We booked the cabin for a family vacation as my parents sold their lake home last year an my in-laws sold their cabin a few years ago. This place was fantastic. It was very spacious and very well maintained. The yard was beautiful as was the dock and boat. We had many swims from the included pontoon and fires on the patio overlooking the lake. Although spacious and private, the property is an easy walk to downtown Alex. We would walk into town every morning for coffee and sometimes walked back later to do a little shopping. If you're looking for a family vacation on a lake, this is the place!

We all really enjoyed our week at the house. There were 9 adults and 2 children, age 2. There was ample room for all of us! Our son and son-in-law really enjoyed fishing the lake with the pontoon. We all enjoyed cruising the lake at sunset. The kayaks were lots of fun. On Friday we had a fish fry with all the fish that was caught- yum! Overall, we all had a great week and really enjoyed the house and outdoor area. The only problem we had was with the Wifi, but Mickey was very prompt with helping us solve the issue and our son-in-law was able to attend a business video conference. Thanks for a great Week!

Everything went smoothly. The home was ready for us and was well supplied with paper products, spices, and condiments and was very clean. I'm sure people have been leaving their condiments behind when they leave as there was a plethora of mustards and ketchups in the refrigerator. We enjoyed the patios as we could watch the kids swimming and paddle boarding and even sit out in the rain and stay dry on one of them. The sauna was a pleasant surprise and enjoyed by many. We played many yard games as there was plenty of room for that as well. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us for the week.

Overall the stay was good. Property was nice and well kept. Clean and well furnished. Few minor issues, left message about them with property manager. One big issue was pontoon- wasn't as advertised! It was a huge booking plus for us. When we arrived there was a note on the table . Stated that use at own risk-not guaranteed operational! Hasn't been licensed since 2021. Took out for test run-ran terrible, quit running 2x. Very misleading advertising. We would have brought our own if we had known

Our family loved the indoor and outdoor space of this beautiful property, and the owners were gracious hosts, providing everything we needed and more. We’ve already discussed booking again next year.

This was our second stay at the property and we were excited to come back. We enjoy the area, the scenery and the amenities at the house. We came with more family members this time as we were staying at the property after our son's college graduation. The family members who weren't here the last time were impressed with the lodging and the natural beauty of the area. We enjoyed the fire pit every day - both for warmth and to cook many of our meals. We spent some time on the lake using the boat and our son really enjoyed his time kayaking on the lake. The short walk to the historic downtown Alexandria area was really fun and we shopped at several of the quaint stores. We were a little disappointed at the the cleanliness of the refrigerator/freezer (it had a smell) and we used some bicarb to deal with the issue. There were also some trash items in both fire pits and the grills needed some cleaning. When I took the bedding off the beds as we were leaving, I noticed that all the mattress covers were dirty. ?Maybe they should be cleaned after each guest. The showers in the basement and off the back porch has some black fungus visible that we cleaned with Clorox spray. Other than those few things, we were super happy with the property and will certainly come back if it's in our future plans. We highly recommend enjoying both the sunrise and sunset with your favorite beverage.

We stayed here with our three children and their spouses. The house is beautiful and there was plenty of room for all of us! The decor was lovely, and the sauna and fire pits were an added bonus. The kitchen was very well stocked with small appliances, dishes and utensils. The weather didn't turn out as nice as we had hoped, but there was plenty of space indoors for board games, movies and just relaxing. We definitely plan to return!

This property is huge and was extremely clean in every room. The bedrooms are all spread out so you don't hear other people. The cabin was very well stocked in the kitchen as well as in the bathrooms. We all enjoyed staying here and are sure to come back!

We stayed at this place 2 years ago and loved it, so we were back. Christmas was magical here. Lots of room with bedrooms, beds, and also a nice big living room. can't say enough about how great it was. Lots of games to play, and very well stocked. This place was wonderful in the winter, but it would be spectacular in the summer. You will not regret staying here.

