXATION took over. We (family/friends) readily embraced the COMFORT of the cabin...plenty blankets, fire place. There was more than enough space for all (11ppl). We really appreciated the CLEANLINESS from top to bottom...including fresh linen & towels. The maintenance of the cabin is SUPBERB. All amenities were in place. I didn't have to pull out my crock pot, Keurig, or specialty pans that I packed. The huge game room added to the FUN...& having a TV in each bedroom was a PLUS. As the snow began to melt, we were able to venture out to the nearby casino (Harrah's). The owner was RESPONSIVE & ACCOMMODATING. We definitely ENJOYED our stay!!

Amazing home! Perfect for families with children and grandchildren. There is so much to do inside the cabin that it was difficult to get the grandchildren to go other places! It accommodated 4 of our grown children, 4 grandchildren and my parents with plenty of room to still lost! Very spacious and clean. The porches have gates to keep the younger children safe and dogs contained. The hot tub was a hit with the adult children and the game room was a hit for all. The owner made sure we had detailed instructions for everything therefore we didn’t have any issues or questions during the stay. Hope to be able to go again in the future! Only negative is we couldn’t stay longer! LOL
