We had a wonderful team at Marc's cottage, it's in a great location and is a beautiful property. We appreciated how immaculate the cottage was and how Marc reached out daily to see if we needed anything! Would definitely stay again!

We booked this house for our first visit to South Haven, MI. From the time we reserved the house, Marc was a great communicator and host. The house had all the necessities you might need when going to a beach town making it less stressful for packing. In addition to the groceries that we ordered from the local grocery store (which were delivered and put away by Marc prior to our arrival), he also left us some yummy treats (muffins, cherries, strawberries, grapes, cheese, crackers, and so much more). His homemade tart cherry jam was amazing as well!! The property was park-like with flowers everywhere, a garden, bird houses, squirrel feeders, hummingbird feeder, and a fire-pit (Marc supplied the s'mores ingredients too). It was so nice to sit in the backyard and read by book while wildlife were all around. We saw squirrels, birds, butterflies, hummingbirds, and chipmunks almost daily. My family and I were absolutely in love with the house and yard and were very sad to leave. We hope to be back some time in the future and will definitely try to staying at one of the two houses on the property! Marc, thank you for such an enjoyable stay!! You really are the best host! A++

The best Vrbo home ever have stayed at and I’ve stayed at many. The host is the best host I’ve ever dealt with he contacts you right back. When you have any questions he had all kinds of suggestions for us to do in South Haven had everything you needed in the home that you could ask for I will be back to this place many times over probably😊

We absolutely loved our stay! Marc is an exceptional host who has a passion for making his guests have a great experience from start to finish. Check-in was a breeze and Marc reached out to make sure everything went well. The cottage is tucked away from the road and very peaceful. This place has so many thoughtful details and amenities (especially for kids). We loved the delicious coffee options and we were able to make full meals with the fully stocked kitchen. We were easily able to enjoy all the local beaches and wineries. My parents were able to stay in his other home on the property which was also a bonus!

This property was exactly as listed and more. It was perfectly charming and conveniently located. Marc was a great host who provided everything we needed and more. He was easy to contact and went above and beyond. Having all items for my child like a pack n play, beach toys, wagon, etc. made this trip all the more enjoyable. We highly recommend this property and would gladly stay again!

Marc’s house is awesome! Super cute home and plenty of room for our family to be comfortable and relaxed! Super close to the beaches and downtown area. Marc is very friendly and attentive! Checked in on us to see if we needed anything and let us check out late in the hopes we got to enjoy one more good day while there, weather didn’t cooperate for the first couple of days plus the haze from the Canadian wildfires. The kids loved it, especially the old fashioned typewriter, games and art supplies! We would definitely go back and recommend anyone stay there.

As an owner of a VRBO rental plus we mainly stay at VRBO rentals when traveling, I know the importance of being a "premier host" and will say that Marc went above and beyond making sure his place was clean and have everything my wife and I needed and more!! We loved the privacy of this cottage and the short bike ride or walk into South Haven and the small beach area close by as well. Highly recommend a stay here for a couple or small family.

Marc’s place is wonderful. It’s super clean, beds are comfy and has everything you need if you’re staying in for meals and entertaining. I love all the decorative touches in the home. The property is beautiful and is either a long walk or quick drive into town. There is a local beach/park less than a mile walk away. We could even hear the waves when the wind was right. We would definitely stay there again.

Marc is such a remarkable host. I cannot say enough about how well he communicated with me from the very beginning. The thoughtfulness he put into every part of anticipating what we might need during our stay left us speechless. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the extras. The backyard was dreamy and the garage was filled with toys to enjoy. The bedroom and living room furniture was exceptionally comfortable and cozy. The vibe in every direction was that as guests, our host hoped we would have a great time, and we did. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful stay! Marc had everything we could want ready at the house. He was truly the Host with the Most! So many extra amenities were included. At the end of each day we had lit a fire and relaxed in the backyard and made S’mores. The house is close to two small beaches that are away from the large crowds-one sandy and one covered with beautiful rocks of all colors. We came home with a pocket full😀 The house is a short drive to Holland, Saugatuck, and St. Joseph so you can take easy day trips as well. We will definitely return for another stay. Marc was the perfect host for us while we stayed on property for a beautiful fall wedding in South Haven. The space had such character and has small touches that really made the difference for us traveling with an infant. We would recommend this space to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay!

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The house was very clean and well stocked. Marc was a great and responsive host that pays attention to detail.