This is a wonderful rental for a large group. It is a nice leisurable walk to downtown Alexandria from this location. Just around a mile walk -- made the walk several times as it was gorgous weather while we were there. The yard is large and made for great outdoor space for bucket golf and the kids to run. It would be an amazing space during the summer when access to the lake would be available, but we found lots to do in and around Alexandria.

our family our 14 totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The house was plenty big, enough space for us all. Kitchen was very well stocked with all supplies you would need. We enjoyed the bonfires with the wood provided. Our weather was awesome!. The pontoon that came with the house was not what we thought, and we did not get to use it. But that did not put a damper on things, nor would it have changed our mind staying here, it just would have been nice to get out on the lake with temps being near perfect for it. Overall we had a great time. House was clean, beds comfy.

The weather, location, & home were perfect! Lots to do- boating, fishing, kayaking, biking, trails nearby, games, beautiful patios w/fire pits - all well stocked. Owner was prompt & helpful with questions. We would highly recommend this lake home today anyone looking for a nice and peaceful vacation. 😊👍👍

This place was wonderful! We enjoyed our time relaxing, fishing and many other activities.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a great space for our group. We enjoyed the patios, the fire pit by the lake, the pontoon, the bikes, swimming, and fishing off the dock. We were able to catch enough perch and sunfish for two meals. It's close proximity to town allowed us to bike in for bait or a coffee break at Cariboo.

The property is exactly as advertised and it fit our group well. The morning sunrise over the lake was something that was enjoyed every day. The back yard is quite private and the patio is set up very well. We had everything we needed to totally enjoy a relaxing week with family. I would recommend this property to everyone.

We had a great time at McCabe Cabin on Lake Henry! There were so many things to do at the cabin and in the surrounding area. From the pontoon, kayaks, paddles board, bikes, sauna and fishing gear to the scotch tape, beach towels, beach bags, batteries and birthday candles, this place had all the comforts of home and many convenient amenities. The weather was significantly cooler than predicted, so we enjoyed more time biking (bikes provided) the local bike trails and enjoying the local parks than planned. Ice cream shops and playgrounds are easily accessible from bike paths. We enjoyed pontoon rides and campfires every day. Our group of 12 ranged in age from 3 to 63 and everyone had a great time! There was plenty of space for all of us to find a spot for alone-time for a mid-day rest. Mickey was wonderful to work with and very responsive!

The house was perfect. Lots of room for everyone. The pontoon was a little old but that just added to its charm and it worked great. Only downside was the sauna. It wasn’t t working for the first few days, but Mickey got it up and running by Tuesday. I would recommend this home to everyone.

Had a great time. The house worked well for our family. Comfortable and spacious. Fishing wasn’t great for us but the weather was perfect. We did find that the pullout couch downstairs was broke so we had to use the air mattress. Also the boat license was expired. Disappointed that we couldn’t launch our boat on the lake anf we had to go to another lake for tubing. Overall, we had a fun week making family memories. Thank you.

We had a relaxing stay at this property! Even though the temperature was in the upper 90s part of the week, the air conditioner kept the house cool! And the beach area was popular!

Everything was awesome. We had a family of 10 from 1-70 yrs old and everyone had a great time. Swimming, playing in the sand and exploring all the toys and books for the little ones and a very clean and comfortable home for the adults. The home had everything we needed for cooking and all the different bedrooms were nice to have your private space. Enjoyed pontoon rides in the evening and the kids had fun fishing off the dock. Highly recommend the home!

We had such a great time together with friends and family. Prime rib dinner was awesome 👌 the home is so cozy and large enough for a crowd. I would definitely love to spend another stay maybe in the summer the lake looks nice 🤔

Cabin was well stocked with plenty of room for the 9 of us. Location was great as it was close to downtown Alex as well as the area lakes

Big house great for multiple families , or for trip with friends. Clean, pretty stocked up, spacious, right on the lake. Ice fishing, ice skating and skiing near by.
