The WOW house is just that, WOW!! The view is spectacular through all the large windows. House is cozy and well equipped. The owner replies promptly and is friendly! We’ll definitely be back.

As soon as we walked up the stairs to the main living area, everyone said "Wow" The kitchen has everything that you will ever need/want. The pantry is well stocked with spices, oil, aluminum foil and every type of pots and pans. Once seeing all of this bounty we ditched plans to eat at a restaurant and instead we did a quick shop at a nearby grocery store and cooked a nice prime rib dinner! Shopping, restaurants and gift shops are all located within two miles of the house. Rent this house, then you can thank me later.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The view and living area are immaculate! You can’t beat have the panoramic ocean view with the windows open. The decorations and vibe make you feel like you are in a different world. We were able to easily access the beach down the path right outside the home. Nye beach shops are a short walk away. We had all amenities for our toddler and enough items in the kitchen to have any meal prepared.

It was a wonderful weekend catching up with family and friends. One of us came from CA and one from Wisconsin. We all got together for the Seafood and Wine Festival. The house was great and the view was spectacular!! We will definitely come back again.

First of all I am in know way throwing shade on the house and the overall stay. I am just frustrated due to lack of communication AFTER we checked out. We did enjoy our stay and had great communication with Jim and Laura prior to the stay. It was just afterward when I had an issue that I feel like I am being ignored. We had a great time, the house was a typical beach house with lots of character and quirks. We loved it! The views were incredible, we expected a few odditiies and the house does have them. A few upgrades are in order but overall the time spent in the WOW house was everything we could have hoped for. Now, my experience has been somewhat soured as I find I left a few clothing items in the drawer in the master bedroom. it was a couple of weeks after we returned home - you know how it is - settling in, catching up on laundry, unpacking, putting away Christmas loot, work, etc. I realized I was missing clothes and figured I missed emptying one drawer. yes my fault, but one would think the cleaning staff would check for left items after EVERY check out and notify the owners. Apparently not, as I have reached out to Jim and Laura several times and just feel like nobody is interested in what happened to the items left. Were they thrown away, taken home by staff, donated? Value wise, I would say about $100 bucks. But it's the being ignored that bothers me. So we paid our money, we stayed, we are gone. No longer any value in maintaining a happy guest.

The pictures don’t do the property justice. The views consistently took our breath away. Walks on the beach or into town were easy and frequent. Our hosts were outstanding communicators and quickly responded to any inquiries we had. The fully-stocked kitchen made cooking a pleasure. We highly recommend visiting the Wow House!

We just so happened to be staying here during the big ice storm in January. Lost power for most of the stay, but the host was easy to access throughout the event telling us where we could find wood to burn and about the extra blankets etc. Overall a very well stocked home which is super nice, excellent views, and a large kitchen and table that comfortably seated 8 adults which was a huge plus. The Oregon coast is no stranger to wild weather and big storms, and it was apparent during the rainstorm that the wear and tear on the house has been slowly adding up with several leaks primarily around the fireplace. Overall, the house was clean though which is so important to us, as mentioned already, it was well stocked, a great and responsive host, and it had a fantastic view!!!

This vacation rental is set up like a home, not a vacation rental. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and all the closets and cupboards had extra sheets, towels, and paper products. The furniture was comfortable and we really liked that there were lots of seating options. I'm always hesitant to book a home that allows pets (even though we have a pet). In the past we've come across homes that smell like pet urine or are really worn with obvious pet hair on furniture. This home was incredibly clean. It did not smell. There was some staining on the light colored carpet upstairs but it seemed more from people use than pet damage. The home is located in a very quiet neighborhood and is only a few steps from a trail down to the beach. The unobstructed views of the lighthouse, beach, and ocean were amazing and were exactly why we booked this house. We were there the week before Christmas for an early Christmas vacation and the house was set up with a tree which we really appreciated. The house had everything we needed, was comfortable for our party of 5 (plus a dog), and we would book again!

This was the second year or family got together at the WOW House. The photos on the website are the actual views of the Oregon Coast as our family sat around the fireplace in the living room area. The WOW House is a short walk to the ocean and easily accessible to nearby restaurants and shops. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the rooms are clean and comfy. A must for a Newport Oregon stay!

The living room and kitchen are spacious with unobstructed views of beach and lighthouse. The master bedroom is very comfortable. The beach access is convenient. The owners are friendly and responsive. We look forward to our next visit.

We enjoyed the house, location and the ease of communication! We were looking for a place on the beach and though it’s not on the beach the view of the beach is good and the trail to the beach was navigable for my 2 yo. We enjoyed the living room and kitchen! The place was well stocked from bedding and linens to kitchen stuff and goods we don’t normally see at rentals like shampoo, TP, paper towels and light bulbs. I changed a few blown bulbs as the living room and kitchen were a little dark. We wished the fireplace had the handles, but I found them and next time would reach out to the owners to see if we could use it. Everyone in our party agreed that it was a house worth returning to!

Thought it was a nice property .........the house was situated on a bluff with awesome views. Wife didn't think it was cleaned well enough, but I didn't notice it. Loved the location. Central to amenities. Beds were a little soft.....but slept okay. Would stay here again.

Came back for the wonderful views and house for the third year. The house is equipped with anything you could possibly need ( we found a martini shaker ! ) and the views go on for ever. The host are very easy to work with and quick to respond. Highly recommend and we hope to return again.

Very dated but incredible views & quite roomy. Needs fire place tools. Furniture was quite dated but functional. Master bath had no door but Ok. Master bed was very comfortable. All in all, good place.

