Sandy beach was a huge hit! The camp provides 2 large sun umbrellas with stands, many different types of sand chairs and plastic Adirondack chairs for our beach experience. We enjoyed using one of the two canoes. Life vests of various sizes were available. We had 2 fires in the fire-pit at night. Kindling available on the beach and we brought a few logs for burning. There are essentially 2 living areas plus the kitchen and 6 bedrooms. We spent most of our inside time on the porch overlooking the water and in the dining area either eating or playing games. Many of us utilized the outdoor shower, which looks new and had a basket to put clothes in so they wouldn't get wet. Window fans in the bedrooms were super helpful as a couple of our evenings were quite warm. Chris was easily accessible by phone and helpful. We would definitely return for a family vacation in the future! Thank you, Chris!

Chris the owner was incredibly helpful and fast with responses. The house was exceptionally clean. Right on the private beach in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room for multiple families (with adult children). The views from the house and beach were incredible, great kayaking, great night fire pit, great location (close enough to everything but far enough for plenty of quiet relaxation). Went to sleep and awoke to the sounds of the waves lapping on the shore. I really can’t say enough about Chris and the house…

This property is a winner for our group of seven friends, with spaces for all of us and each of us. This is year five here on the lake, and the setting couldn’t be any better.

The Big Yellow Camp is an excellent place to stay. The property was clean and well supplied with the necessities for our vacation. The owner was very responsive about any questions or concerns we had prior to our stay.

The Big Yellow Camp was absolutely perfect for our stay in VT - enough room for our family of 4 (two teens) and extended family who joined us to experience everything that Burlington/VT have to offer. Idyllic setting on Lake Champlain, the house had everything we needed and more, including a traditional VT “Camp” vibe. Loved our stay and will be back!

There were 10 of us that thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed the yellow house. Location right on water was beautiful and spent time floating and swimming in crystal clear Lake Champlain. Camp was also close to bike trail and short car ride to Burlington shops and restaurants. Owner was very quick to respond to questions and camp had all of the furnishings necessary. Would highly recommend!

This was the second year we stayed here at the camp. Water is beautiful! The house is big enough for all 10 adults and 3 children. Chris is very kind and easy to talk to. My grandkids love it here. Will definitely be back! Thank you Cunningham family for sharing your camp with us.

This was our fourth year at the big yellow camp, and each year it gets better! For example, this year, 2021, we found a lovely newly remodeled bathroom, and another bunk bed in one of the rooms. The kitchen is equipped with any utensil, dish, pot or pan that one could want. Games, cards, little library, plenty of sitting spaces offered more for leisure times. The views, breezes, water, sun, sand — all you could want for a fabulous vacation. What more can be said!

Very smooth process from start to finish! The owners were very responsive to our needs with any corrective action. The location was beautiful and the views from the glassed and screened room were tremendous. The eating area had plenty of room and views. The sleeping acomadations were great. Their attention to the COVID-19 situation Was spot on and comforting to us. The sandy beach and bottom of the lake was perfect for all ages! We truly enjoyed ourselves! The only thing that would be nice to of had was an outdoor shower privacy screen. ( might be a building code issue) GREAT PROPERTY !!

We had a great time, could not beat the location. We didn’t have to drive anywhere to enjoy the beautiful lake.. The water was nice and shallow for the little kids but deep enough that the kids could kayak, canoe and paddleboard to their hearts content. We also enjoyed the nearby bike trails. John was accessible for any questions throughout our stay.

Lovely place for a family vacation. Enjoyed with 3 generations (the youngest were 7 months, 15 months, 4 and 6). Shallow lake area was perfect for the kids. Beds were comfortable. Sunsets beautiful. Highly recommended!

Cottage is rustic, but clean, well equipped and spacious! Location is great for biking and visiting area attractions or just kicking back on the beach - just outside the door! We had a great week! Thank you Cunningham Family!

Simple (not luxurious) camp house, in a wonderful Lake Champlain location. Very nice location for families with bikes. In same family since 1948. We'll be back.

The house worked great for the 12 of us - eight adults and four small children. Six bedrooms, all with very comfortable beds, a great porch looking out on the lake, an eating area just off the kitchen that worked extremely well. The living room is large and well equipped,although with the excellent weather we didn't use it that much. The kitchen isn't large but worked just fine - a large refrigerator, lots of utensils and dishes, and well located in the house. The bathrooms are small but worked just fine, and there is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water that we used a lot. It is a great location, right on the shore of Lake Champlain, friendly neighbors, plenty of parking space. We would rent this again!

We loved our week on Colchester Point. The camp is bright, the kitchen well equipped and the beach sandy and relaxing.

Our family had the most wonderful week at this summer cottage than we ever dreamt we would have. Our grandchildren, all seven them aged 7 - 17 never left there except for one day when we had a big celebration party with family & friends in downtown Burlington. They lived in the water 80% of the time using the paddle board and the canoe . Bon fire on the beach was the perfect way to end the day. Of course we were so lucky, the weather was perfect. I would definitely want to spend another week there when the time is right for my family to come together again for another reunion. Thank you Cunningham family, loved every minute of it.

I had a wonderful stay at the cottage this weekend. I loved stepping right out onto the beach to take a walk along the shore or go for a refreshing dip in the water. I enjoyed sitting on the cozy porch every morning, taking in the views. (There is great wifi, also making the porch the perfect place to get some work done.) There are many activities nearby with something for everyone, from an awesome bike path out over the water, to canoes, hiking, running, sailing, and much more. I would definitely recommend it for families or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on the lake. I look forward to going back in the future and spending more time at Camp Cunningham!

We had a great time at this lake property. The house was in good condition with plenty of space for our family. The beach was a bit windy, but beautiful and clean. adequate beach equipment provided by owner.

This cottage is the perfect summer get away. Our kids love the freedom and the variety of activities right out the back door - beach combing, canoes, catching fish, you name it. After an active day of hiking, running, or playing soccer, we love to come back to a relaxing afternoon on the beach. Many nights we have sat on the beach listening to the waves by a bonfire, roasting marshmallows, and enjoying great summer nights. Even better, waking up to the lake in the morning with a cup of coffee is the absolutely best way to start a day! We've enjoyed this cottage as a honeymoon getaway, family vacation and way to reconnect with our closest friends. It is a memory we look forward to making each summer!
