Stephano helping us throughout our stay was invaluable! We loved walking to the restaurants and shops in the evening. It was a great location. He helped arrange several of our activities and gave great recommendations. We had a flat tire during our stay and he even helped us change it!

I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in La Fortuna/Arenal area. From the time we arrived until we left, all our needs were met. Stefano helped us arrange a whitewater rafting trip and gave us recommendations on restaurants. This was a wonderful trip for us and part of that was because of Stefano and Yorlenny. We appreciated feeling so welcome and the home was beautiful!!

we were fortunate to have clear skies throughout our stay and amazing views of Arsenal. The hosts were very responsive, and the property, though on the edge of the city, is an easy 10-minute walk to restaurants and shops.

The house was very clean, well equipped, and in a fabulous location close to downtown La Fortuna. The proximity to everything allowed us to easily travel back and forth from our adventures and touring to the house for rest and relaxation. We were fortunate to have the volcano show itself a couple of times, and the view from the balcony is amazing. Early mornings drinking coffee on the balcony, while listening to the sounds of nature was my favourite time there. Unfortunately, we had a mixup upon arrival, in which messages from the owner went to my junk mail and I did not see them. This did understandably upset him and it set our greeting off on the wrong foot and left me feeling terrible about the situation. Needless to say, we did not get the same personal experience, chats and recommendations from the owner that everyone else has raved about In the reviews. His wife, Yorlenny, was very sweet and kind however. Aside from that, we had an enjoyable stay, and do recommend this rental as the owners have done a wonderful job of making it comfortable for guests.

This was our second visit to Villa Trentino. The owners are very nice to deal with and most helpful in arranging tours etc. Wouldnt hesitate to come again.

My wife, kids & I didn’t want to leave after our 5 day stay came to an end. Stefano & Yorlenny are the best hosts we’ve ever had. From the time our stay was booked, to adding a couple more days, all the great recommendations, the location, the house, the property, the… everything, was the best! You will never feel so welcomed, sleep so well & feel so safe as you will at Villa Trentino. The house itself is beautiful & has everything you need to feel right at home. Comfy beds, kitchen necessities, drinkable tap water, good shower pressure, amazing views, etc. And it shares the property with another house which has your hosts (which is a great plus if you need anything or have questions). The location is great. Set right outside of the busy area of Fortuna’s town center. You could walk to just about everything if you choose. Driving is also not a problem at all. The area feels very welcoming & safe. Definitely take Stefano up on his recommendations, his knowledge & connections will come in handy. Especially Arenal Rafting, which our 9 yr old daughter said she had the best day of her life at. We had originally planned to stay 3 days & we’re fortunate enough to add on 2 more. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay there for our entire 2 week vacation. This rental lived up to everything in its listing & more. Thanks again Stefano & Yorlenny!!! Pura Vida!!!

Loved the walk-ability of this location! Other people we were traveling with were at least a 10 minute drive out of town but we could always walk to dinner whenever we met up. Stefano was super helpful with recommendations and making sure we were familiar with the surroundings.

We had a great time! The property es charming and with a great location! The hosts are amazing! Everything you need for a great stay.

We loved the villa and property, the grounds were maintained nicely and the view of the volcano was amazing. It was an easy walk to town and we felt safe walking in the neighborhood at night. Stefano and Yorlenny were very nice and made sure our stay was comfortable , Stefano took the time to give us some very good advice on which tours to take and even got us a discount at Baldi hot springs.

Great location, very clean and felt very safe there. It was a great base camp for our stay. Do the day passes for The Springs or the adventure pass. So amazing to spend the nights relaxing there and coming back to this home instead or paying the high resort prices.

The little red casita, hosted by Stefano and Yoelany, was a little bit of heaven! The house is small but perfect for a couple. Bedrooms have AC and the tiny upstairs balcony faces the Arenal Volcano, a gorgeous view! We loved the beautiful enclosed garden with pretty flowering plants and lots of hummingbirds. One day, standing in the garden, we spied a howler monkey in a tall tree and a toucan in another tree. Amazing!

Lovely couple own/run the small villa on their own spacious property. One week stay was perfect for our needs. All was well explained at beginning. No hitches. Delightful stay.

This home had everything we needed plus beautiful land and amazing view of the volcano. Stefano was a gracious host and gave us ideas of how to spend our days based on weather forecasts and what would be best with our 2 young kids. He was also very responsive and kind with my questions and changes leading up to our stay. Highly recommend!

Steffano was a great host with a great place in a great location. A great view of Arenal volcano from the balcony and only a 10min walk to downtown. Steffano was more than welcoming and was able to hook us up on some great excursions at a reasonable price. I would stay here again!

Secure and clean. The construction next door is only during the day. La Fortuna and the surrounding area have plenty to offer and this place is perfect for exploring.

Great place to stay. The host is very helpful. Nice to have a friend who can give you the local scoop and recommendations. The house is walking distance to El Salto. What a great place. We went three times walking from the house. Walking distance to downtown as well. Gorgeous views of the volcano. The house is nice and bright as well. The yard gives you lots of space so you don’t feel boxed in. We’d stay here again.