This property is getting a little old in the tooth but it was comfortable and the views are awesome!

Great low-key pet friendly home with plenty of room for family. Awesome view of Yaquina Head and easy beach access.

We were looking for a place to stay with a few family members and my kids to celebrate my birthday. We wanted a view of the ocean and beach. This place definitely delivered! The house was warm and comfortable. We loved all of the decorations. I stayed in the master suite. My family stayed downstairs. They did mention that when they laid down to sleep there was a not great smell of dogs and my son said the carpet was a bit smelly in the living room. But we didn’t expect perfection. It was perfectly clean and comfortable. Could maybe use a refresh on the carpeting is all. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely stay again if we had the opportunity. The views make it the perfect place to stay if you love the ocean.

It was a fantastic view and very homey. It was a little outdated but very clean. The house was very well equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans, and dishes. Would definitely recommend

The house has plenty of space, kitchen was well stocked and the view is truly the best. Not having a house next door is the best. Privacy and an unobstructed view. We truly enjoyed our stay.

We really loved the house. The view was great The walk to the beach was fairly easy. We will be back next year.

The views from the living room and deck are unbelievable. The house is clean and well stocked. There is beach access and the Nye District is a short walk away. Beware that the trail to the beach may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The only other potential issue is the lack of a door on the main bedroom bathroom. That took some getting used to. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a blast. The views are spectacular. The house is perfect for the littles. The beach trail is an adventure for the littles. We can’t wait to return.

My family and I (4 adults, 3 kids and a baby) stayed in this house for 3 nights and it was not enough time for any of us. We all loved it and did not want to come home. Dealing with the owners was very easy and they were very friendly. This home has a lot of character and the decorations the owners have used throughout the whole house was definitely one of my favorite things about it. The home was clean and had anything and everything we could possibly need. Even down to baby items. My 11 month old granddaughter was with us and there was a playpen and mini highchair for her to use and a baby gate to keep her safe from the stairs. The whole entire time we were at the house I spent all my time either on the deck or in the kitchen and was in absolute heaven. The views are just amazing! I loved being in the kitchen cooking and cleaning with those views and having the barstools at the counter and the giant dining table that my family would hang out at so we all could hang out together. We loved having the dining table to all sit down at and eat together as a family. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for all of us. The walk to the beach was nice. My little girls really enjoyed picking berries on the way. The beach was clean and not crowded with people. If I could give this home more than 5 stars I would! We are already starting to plan our trip back next summer. And we will definitely be staying longer than we got to this time.

We will definitely be back to the WOW house. As you walk inside you can’t help but feel at home. It’s the perfect mix of cozy home and vacation at the beach. Plenty of space for our family of four and even our pup. The house was very well stocked, everything you could need. Beach access is fairly easy although the climb back up was a bit steep for our 4 year old. He managed to figure it out. The location couldn’t be better. It’s on a quiet dead end road but less than 3 minutes drive from restaurants and grocery stores. The owners were very responsive and helpful throughout the process. You can tell they really care about their home. No complaints at all!! Loved it!

My family and I had such a lovely weekend here. The location can’t be beat, stunning views, stellar little trail for beach access right out of your doorway. The house itself is full of natural light, spacious, well stocked, and tidy. We even tried to stay an extra night because we just weren’t ready to leave and go back to the city. Communication from the hosts was helpful, kind, and quick! We can’t wait to stay again and next time we’ll make sure to reserve one more day.

This was the perfect house for a family outing with my brothers family, including both out adult kids. The views of the beach and lighthouse are amazing. And it’s an easy walk to the beach. The house had everything we needed: a well supplied kitchen, lots of towel and beach gear. Decor is cute.

Excellent location to relax and enjoy the view! Kitchen had EVERYTHING you can think of, I love to cook so it was a huge plus. Owners are very responsive and helpful.

Sorry to have to report the following: This property is extremely dirty, outdated, and in poor condition. I wish I could post the 40+ photos I took of this property where there are layers of dirt and cobwebs clinging to everything: Walls, lampshades, windows, and every piece of artwork is draped with cobwebs and filth. I set a magazine on the fireplace hearth and a puff of dust blew into the air. Gross! The house smells moldy and like animal waste. The carpets are filthy and smell horrible. The blinds are filthy and worn. The cedar walls have cobwebs and dirt all over them. The draperies are dry rotted and water stainedin the lower level bedroom. The furniture is old, uncomfortable, and torn. One of the dining chairs lost a leg while we were there - we had to screw it back together. The leather sofa smells like feces and is very worn. The oven door does not close all the way and one of our guests got burned on the stove top controls due to this defect. The windows are so dirty, you can't even see out of them. The fireplace does not work. There is no space in the kitchen for your groceries - it is over-cluttered with too many kitchen items. There were no food storage items so I left behind the foil, plastic wrap, and baggies that I had to purchase for food storage. Jim and Lana sent a housekeeper over for three hours while we were there but she could not even make a dent in the level of filth of this house. Request a video walk-through before booking!

What a great place to get our adult children and their wives together. Wow House has a great location, the kitchen is fully stocked, everyone found a bed to their liking, and the VIEWS are amazing from almost every room. With the trail next to the house you can be on the beach in just a few minutes. Perfect location to walk into Nye Beach and we even walked to the Yaquina lighthouse one day, about a 6 - 7 mile roundtrip via the beach. Be aware that the house has not been updated or deeply cleaned so if this bothers you, you won't be happy. The benefits mentioned above are well worth it.