We had a really lovely weekend at Marc’s place in South Haven. The property is just as listed, tastefully decorated, and with so many extras that you typically don’t get in a rental. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen is equipped with everything you would need and more. Marc’s thoughtfulness and hospitality were evident in many ways. Marc greeted us when we arrived and had given us a detailed email beforehand with lots of ideas for things to do, places to go, and restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - with links to websites. South Haven is a great little lakeside town. We walked the pier, watched the sunset over the lake, watched kite surfers on north beach, and had good food at Su Casa, The Three Blondes Brewing, Cafe Julia, and Bunde’s. One unexpected joy was watching hummingbirds, woodpeckers, nuthatches, and butterflies in the back garden of the house - a great spot to sit and read, chat or doze off. This will certainly be on our list of places to come back to!

Although it did rain, it didn’t dampen our stay at Marc’s property what so ever! He always made sure we had what we needed, made sure we had dry firewood to have a bonfire when the rain was done, and gave us great ideas of things to do in the area! The house was so peaceful and cozy! Definitely will be back again!

The property is in a peaceful location, Relaxing and quiet. The place has everything you need along with a relaxing fire pit in the back of the house. Close to Lake Michigan's South Beach and some good places to eat downtown as well. Marc, the owner is a really nice man and out did himself with making sure we erything was taken care of. Will definitely be back here again.

They thought of every accommodation you could want. Place was tidy and clean and exceeded expectations.

Our first time using Vrbo not disappointed

I visited this property with a group of friends from college. Our stay was amazing. We were excited to see the kitchen stocked with condiments, drinks, seasonings, spices, and s’more ingredients! The communication with Marc was great as well. He is very kind and receptive to any and all questions or concerns. The backyard area is the best I have come across at a rental property. The beautiful fire pit set alongside a large vegetable garden made for a great space to look at the stars, listen to music, and enjoy a few cold beverages! Location wise, the property couldn’t be better. A very short drive to a small local beach, just down the road from South Beach and the rest of downtown South Haven, and less than a 15 minute drive from both of South Haven’s best golf courses. The property is just far enough removed from South Haven to make it feel like you are camping in the woods, except with all the amenities of a cabin! I would definitely recommend groups of friends, families, and couples looking for a getaway to stay at this property. When I return to South Haven, I will absolutely stay here again. Thanks Marc!

We come to Michigan every summer for a family getaway and this little home was one of our favorites! Marc is the ultimate host....every little necessity and then some was provided. Any question was responded to immediately. Suggestions on what to do, where to eat, etc. were above and beyond anything we expected. This home and it's owner are a rare gem!

Well, we’re back home now, for a day, and I already miss it and want to go back. In fact, I’ve already scheduled our next trip back! Where do I even begin? I’m pretty particular about where I stay, cleanliness being the number one priority, which this place absolutely was!! Location, things to do in the area, cost, are all things I consider as well. What I rarely consider is the host, basically it’s kind of an in/out kind of deal for most VRBO rentals we’ve stayed it. Here’s the code, email with any issues, be out by this time. This place was the COMPLETE opposite! The host is such a huge selling point in this rental. Marc is simply incredible! Every single detail is perfection. From the personalized welcome sign, to the s’mores ingredients in the adorable tin, to the chocolate on the nightstand, to the stocked fridge, to the vegetable garden which the kids picked tomatoes from, to the departure gift (can’t wait to eat tomrorow). This guy….has thought of every single thing. In addition to his incredible attention to detail, he communicates throughout the trip with helpful suggestions. We ended up feeling like we kinda knew Marc, almost even a friend, he was that kind. We loved every single thing about this place! We texted him how much we were enjoying everything and he said “I love what I do.” Well, Marc, it shows. We so enjoyed every single thing about our visit, the bike rides to the beach, the record player, the beautiful grounds, the guest book, and everything in between. I could have moved in, this house is special. ❤️ What a gem. Many thanks! Oh! And thank you for mailing our charger back at no charge when we accidentally left it there, you’re one of kind, Marc! Also. I need a “grape and cheese house” in my life now. That thing was the cutest EVER.

We had a wonderful vacation. Marc was a wonderful host! We had absolutely everything we needed. Our kids loved the rock painting supplies! My husband absolutely loved the record player w the awesome music choices! Beaches were gorgeous. The house was clean and so close to the town and beaches. Thank you for being such a attentive host!

This house was beautifully tucked away off the beaten path. Marc, the owner, lives in a farmhouse on the property. The home and yard are both beautiful. Marc had many nice touches in the house to welcome us and make us feel at home. His communication with us was superb, and he emailed so many helpful suggestions of where to go and where to eat. The beach was just a short drive down the road. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again in the future!