We had an amazing time at Villa Trentino. Stefano and his wife were amazing hosts, giving us so much information about local attractions and even aiding is in booking them. They are very personable and helpful, and just good people. The house was wonderful and spotlessly clean. We loved watching the volcano and hummingbirds and other birds from the balcony of the main bedroom. The house was well appointed, we lacked for nothing. We also loved that we could walk to many restaurants and stores from the house. Highly recommend!

We (two couples) stayed at Villa Trentino for four nights to take in the sights of La Fortuna and the Arenal volcano. We had had several communications with Stefano before we arrived and got great advice from him about the logistics of getting there. When we arrived a couple of hours early, he and Yorlenny were there to greet us and show us the property. They were warm hosts who made our stay easy and helped us to make bookings for various tours, even when we asked late at night for a booking the next morning. Stefano made several excellent suggestions about which tours to choose and gave us several great recommendations of restaurants in the town. The property is in a safe location, within easy walking distance of the town, with a great view of the volcano. A visit to La Fortuna is highly recommended and Villa Trentino is the perfect place to stay.

If you are looking for a place to stay in La Fortuna, look no further. The house is ideally situated: walking distance to the town and a supermarket, but in in a quiet, safe "compound" away from the noise and hectic activity of the town. Steffano is wonderful; he is great source of info, advice, and recommendations, but respectful of not intruding and guest privacy. The house was clean and comfortable with many birds on the grounds. Perfect.

This place is close to perfection. I don't really write reviews as most places I go are acceptable but this one clearly stands out. Neat, clean, with every single thing you need availabl... you cannot go wrong with it. Oh, and the best part, youll get special attention and treatment from the owner. I would say by car is ideal but also, a decent walkable distance from downtown.

Stefano was an excellent host, He gave was good suggestions and was very helpful in making reservations. The property and yard are lovely, We only stayed for 3 three nights so we didn't get to see as much of the area as we would have liked. We hope to return someday soon.

We absolutely loved the property. Everything is so walkable which was super important to us. There are plenty of traditional sodas and many other restaurants nearby. The supermarkets were also very close. The kitchen is well equipped and makes cooking very easy. One morning I made myself a smoothie with local fruits from the farmers market! Stefano and Yorlenny are wonderful hosts! They keep the place so clean and have made it so cozy. Stefano gave us a lot of information about local tours that really helped us solidify our plans. The view is amazing and if you like to get up early you will see a lot of wonderful birds! The first morning we saw a collared Aracari right outside of the kitchen and we saw a lot of Golden-hooded tanagers, all before 8 am! I will happily stay here again the next time I am in La Fortuna!

Pura Vida! Stefano and his wife define the meaning of Costa Rican hospitality. The view and the ambience resonated with my family every morning. We stayed at his beautiful dwelling for a week and everyday was a new adventure! There is so much to experience in this wonderful oasis in La Fortuna, Arenal. Stefano's passion for Pura Vida emanates from his pores and provides super-helpful tips and recommendations. The home is welcoming and very warm. In the morning, we would awake to the beautiful songs of exotic birds along with frequent visits from tucans, hummingbirds, herons, etc. The town is close by with a lot of dining options and of course all of the other activities, e.g. white water rafting, zip-lining, thermal springs, wildlife interaction and so much more!!!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely house. The location is perfect to explore Fortuna by foot - but is also very peacefully located directly next to the nature. The secluded garden makes it a great retreat. From the cute balcony you can watch the birds in the morning. The rooms offer everything you need and we could sleep well due to the air conditioner and the good beds. Stefano, the owner, lives next door on the large property and is very helpful but never disturbing. He helped us to arrange two great activities - thank you! We definitely can recommend the trip to the national park up north (wildlife and more) and to Paradise Hot Springs. A hiking trip at the volcano should also be made. The house is in the perfect spot to do all of that!

We LOVED staying at Villa Trentino!!! It was clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. Stefano a d his wife are amazing hosts and the friendliest of people. Their knowledge of the area of La Fortuna is vast and they will help you plan excursions, if you want. The grounds around the house are beautiful with lots of flowers. I would DEFINITELY stay here again!!

I can’t say enough about this property! First of all, the location is perfect. You’re in a nice, quiet neighborhood, but still walking distance to town. Secondly, you won’t find a better value. You have a full cottage to yourself in a beautiful, garden property, a full kitchen, laundry and A/C in both bedrooms. And finally, having the owners in the cottage next door is the biggest benefit of all. Stefano was very accessible to answer questions, and provide us with great recommendations. More importantly, when our battery died in our rental car, he was more than willing to help. Stefano tried to jumpstart our car, communicated and coordinated with a local mechanic to exchange the battery, and even gave us a ride to Paradise Hot Springs so we didn’t miss out on our 1st night in Fortuna. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible stay, and we’re so grateful for his genuine, kind hospitality. We’d absolutely recommend staying at Villa Trentino!
